Expedition to Shinkun West 6,127 mtrs peak I 2023 I Complete Guide I
This was an unsuccessful attempt to climb Shinkun West near Shinkula Pass which connects zanskar valley. The expedition was of total 4 days from Manali to Manali. The highest camp was at 5600 mtrs. Due to poor health condition and bad weather we couldn't summit this time. looking forward to complete this in near future. ( There is a difference of approx. 200 mtrs. in readings of altitude from wrist watch and actual GPRS data)

The expedition was eight days long. three members left 1st camp due to health issues. The expedition was originally planned for hanuman tibba peak 5962 mts, manali. Due to inclement weather had to return from camp 1 ,4400 mts . Is there any map to guide through the mountains? You went on your own. How did you find your way ?
There are maps with trekking trails marked. But those you need to find online or from himachal tourism guys. The place like kheer ganga are very common and the trails are well defined, so you can go on your own also. If you plan to go in season time then there are lots of other people also going so it won't be any issue to find path.

As camping is not allowed triund, so you can go through DFO for booking in forest rest house.

There won't be any shops open there. Carry your own food sleeping bag tent etc. Rest there would be enough snow 👍

We went alone as this was janamashtami and lots of locals go there . But if you are planning to go ask someone to accompany you as it's sometimes little tricky when u go up the indrahaar pass
