Today we have something a bit different, but it’s awesome and we’re excited to share it. Jay sits down with longtime friend Brian Yarbrough and together they discuss some questions people have submitted. Jay discusses his time in New York at the premier of the Tammy Faye Musical, and all of the people he met along the way. The people that influenced him, and that were influenced by his mom. It ...

Didn't get to comment on the live, as my fingers were away from the phone but I would like to say that I appreciate the way you think. Being involved in the church for decades & basically the same age as you, I am glad for your streams because they make me feel not so insane eg politics and Palestine. Church is hard right now but easier with folks like you. Thank you.
What Bible will you be teaching out of?
You are OK Jay
Happy Birthday Jay!
Happy New Year, Jay. Your attitude and love is contagious.
Happy New Year. 🎉 Thanks to Josh for all the hard work.
Happy New Year, Jay!!
Merry Krampus
Love you too jay
Hey, do a New Year’s Eve message, please
Merry Christmas jay happy new year
Merry Christmas Jay! I’m sorry I missed it. I keep having emergencies when you’re on.🤦🏻♀️ I’m glad you talked to your dad 😊
Hugs ❤❤❤
Thanks for the heads up. You and the family have a great holiday season!
Just curious, do you ever talk about God or the Bible on your podcasts?
I'm so glad I found this video. My husband and I have been so distraught and disappointed since the election. We're afraid "they" will try to dissolve our marriage. But, we know Jesus loves us. We trust in Him. I'm thankful for the few out there like you who are fighting for us. We've got to stand together. Your father is missing out but maybe one day his eyes and heart will be opened. God bless you. Thank you. I'm sending you love! Somehow we're going to get through this. I pray our democracy and Constitution survive as well.
Hi Jay, Kinda weird what happened to Jerry Falwells son. Maybe the seed Jerry sowed towards the Bakkers finally came up. Love ya !!
Beautiful. Excellent. Correct.
Great sermon as always, and lovely to hear the live reactions. I hope this happens more often. Maybe Chicago?? 😊
@21:55
Damn bro, I get that "you aren't a Christian" thing from church people all the time for being a Gnostic Christian. Which they don't think is a "real" Christian. So I feel you on that point for sure.
Politics blinds us to the truth of the Kingdom within. Politics was the reason "the church" was established and remains the reason why it continues to exist. The filthy rags of this material existence.
I admire and am inspired. we have always lived in a resistance or I have.
Gutted to her Tammy Faye the musical is already closing on broadway...
Very meaningful message, thank you Jay 😊
sorry for your loss, there's always time to grab a tent and join us politically homeless under the convention center off-ramp.
The "after talk" key is so important for times that easily could become a regular habit of protest and action. Thank you for bringing that up.
"Lets not be a people who end up with only hate" is resounding in my heart, brother. Thank you for all of this, and especially the call into grace.
I appreciate your attitude.
so im a republican and i would like to first say thank you. this is the most reasonable guy ive heard in a very long time, whether left or right. if i might ask a few questions in good faith, please know i am being sincere (hoping this mans audience is as reasonable as him). so how are we defining genocide in terms of hamas? does everyone understand that during trumps first term, 0 new wars were waged, in the world? it was only when biden got in office that major conflicxts kicked off. not only that, but after trump won this presidency, rhe very next day iran cut funding to hamas and a ceasefire was called between palestine and israel. now if a genocide was taking place, 2 things couldnt be true. 1- israel would simply continue this genocide and 2- the palestinian population wouldnt have doubled over the past decade. i knoiw i didnt ask many questions, and im sorry if my tone came off as hostile. but heres the thing. i was a democrat my whole life, and to be clear ive never voted for a single republican. not one, ever. but i can only be told 100 things are absolutely positively without a doubt are true (all of which seem to be personal attacks) and none of which turn out to be true so many times.
Consider the perverse nature of Americans who profess a belief in Christ and His teachings, yet turn their back on His words of Peace and Love in order to simp for the perpetrators of His killing, done for those very teachings and an arrogant belief that humans hold authority over His Commandments. Those perpetrators spit on the very Christians they demand sustenance from in order to carry out genocide to satiate vengeance and command the Earth as they believe God has granted them the powers to do so; those people who oppose the very concept of Christ's existence now command the souls of His children to bend to their will, and will drag them to Hell in their fury and double speak.
Ive been scared for years. The truth will be revealed. AMERICA HAS SPOKEN. our CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC WILL PREVAIL. GOD BLESS!
Lol and the uk is mocking you for picking a convicted rapist.
Tu palabras me recuerdan una canción de Leeland: "Brighter Days". Si que ánimate, se valiente y muchas gracias por tu gran trabajo.
Thank you for your continued work of bringing people together.
I remember that day it was very sad. I felt sorry for your mom and dad.
Thank you for your extremely important and relevant work, Jay. Love you.

I watched this earlier but came back to leave a message of thanks. I am in Australia and I'm feeling really discouraged and oppressed by the election stuff that I am seeing. I am feeling sick in the stomach over the affective manipulation that is used, and the feeling of powelessness it's inducing; and I'm not even an American, so I can only imagine how a lot of you are feeling over there! I have to say that I am glad that you talked about whatever the outcome, that you would still be doing what you do. What you said has been in my head all today, because really, that is imperative no matter who is in power - To advocate for the marginalised and less fortunate in our community, welcome the stranger, and definitely make a difference in our immediate reach. Remember and live out Micah 6:8b. It has been overwhelming lately, but thanks for reminding me & helping me dig back up my focus of "not become [ing] wary of doing good" personally. This we can do whilst keeping the Government accountable, as we keep starting our little spotfires of rightness wherever we can, despite what those in Parliament do or don't do. (Personally I prefer the Funkadelic kinda Parliament - One nation under a groove type policy 😁) Anyway I'm glad I caught your stream & thankyou for the peace molotov cocktail. 💙
I've been trying to think of an anti-election "sermon" to post on my substack so this is good inspiration. Just how poisonous politics and elections are for spiritual growth and inner peace. I voted by mail weeks ago and refuse to bring this into my spiritual life the way "the church" wants people to do. I'll be spending "election night" reading the nag hammadi scriptures, taking communion and mushroom sacraments and paying no mind at all to the outcome because it doesn't matter. The material realm we live in is inherently flawed, created by the blind and flawed creator "god". The fragment of The One that lives within us and outside of this material realm has no need for any of this.
Thanks from Linda and Chuck! We appreciate your encouragement and words of wisdom during these crazy days! Love ya!
This was a good talk and so very true.
Thank you. I’m certainly am on the edge of
Thank you for this!! This is such good stuff. ❤❤ Also - omg same abt asking my mom when I was 20 - if I tell a lie and get hit by a car and die before I repent would I go to hell? And she said well, yeah - I guess so, Sallie. 🤦🏻♀️ talk about a precarious position!
Will be praying for you, Jay to feel better some more jobs to come your way
It is weird when people who are not evangelicals, like atheists, always assume Christianity is a monolith. As a Gnostic Christian I do not believe in resurrection, supernaturalism, virgin births, inerrancy or infallibility of scripture (even the scripture I read which was banned by the church I do not believe it is inerrant or infallible). Pre-church Christianity, the first 200 years of Christianity was very diverse. There is much more than "conservative or progressive" Christianity. There were no pastors or church authorities. In fact when these people met together they cast lots to select who would lead study and the sacrament and everyone in the group had an equal chance of being selected. If you haven't read Elaine Pagels classic "The Gnostic Gospels" it's a great overview of early Christianity. The church's entire purpose was to create and maintain political power and create a political body rather than continue the spiritual path taught by Yeshua the Jewish mystic.
WOW ! Hace aproximadamente 2 meses leí "El hombre en busca de sentido" realmente este libro me impactó mucho en la forma que el escritor hace uso de sus horribles experiencias, conviértodolo en algún bien.
Thanks for these. So much to learn.
Glad to hear it!❤
Thanks for this! Divine Magician sounds really intriguing.
Thanks so much for your recommendations, Jay! Guess what I’ll be doing in my free time! 😀
