Gosh I hope Dr. Beard reads my comment: Dr. Beard, i have throughout my life tried to argue to importance of the technology of language, but you've given me weaponry to argue against techno-feudalism. Thank you for knowledge in the form of entertainment, but thank you for also for allowing us to access so much more, cognitively.

This is a great lecture, there must be some kind of way to promote people on the internet to watch this. The point is, the answers are not more important than the questions themselves. Being led to the different possible answers is the key to arming ourselves with tools to navigate life and its complexities. Great lecture!

The problem is that the UK cannot negotiate a possibility of extending the 90/180 rule, because the EU is not able to grant such a thing, given the 90/180 day rule is Schengen rule and the 27 Schengen countries are not going to fundamentally change their immigration laws to stop the UK suffering from Brexit. I doubt any single government could run in elections on such a platform. The far-right would have a fit in each country. On top, the same with the EU not having the authority over immigration rules of the member states, that is the different rules in different countries is a permanently non-negotiable thing, given 27 countries are not going to unify their immigration policies to save the British from Brexit. Furthermore, the same with the carnets: It's an international law, not renegotiable by the EU. Brexit means Brexshit.
