    Woo Hoo! I am so happy for you and your consistency, as well as the grace you offer yourself for being human instead of “perfect”. Congratulations on a successful month of August! I love that your goals are about good health - nutrition, exercise and sleep - and not just about losing weight no matter what the means. My goals for September are: - no screen time once I’m in bed - reading a novel for pleasure before sleep - finish the virtual race I joined online - guided meditation 3x/week Have a great week Fae!

    I joined a virtual race back in May to keep myself active during the pandemic lockdown. It is coming to an end on September 15th, so I’m thinking of joining another one.

    I love this video! I am a paper person as well. I have an agenda book also and have never been able to go over to using my phone. Like you, I’m less likely to check it for lists or commitments/appointments.

    I loved watching and listening to you. These are all really good “reasons” and, to be honest, I understand every single one of them. Thank you for talking about body dysmorphia - you described me and my image of myself in high school. You are not alone. I get it!

    I’m glad your setting goals. That’s the easiest way to accomplish things. Sometimes if I try to do something without setting goals I end up not doing great lol 😂 I’m proud of you and the landscapes were beautiful!

    I’m here and watching! I am looking forward to the weeks ahead. I love that you are setting boundaries for yourself and doing this YOUR WAY. That is an act of self-love and appreciation. You can only do you and anyone who tells you different is not correct!

    Hi Fae, my daughter (Fae) told me about your channel, so I’m following you as well. I was overweight in middle and high school. I was the “chubby” kid. Now that I am older and I look back, I realize my problem was more about my own thoughts and body image than it was about my actual physical weight (how I saw myself was very distorted). Yet, my friends were all skinnier than I was and that was pointed out by many outside my social circle. Once I had children, I too did not treat myself very well. My physical health, my weight, and my emotional health were not priorities. I had all kinds of excuses, but it came down to me. So on July 14, 2010, I began setting aside time for myself where I could exercise, journal, reflect, meditate and get to know who I was. Ten years later, this time each day is still carved out and set aside; it is now a long-term habit that I call a ritual because I can’t not do it - I have to or my day is not as good as it could be. It is the place each day that I have grown to know myself and eventually come to really love myself. So, here I am to follow you on your journey and cheer you on! Your child is an amazing reason for doing what you’re doing, but as time goes on I have no doubt that it will become all about YOU. I will be here to remind you that that reason is OK. You ARE worth it! And my last thought is this .... progress not perfection. :)

    Hi. My name is Fae Harris as well. I’m only 13 but I really do understand your struggle. I’ve never gone through it but people have told me my body isn’t perfect and that’s why I don’t really like showing off my body like wearing bathing suits and tank tops. I will be here, supporting you, and I hope you find yourself cause that’s the most important thing in life is to find yourself, and be who you want to be. And just don’t give up, okay? Don’t ever give up.
