Bioactive Naturalistc Crested Gecko Tank
Thank you. The video was great.
I thought that the peace lily plant was toxic
do more
Do you use any hydrogen peroxide solution to wash your plants before putting them inside your vivariums?
Gorgeous gecko. I love that green tint
That's six months?! Man, MIne must be defective. It's TINY
If I’m putting them in the freezer, am I right in saying I’d need to defrost them before use?
You can grow elephant ears in most all of the US outside in your garden. The leaves become ridiculously huge outside. They have massive bulbs and grow back every year, for years
Great information. Cheers plant bro.
You have to add water to the blender

Great video thanks for the info just made a bio active enclosure and now I need plants
I put veggie scraps
I am planning to put some monstera in my gecko enclosure. Though i read they are toxic. I know these arboreal geckos don't typically eat plants, but I found inconsistent sources online as to whether it is topically toxic. I have a concern of my gecko getting poisoned from eating his shed that has touched the toxic plants. I would appreciate it if you could share some insights.
Just don’t lmao
could i use this 4 my parrotts not sure if birds can eat jellatin , also how long do they last in the freezer
I just got yellow zebras I have these ones to so much fun to watch super active and not really shy
I'm trying to do a bioactive enclosure. Need something that grows tall and strong!
Me too
Probably a stupid question, how long do they take to thaw before using them? Or can you pop them in frozen?
Great video very helpful. Awesome plants and gecko btw!
Thanks. very educational
But how fast or slow do they reproduce .. I don't see any increase in population at all tbh
It takes a little longer for those with reproduction that require several breeding approaches… I try to breed them, but I buy more approaches to have bigger colonies. I then try to maintain the temperature and humidity that they need so that they feel comfortable and multiply😅
My mom won’t let me put fish flakes in her ninja blender so what do I do?
I'm no longer active on this account but will upload videos on Salt City Reptile Ranch. You can simply sprinkle the fish flakes on the "jelly" after you put it in whatever mold you plan on using
Thanks 🙏 I will try it out because you made a lot so they must like it
Great video man👍 Did something similar recipe. Just wondered, like on average,, how long does one cube last for a small collony(about 50-100 crickets)
This man every 3 seconds: “my girlfriend...”
Great video 😁
hey nick its josh
Hey bud. How are you and the fam holding up?
What was the amount of fish flakes and oats used?
I dont remember entirely. It was a cup of oats and I think 1/2 cup of fish flakes.
@@geminiexotics5545 Awesome! Thank you!
I was just about to ask this, lol
I would play around with it. It was somewhere between a 3/4 cup and 1/4 cup. Some bugs like porcellio scaber isopds like more where as Dubai roaches requires less as it can cause high amounts of uric acid in the feeder roach/bug
Thanks man 😁
I made this forever ago! I appreciate the support. I'll be doing more as I collect more species. Next up is A. klugii Montenegro
Gemini Exotics awesome, I’m looking forward to it 😉

Great video. I'll be setting up my first bio tank this week! I'll be using these tips. Thanks.
What's going to be going in it?
@@geminiexotics5545 The first one will be dart frogs. And a couple tanks later, geckos.
@@SupremeGecko that'll be cool. Of you need any help just reach out. Bio vivs are lots of fun
@@geminiexotics5545 Will do. Thank you so much,
Great video!
I appreciate it! I should be uploading more regularly focusing more on education than "pettubing"
So with a bioactive setup it's impossible for isopods ect to invade your house? I'm sceptical lol oh and nice reptile room👌
I wouldn't say its impossible but they need moisture ( i dont have puddles of water out and about) relatively warm temperature (house is kept at 65F 18C) and the big thing is that they eat detritus or dying matter, plants and poop. Up here in New York they tend to die. I've had cultures crash by drying out and by getting too cold.
I've had a few escape but they ended up dying due to the cold/no water/moisture
@@geminiexotics5545 Wicked thanks for getting back to me I've never researched them extensively didn't like the thought of an escape but now I know I'll look into it thanks!
If you have any more questions send me a PM or comment on one of my videos. Happy to help out!
Does this count for the liquids too? Just throw the cube in and that is it?
It replaces it yes. All the nutritional needs in it including hydration. You can also mix it up that's just what I added at the time.
@@geminiexotics5545 Thank you very much for the video, it's look very good.
@@lunarminx I had fun making it. I now use this to make tegu food. Just replaced gelatin for ground turkey
Why do you keep Athena and Stitch separated?
I had them together, but stitch bit Athena so I had to separate them. She left a scar and I didnt want to see it get worse.
i love your crested gekos the most its josh
You guys are awesome! Hows the crestie doing? And have you gotten any new reptiles since I last saw you?
hi nick its josh i love your vids so good i love the vidos of unboxing there so good
Great topic. Good topic and I thought you handled it very well. Some reptiles, when they go into brumation, actually do not need to feed at all. If they eat the food will rot in their guts because of the cooler temps.
That is good to know with my tegu and the beardies I've always offered food, however I dont lower the temperature inside the cage. Hades still has a basking spot of 120°F yet hes only active for like 6 hours of the day.
Nice set ups. Beautiful critters!
Thank you so much! I'm working on more stuff once I move. Trying more to focus on education.
Great video. These millipedes are so cool. Funny, I don't think anyone calls them 5.5, everyone calls them 5 :)
I've kept pedes before, but due to shipping issues they got too cold and didnt last too long. These guys are huge compared to the smaller Trigoniulus corallinus
@@geminiexotics5545 These look great. Did you have them shipped in then?
Kinda... I'm a pet manager at a family owned "pet store" I ordered them for myself lol
@@geminiexotics5545 What a great perspective :)
