Just let u in on a little secret about your beliefs in pastor Bond and his people. I lived with them 2 yrs during the time this was recorded. And know many of them. They lie to him. Do meth heroin or booze in his houses. When caught they apologize and pastor makes them come to church instead of kicking them out. They use him for drug and alcohol money. Refuse sometimes to pay rent. Only 50 a week. And even a very cool office staff, who I will not name in case she's running shit now, of his was a regular meth user. I found out when she showed up at a trap house, and was high. And said don't say anything to pastor about it. A office worker at a Christan recovery program regularly using meth . Hilarious. These people don't care about Bond. Maybe a few really do, the believers of his god. But the majority didn't care at all when this was recorded. I was there. I hope they still are not using this man. I think he's sincerely tried helping people. But there's no god in his program. And there's no way someone who is drug testing me, should be a tweeker. It's beyond hilarious. Funny how they would get high then tell on each other. Pastor would encourage snitching. One guy would want meth, find it, then tell pastor who gave it to them. And pastor would congratulate them for honesty. You have no clue from that comment u just made about how Fd up this program and the people in it were. I doubt much has changed if OKC compassion is still in operation. Especially if the tweaker in office is totally in charge. Pastor was 70 something back in 16 His mission will be carried on by a tweaking ass leader maybe. But likely it's not around anymore. Maybe I'll call and see, move back in and stay high for 200 bucks a month rent lol😂 But the year this video was made. Pastor Bonds houses were basically trap houses. A person could continually F up, and as long as they cried forgiveness to pastor and told where they got the dope. They still had a bed. A total crock of shit 😂

That’s what Pastor Orr is saying, Gods love gives you the power to overcome things. In this case Pastor is speaking to a group of homeless individuals who suffer from substance abuse.

It’s all about context friend. Pastor Orr was delivering a message to a group of people at a recovery program. Most of the residents have addiction issues. Pastor is saying that these people can break the chains of addiction through faith. We all sin everyday, but those who are substance abusers have a particularly difficult time. These individuals need the encouragement and blessed hope that our King on high can and will save them. Friend, it’s a modern miracle when you see someone who has spent 20 years running the street doing wrong, to see them accept Christ and truly convert. I’ve seen lifelong addicts accept Christ and walk away from the drugs immediately, to see someone turn from a wretched shell to a fully functioning human is a beautiful miracle. It depends on one’s own compass of understanding. When we write today we include euphemisms, satire, jokes, and we write from our current understanding of the world. One who studies the Bible in earnest realizes that the authors of the Bible were no different. If a meteor explodes over a city today we understand it as a natural cosmic phenomenon. Thousands of years ago if you lived in Sodom or Gamorah and a meteor exploded over your city with no knowledge of space what would you think happened? You’d probably think it supernatural, when in reality it had been hurtling towards earth for millennia. If I say “I haven’t seen you in a minute “ would be the same as “I haven’t seen you in 40 days and 40 nights. It is true that the Bible was written akin to a 6000 year game of “telephone “. But yet the wisdom and knowledge of our forefathers contained within is priceless. I’m not trying to defend a point, I’m saying there are different ways of looking at things. When the Bible says pluck out your eye or chop off your hand if it offends thee, most normal folk understand that physically doing this would be insane. Rather the message is to eliminate things in life that cause you to stumble, not self mutilation. Maybe Jesus was God incarnate, maybe he was a schizophrenic with delusions of grandeur, whatever you believe the message of Christ can be inspiring if you let it be.
