Love how hes smiling whilst he talks about zeppelin it really triggers the yank zeppelin fans what he said is completely justified and makes sense
Daddy never sleeps at night
Rumor has it that Entwhistle hasn't moved since 76.
Superb
Super blues 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I'm guessing Townshend is imitating Chuck Berry.
A reason why Entwistle, Geddy, McCartney, and JPJ are remembered.
That Rhythm Section, Enough Said!!!!
Same wardrobe for all 4 in Ft. Worth on March 16, ‘76. They played this there as well.
Didn’t Moon have a beard in ‘76?
I think you’re right. This is actually 1975.
This, and others I've seen, tell me that Pete Townsend is THE best interviewee, ever. No spin, no complications. He makes it understandable, relatable, believable and forthright.
The Who - Road Runner (Live at The Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, United States on December 6, 1975)
Largest paid concert ever until led zepplin appeared there a few months later
When you know you know. There’s the Who , and then there’s everyone else.
Meep meep? more like… PETE, PETE!
this looks like 1975 at Pontiac's Silverdome stadium
I am 47 The Dead is a bottle of old good red wine Pink Floyd is still the next to come…maybe Mars Zappa was on your face…wake up dude or my guitar will destroy you Led Zeppelin was Sex, Sweat and Riffs The Who just gave the people eathquakes and freedom for a couple of hours
That is damn well said.
In their prime... the best.... period
Thank you for this from these brilliant, beautiful musicos! P.s. Who was the guy in the photo?
So if this is dec 6 75 Keith only had 33 months to go maybe that room was cursed
this makes zero sense
Cleveland or Pontiac 1975
Listen to this and then Bill Woman's Come back Suzanne.. It makes me wonder if Bill and Pete were commiserating 2gether..
I think we all AGREE....they DON"T Make MUSIC and they DON"T Make Bands like this ANYMORE! I can't even find what I can call music in 2022 without a DEADLY SERIOUS SEARCH and only after much disappointment, I may find something...OK. But these guys were MASTERS!
I couldn't have said it better
And they had more fun back then.
the best
Ever
Nowadays... musicians are boring because they take themselves too seriously... They can't do a good funny song like this one.
I was expecting the video to be pornographic, based on the subject matter of the song 🤣💀
The song is about a accordion
Watch and learn Zeppelin. Live firepower you could only dream of matching.
Wrong year. December 6, 1975. Pontiac Metropolitan Stadium (Silverdome). I was there standing right in front of John Entwistle.
@Larry McLeod • Are your ears OK, mate...?
@@sirandrelefaedelinoge when the ringing stopped after 2 or 3 days I was fine.
Year is wrong. . It’s 75’ I was there . They didn’t play Pontiac again till 79’
@@huberthits1812speaking of YOURSELF I see
I want to wake up my mom and dance!
The epitome of a FUN song!
Aww so young and so much energy 🙂
Great video chap. Nicely done.
Brilliant...!!!
Who made this?
god
John Entwistle.
@@ronzahler860 very funny...yawn...
This performance of “Roadrunner” -as part of the longer “My Generation” medley -is from The Who’s concert at Pontiac Stadium (Pontiac, Michigan) on December 6, 1975.
THE WHO , SUPER GENIUSES ( sorry Willie Coyote ! )
Best version of roadrunner they did. I like this riff by Pete
Pete always said he wrote songs that reflects the audience and I think that's amazing.
Who... does #2 work for?
El vídeo es una maravilla 👏🏼👏🏼
Is this the tour that Lynyrd Skynyrd was the opening acr?If so,between the two bands that is some incredible live talent.
Toots and the Maytals were the opening act on this tour. Lynyrd Skynyrd supported The Who on the Fall Out Shelter Tour of 1973.
At this concert, Toots and the Maytals got boo’d off the stage.
hope i die before i get old....im 61...
Sometimes a rock band has one of the four main elements, but rarely does a band have all four: a super-talented and musical genius lead guitarist, a steady-as-a-rock bassist, a master drummer, and a lead singer who dominates the stage. The Who had all four, and they had them first. You can't say that about the Beatles, Stones, AC/DC, Aerosmith or any other group since the Who. They are the complete rock band.
Zeppelin
@Luis Hern@ndez Rush, but they came about later. Three musicians that were at the top of their game. RIP Neil Peart
@Luis Hern@ndez Zep didn't outdo The Who. They sucked live.
@Luis Hern@ndez Zep were boring as hell live. Plodding tedious and drawn out sloppy performances. They never came close to The Who as a live act.
The bassist was the best musician of the bunch.
I'm sure John would've loved this! Thank you so much for posting. ♥
