One disadvantage I find with the machine is that the recoil lowers the nozzle, I use a tripod and place it directly under the nozzle to keep it from. Dropping. Other than that, it is a great machine in terms of portability specially when you are practicing solo

Looks like every pitch is a rainbow instead of a direct path. I don't like this for batting practice. The big advantage wheel base machine have is the consistency of wheels spinning. You can also simulate, way more pitches on wheel based machines for 12U and up when curve balls are thrown in to the mix. For field training though this would be really nice. Pop fly and ground balls so easy to do with this.
