I have no clue. I just did their quests at nellis to be idolized, then cleared out black mountain, then some time later came back and randomly saw these kids walking away from the place. There were no other boomers here, only the kids so idk

Bungie did a much better job than this. That bright flash make it look like the phantom has magically disappeared instead of it appearing to be exploding.
The reason is because 343 didnt made a full Game. They tryed the service Game road like "the forest" where you Release a beta version for free and If people buy or donate enough money you keep on programing it. Thats why after 2 years Infinite is just barely finished and they scrap it already for the next halo failure. You can do that with new Games and new game mechanics but Not with Established brands and games. As far as i heard halo Infinite just barely made break even. Thats why Microsoft allows another halo game but they are absolutely unhappy with it revenue. Thats why the "10 years plan" is dismissed and halo Infinite will never get fully finished. Still missing split Screen, playable elites, the flood just to name a few that will never happen anymore even though it was planed or promissed. Halo is now 24 years old and is Bad since 2010 when 343 took over. More then half (14 years) this Franchise sucked. The Younger Generation doesnt even buy it because the lore IS messed Up , the graphics suck and the gameplay is okay but after halo 4 and 5 No one cares. The older Generation is stopping playing because they are in the age that you focus more in Family. All in all halo 7 will be the last Halo. Two failed Games, one barely break even because of cut campain and Bad graphics. No big fanbase anymore, because they litterly showed them the middle Finger and No Chance of hooking up the younger Generation. 343 really did a great Job to ruin a Franchise and Run it into the ground.

The worst part about this is that it isn’t necessarily the explosion that matters, but the indication of how much the devs were allowed to care that comes from its absence. You know deep down the devs wanted to do it right, but because of the unrealistic deadlines and the massive push from executives/investors for more polygons instead of actual detail, you get disappointments like this.
