Simon Langlois works as a sideman with musicians of every style. He is a real drumming chameleon : one night he can be playing with an acoustic jazz trio and the day after he will be recording for a pop artist or trashing and sweating with a heavy metal band. He has also toured around the world with jazz fusion bass player Alain Caron since the age of 23. Simon is known for his incredible passion for, and dedication to, his instrument. Some people call him the "drum doctor" because of his ability to take any drummer's weakness and transform it into a stength. His drumming is all about power, feel and pocket playing.

I just bought Ayotte Pro drumset partly because of this clip. And it sounds extremely good. Here the drums sound themselves and playing is top-notch!

Back in highschool, entire classes would be called at the school's agora and as soon as we arrived and sat there, we realised that the only thing in there was a Drum. Soon after, we saw Simon arriving and then all we had to do was listening and watching that guys playing drums for a hole half an hour... Damn I miss that time !!

J'ai vu quelques vidéo avec Alain Caron, tab***** incroyable...en passant, font tu encore des Drums Ayotte ? n'entend pu parler ben ben..... tu devrais checker pour un Yamaha recording custom ou un Yamaha Pheonix... je pense que tu capoterais pour le son que ça a ces petites bêtes là, tk continue ton bon travail , lâche pas l'homme ! ! !

What shell material are you using (maple i assume)? And did they come with wood hoops? i'm looking into Ayotte because of this kit, pretty much my ideal sound
yes maple !! They come with wood hoop but you'll get WAY less projection and power

Muffling! I had an Ayotte kit and without muffling, I got that basketball-bounce sound.
