I'm not a biker but I figured your channel is a small channel and you need support so I left a like. Good job brother keep it up.
Thanks so much for the support, it really helps!
100% spot on couldn’t have said it better. I am in Perth klr 650 couple of years riding the hills areas. The pea gravel up there is freaking scary slippery stuff especially on slopes or hills. I found 15-20 psi best for me even with a combo of gravel sand and rocks. Have fun be cautious practice practice practice, get some decent tyres, start out on the easy stuff and work your way up. You will crash or drop your bike and learn from your mistakes and from others. It is not easy and will take all you have to get through it, this is not for the fait hearted or scared type. Only, Tough, challenging, adventure spirited people should apply.
Thanks for that! I have to agree (obviously 🤣). I have mountain biked for years up in the hills and that is no fun in the summer either. Enjoy the KLR - I am realising they are quite popular. I was a KX boy back in the day!!
Great video Jon , honest and genuine makes sense to all watching, hope to catch up with you next year.
Cheers - hope to see you out there next year then!
Hi Jon, loved your video. I was wondering what type of map system you were using ?.
Hi Brad. Thanks for watching! I have a Garmin Montana 700i which did have the GPX file loaded in it but I was actually using the iPhone more with the same GPX simply because it was clearer. For that I was using Gaia GPS as that is what I used when I first rode that trail with another guy a while back.
Thanks Jon , have a very merry Christmas and a great new year , hopefully I’ll see you out one day
Whereabouts is this trail at 11:30? I'm always looking for new places to ride. Cheers!
I’ll find the GPS coordinates or in turn I can send you the GPX file but the start and finish are private land. Good place to start is the Maranup Caravan Park on Maranup Ford Rd
Awesome video boys, can’t wait to do the same next year
Glad you enjoyed it!
We just fell in love with Bailingup. That road between Bailingup and Nannup is epic. I've yet to ride it on my bike but maybe soon. Nice to find another WA rider! I sub'd. Perhaps you can return the favour as I've only got about 70 subscribers! :)
Alas the only clubs I've found down here in Albany are "vintage" clubs. Anyone can join and ride but it's really boring. They just go from one cafe to the next on roads. I don't know of any adventure clubs down here so I just go out looking for tracks, by myself. I'm a novice but I'm learning! Really no option to ride with other people so I have to be more cautious than most I suppose.
That’s a shame. To be honest up until recently I always loaded the KTM 250 EXC in the trailer and took it to where we were riding. At least I can ride ‘to’ where I want to go! I expect I’ll be down that way soon (‘we’) Will be and maybe we can meet up.
Great video, thanks the tips and sharing 👍
Thanks! I hope the tips help you enjoy your adventures more!
Cool. Good size skillet.👍
It is perfect for a single person!
Great video. Nice bikes! Scenic ride with a beautiful campsite. Great drone footage nice to see the terrain from a different perspective. New to the channel. Thanks for sharing your travels.👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it, I hope you'll keep watching!
I’ve been out on one group ride (my first) and I did enjoy it even having a couple of ‘offs’ along the way. It’s easy to get caught up in the adrenaline and push harder but try and ride your own ride at your own pace. There will always be someone who is a better, more experienced rider. Ride safe👍
Absolutely - it's about having fun and taking it at your own pace. Enjoy!
Awesome video. Subscribed
Awesome, thank you!
Great video. Not many WA Adventure Bike videos on UA-cam.
@@GameWithRich cheers, I hope to change that!
There's a few. I'm one :)
I mean one, as in channel. I ride around the southwest.
@ subscribed immediately 😃
I also have local southwest content. Great to see some others out there creating. 👌
Not mozzarella , calcium and lactose you might wanna call it 😂😂😂😂 . Capsicum 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Furno now comes with ignighter.
I just use my ferro rod to ignite. Electric igniters break far too often to use for overnight hiking and just add to the complexity of the stove.
Did i heard it right? You can connect a cable release into the shutter button? If yes, does it works with black plastic shutter button? Thx
You can indeed, although I’m not sure about the later ones with the plastic shutter button sorry.
As an owner of a late ‘70s Trip 35, I can confirm the black plastic shutter button works with a remote shutter cable :-) I use the same shutter release cable for my Trip 35 and my OM20 SLR
@@thomasrichards8055 hey thank you :)
Great video ,I’ve been using my late Mum’s trip and have had varying results , will keep using it as it’s great fun .
Do a video on dehydrated meals
Crust is a bit thick, come to Brazil
You will like the Jetboil Summit Skillet & pot support, makes my Jetboil Flash a complete system for use during total fire bans.
I love a fire in the winter but yeah, you’re right! Good in the morning though for a coffee!
Thanks Jon. A nice video. I have a couple of questions, if that is OK. I will be going there on a motorcycle (royal enfield interceptor). Are the dirt roads ok for that ? Plus, is there any water at the camp sites (bore water would do). Thanks again for a great video.
Hi Michael and thanks for watching. Absolutely you can get there on, what sounds like a classic motorcyle! I mentioned in the video that it's a bit corrugated in some areas, but nothing bad, plus on a bike it's easier to avoid. There is no mains water but each camp site has a rainwater tank with a tap.
@@JonLloyd65. Thanks. I will check it out.
Upside down ? Good idea !, I’ve always used a cake tin inside of the Dutch oven ( normally used for bread rolls). Getting done by night fall is also a must as I’m normally in Botswana where the camps don’t have fences and the wildlife can be deadly.
Good looking pizza, amazing video!!!!!!! Come to brazil
Thanks! I would love to visit Brazil one day - A return to South America is on my list! (I've done Ecuador and Columbia).
great video!
Thanks! Glad you liked it... They will get better, so make sure to chack back!
AMAZINGGG VIDEO COME TO BRAZIL🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Maybe one day!
Hi Don't you by any chance have a part number for the rubber bonnet seals? Mine does not have them.
Many thanks. You have a adress for the gas struts ? I buy product but not good
The store on eBay is called “dmautoparts2009”
@@JonLloyd65 Thank you, I check it
Nice footage mate 👍👌 It's so pretty down there in winter/Spring.
Thanks for the vid champo 👍
nice work 👍🏻😁
Another sick video man, thought you were going to have this steps at 5,05 though 🤣
Looks like a heavy job and way past my skill level!
Good place to ride.
Cheers Mister......
Nice video, what range are you getting out of the battery?
nice video, what range are you getting out if the battery?
And how do u get to 1:31
How do you get to recreation entrance
New to MTB (at 72) and had plenty of get offs! This looks like the place to practice (only 20 minutes away). nice seeing the "out takes" at the end because that would be me!
Can we flying at night now.
Interesting video...cool that you can fit it inside your forester! What's it like pedaling it with the power off...is there much resistance besides the weight? .
I have ridden it a number of times whilst out with the power off. It’s heavy but you would get home no problem. No resistance to speak of - just hauling 23.5kg!!
TALLNDIRTY Oh and in the back of the Forester it needs the front wheel out! I normally have it on a rack.
Great video....how is your Trance holding up so far? Any equipment failures? I am eagerly awaiting mine ...5 more weeks till Giant Canada sends mine to my local bike shop
Well ... Trance number 2 is going ok! I had motor cut-out issues with the first one and my LBS just had enough and replaced the whole bike. With the first one - right out of the box the bike would not connect to the App soo they had to change the controller on the bars. When they replaced the bike the new did exactly the same. They had to changethe controller again! Other than that it is going fine although I fell off it about 4 weeks ago and smashed my hand and I haven’t ridden it since!
I descend faster than that, walking barefoot hahaha
ha! yeah well, it was in slow motion and I am getting old now!
Nice Bike, im getting mine this week. Im curious how its gonna perform :-)
Nice video! Can you put 3.0 plus tire or 29 inc wheelset?
do it!!
I would love to hear a in depth review. I have ordered this bike and there isn't much real world reviews on it
Thanks for the feedback. I think I will do a more formal review soon. Keep an eye out for it!
