Noticed that this cards gets pretty hot then decided to change thermal pads and thermal grease on it. It lowered temperatures from 84c to 72c.

Bro, an i7 14700k, with Aorus gaming z7990 gaming x7 wifi, can I overclock like this? I have BCLK options in the BIOS, but when I modify something my PC does not turn on, and I have to reset the BIOS cmos.

@@qurat9788 Everything is fixed with latest bios update.Performance boost is pretty noticeable because 12400f boosts 4000mhz all core and 14600kf boosts 5.3.If you didnt bought it yet ryzen is also a good option.

I believe that you can't OC on Rog b760-g because it doesn't support overclock the one board that supports is PG riptide b760 ddr5. On newer BIOS version I am also not able to overclock my 12400f on my b660g, that's why I don't update my bios.Asus disabled bclk oc feature on newer version. You can also buy 13600kf and have a good performance I would suggest that option.

I tried to push above 5ghz but it crashed, maybe it would go with 1.4v.
It's possible, but you should use liquid cooling system for this, and performance between 4.8 and 5.2 not so different. 4.8-5.0 GHz is the optimal frequency for i5-12400 and also you can use cheap tower fan for cooling.
