Unos de los GRANDES DEL FOLKLORE

Por los 70 estudiaba guitarra y sacaba "de oido" los temas de este gran folklorista, lamentaba no poder conseguir las partituras (en pentagrama) de sus canciones, hasta albergaba esperanza de algun dia poder comunicarme con don Carlos y pedirselas...( romanza cautiva, la leyenda del palmar, chasque para la costa etc) empezé a seguir su obra desde que quede impactado con "Canto Monumento'".

Mi hidolo de mis recuerdos .sin palabra .yrecordarte por siempre .😢...

J'ai découvert récemment cet artiste grâce à un de ses albums instrumental,je savais pas qu'il chantait aussi. Sa manière de chanter est très étrange : on dirait Captain Beefheart mais avec la voix de Tim Buckley 🤔

This record is such a joy to hear! A follow on to 1992’s ‘Warm and Cool’…I played that one into crystallized intelligence that year along with Sugar’s ‘Copper Blue’. On 6 Dec ‘92 I caught Television live for a show. We miss you, Tom. (Hearing/watching all 10 minutes of ‘Marquee Moon’ done live in concert STILL moves me).

I love this album so much. Every song is so original, full of emotion.. The guitar is immaculate... I'm just so happy I found Robbie's music. In my opinion, he's one of the most talented and unique artists ever.

You made such a difference, Tom. RIP...I will never forget the way you looked at me that night in Chicago. It felt like we were the only two people in the room.

At 30 he had a replacement testicle grafted on that was donated by my other boyfriend. Which boyfriend should I marry? Should I sell my dead husband's bowling trophies on Craig's List? I want to sell them because they caused his death. He was putting on his bowling socks when 2 of the heavier trophies fell from a high shelf in the trophy room and killed him 1 year after he said: “Pola, don't ever love yourself at Burger King no matter what happens later on because they got lots of surveillance cameras everywhere!”

I am #onhere bc I sense true devotion on this page. I am a fan since 77 and have scanned the news for any cause of death, which I've given up finding, but also any burial or memorial arrangements. I saw them the first time they played at CBGBs, they were great.

I am 74 years old. Since his first album with Television in 1977 I admire him as a musician. Regretfully I only saw him once perform life in 1982 in Holland. Requiescat in pace, Tom. Your music will live for ever!

Television were my favourite group but somehow I never got around to listening to this before. It’s beautiful. Reminds me a little of the Durutti Column.

My brother is a volunteer DJ in St. Louis at KDHX radio, 88.1fm. He introduced me to Tom Verlaine's artistry on his Wednesday drive time program "Feel Like Going Home". Verlaine's music has an ethereal, timeless, "genre-less" quality (in my opinion). What a beautiful legacy
