How To Beat Friday the 13th (NES) Fast and Easy - walkthrough
Переглядів 354 тис.11 років тому
- A point I forgot to mention in the video - If you're fighting Jason indoors, it's best to stay in the centre of the screen. This makes it very easy to see Jason's predictable attack pattern coming. I grew up playing this game and never really understanding it until my older brother started taking it apart to figure out patterns. As the internet rolled around, the method for quickly getting a ...

Minecraft cart loop - 10 minutes long
Переглядів 57 тис.13 років тому
Disclaimer: *not* a loop de loop. It starts and ends at the same place, that's all. This took me a long time to build, and was done in survival mode (hence all the glass). The track starts and ends in the same relatively small building (at the end you can see the door I took to start the ride only a few blocks in front of where I stop). It's a loop of minecart rails that take about 10 minutes t...
Final Fantasy VI Kefka Final Battle - Berserker team part 2
Переглядів 4,2 тис.15 років тому
Second half of the Kefka fight with a berserker team. I got a little lucky in that I didn't see Merton/W. Wind from the last tier, nor did I get hit with Fallen One by Kefka. It doesn't really matter though, because the Marvel Shoes always seem to keep me alive in those situations and it's unlikely I would've fully lost a character because by that point Life 3 had been cast 300 times or so, whi...
Final Fantasy VI Kefka Final Battle - Berserker team part 1
Переглядів 11 тис.15 років тому
The whole finale battle fought with a totally uncontrollable team of Gau, Mog, Umaro, and Gogo. There are no cheats or hacks applied to make this fight work, although if you notice the Rage list you'll see Siegfried in there simply because I gave them an all-rages cheat but that doesn't change anything because as you can see the only rages I use are Stray Cat and Rhinox (for cat scratch and Lif...
This was so great. As someone whose first Zelda game was Links Awakening, I was scared of the first two Zelda games because of how difficult they supposedly were, but this made it easy to understand. It feels so great to go back and actually beat this installment
@@austin702 I'm glad you gave it a go! It would be nice if they'd give this game a remake to make it a little easier for people to experience it
My friend, I was there at the beginning (feeling like Elrond, here). This game has been legendary for its challenge level since the very day of its release.
Ive been looking for the one Tony Bacala mixed to The Autobop Jazz theme!
@anthonyhamm6875 i love that like once a year someone rolls by looking for stuff like this. Relics of the old internet.
@@FireGuts LOL! Yeah!
Because Christianity is the canon religion for this version of hyrule, I have come to think of this video as the bible
Loved this game
Awesome Video! Thank you ❤
i love you so much you are so great for this
I found out on Dracula's second form If you throw holy water at Dracula you can walk through him for a few seconds to sneak behind him.
@@jasonminote7499 i had no idea! That's rad, good find
I beat it when I was a kid. But I never could have done it without help. Too much super cryptic stuff.
@@howard2031 I can only assume I learned most of it from friends at school and gaming magazines
Awesome. This seems like the most straight to the point guide for the game. Other guides were very confusing or left details out. Will have to try this out.
@@theconsolekiller7113 I hope it helps! Exactly what I aim for - keep it to what you need to succeed
@@FireGuts Appreciate that. Whenever I try it again I will definately be checking this video.
Nobody believes me when I tell them I beat this game without a guide x:
It was tough but we considered it normal difficulty back then
Never could beat this game
Is the nightmare on elm st music from nes?
@@Ryu_Shotokan sure is
it will murder your thumbs but i tend to leave the first palace with 4 sword levels on that first boss kill but grinding out some bubbles at first. it just makes the first half of the game a breeze if you skip some health and magic levels and do that at the start.
death mountain is totally doable before the 2nd dungeon if your rocking 4 sword levels lol
@yeolemillinial8295 not gonna lie I've done that before. But I'd never advise it in a guide haha
By far the most difficult zelda game I've played. Hopefully this video can help for the next future play through
damn what a goat, for uploading the perfect guide for something this old, I finally beat the og castlevania with this thanks. shame theres no guide like this one for the other games.
@Gotta_bead_em_all I would if I could! Turns out I'm no good at 3 especially.
9:40 what is link thinking? Lol creep 😅
Doesn’t detail how to obtain the torch. I found another video. Great video overall. Thank you.
Oh yeah, Zelda II had the reputation for being crazy hard right from the jump. It was very loved, though. The idea that it was the odd one out developed over time. In those days, it was normal for sequels to be very different, and we didn't really question it. (It probably helped that we were all little kids. Adults just weren't really playing games very much back then.)
I'll always love this game. Yeah, it's difficult. But it's an NES game. A lot of great NES games are hard.
what if he attacks the children. almost impossible to dodge his cabin attacks and you can't get me to fight outside then.
@TheFinisher669 the lake cabin just kind of stinks. I'll often send whoever is the closest counselor to just get the fight done out there. Sometimes I'll let the 5 kids die. Sometimes I'll bring my sweater-wearing champion out there. Depends what the safest choice is for you at that time
7:08 Either you have wrong information or I'm not looking hard enough, because that cabin is empty. EDIT: It was both. It was in the cabin, just not in that exact spot.
6:22 What’s this music from?! I know it but I just can’t think of where it comes from!
@buzzcomber Super Mario Land for the gb! It's a wonderful soundtrack
@@FireGuts Thank you!! My brain just couldn’t connect it! It is a pretty good soundtrack too.
One time, I got the hammer.
This was such a fun game to explore and play. My favorite Zelda
@ryhol5417 it's totally due for a remake or something to make it more approachable
This was one of the hardest games on NES. It took me awhile to figure it out, but once I did it became easy. However the endings in these LJN horror games were terrible.
@@amess6232 cop-out endings are so unsatisfying!
Ft13th nes is probably my favorite nes game, i do two different runs of the game, the no fireplace torch run and the four fireplace torch run. Its easy now, but it was impossible for the first 20 years that i owned it lol. With a little luck i can do the no fireplace torch run in 9 mins and the four fireplace torch run in 12 mins, no turbo needed. Great game thats so misunderstood.
Owned this as a kid but never could beat it. Was very frustrating but still loved to play it. Will use your video to finally put that bastard in his place!! 😄
6:31 "You can take advantage of this by casting spells as it fills" 35 years of playing this game and I just learned this.
Thank you so much!
This game scared the shit out of me as a kid 😂😂😂😂😂
I got scared when Jason appeared every single time 😬
29:34 i always grab this link doll to treat it as a free magic refill (i let the Blue Knight kill me to restart on the left side of the room) to immediately cast fairy in the room below.
@@wentencel smart! Using a hair too much magic so you don't have enough for shield at the Thunderbird/Shadow Link stinks
AVGN be lackin for not finishing this game
The golden ace soubdtrack half way through threw me off lol
I mean hey, it's still swords and sorcery, right?
@@FireGuts exactly! Love it! And tbh it honestly gives me the same vibes. Thanks for making this video. Hopefully will make playing this game easier. But tbh I have the game & watch version where u can max out ur life & magic from the start so that helps alot too.
I just beat it today. When I was a kid, I hate that when I died I lost the xp I gained. Also... I vaguely recall going through the mountain maze... so I really didn't get very far in the game.
great guide
Man this is great, I was 14 when this came out in 1988 and I was able to beat it actually pretty easily BUT, it was the first game I played where the ending may as well have been like: “The End.. F off”. Another game like that was Wizards and Warriors which was a pretty damn cool game, quite difficult and the ending was another: “yeah you won, the end….Fk off…start over” 😂 I would give anything to go back to the 80s again and do it all over. Yeah tech today is insane and amazing but back then everything was so much more awesome, and new, and cool…the internet and social media ruined everything
Best guide on the internet! Thanks.
Thanks!
Firebomb. Not holy water
Haha sure if you like good ol' American censorship!
What MF DOOM track is this
I beat this when I was 8. In 1992. What's the problem
Pretty good advice but I very much disagree about running from the fokka. You’re likely to just take a bunch of unnecessary hits to the back, especially when there’s stairs to climb. They’re not even that difficult to kill. Just hit them with an up-thrust when they jump and focus on blocking when they’re grounded.
Most annoying music ever in a video game.i see why they u picked one of the best sound tracks in game history castlevania.
Funny enough, the little two-note "song" when Jason attacks scared the crap out of me as a kid.
Yep, this method works. Tracking Jason down can be difficult, but with enough patience and potions, it's not a big deal. I've beaten the game twice, once using something very similar to this technique (I didn't know about forcing Jason outside with councilors). Also, I've heard that only females can wear the sweater, but it looks like anyone can equip it. Now if only Tecmo Bowl were so easy to understand.
get good and don't die
FireGuts, I'm looking at some longplays of Castlevania and in some of them, yours included, there are a bunch of sprites that have a different color palette. The money bag, spear knights, axe knights, mummies, big birds, ecc are blue instead of purple. Why is that? Is a palette thing or a version thing?
20:49 "Just an artistic representation of the first Zelda game" woah. Mind blown! Zelda II takes place North of Death Mountain, which was the furthest North you could go before
Right?! I didn't know that either til I started putting the video together. But it 100% is
@@FireGuts And it looks like the passage to northern Hyrule is somewhere around the mazelike Lost Hills and the iconic waterfall. This just feels appropriate.
I had this in 2001…. On my first computer. Can’t believe I found it on UA-cam!
Remember. If Link dies, Ganon will return and Hyrule is doomed. Or just press continue.
