Melvins at the Kennel Club In San Francisco back in '93. The video ends abruptly because the filmer decided to stop taping so this is as complete as it gets. Great show though. Dave Sahijdak on bass.

Live @ The Grooveyard, Atlanta, GA 12/18/93
I think that's me talking way too loud in the background about halfway through, 31 years ago.
Brah! Old Nashville bands were the sh! t. Rusty memories!?!
I remember theae guys from the time their best drummer was living our basement. Why dont they play their best songs?
But no "what the fuck is wrong with my brain"...?
i used to be pissed that my girlfriend fucked the drummer but now 40 yrs later it's like a badge of honor. and yes we are still together
is that from the armory in Huntsville?
kingkong drumkit LMAO
Amazing band with so many amazing performances. We should all be bowing down to their masterful crafting of songwriting.
I’m still amazed that it took me so long to realize Mike’s madness/genius! But I’ve tried to make up for it as often as possible. And incredible video captures like this reaffirm my love for this band!
The Greatest Band to "Ever" Perform in Nashville, Tennessee.... Forever Ungratical Corinaric Technikilation 🏆
That era it was a tie between weirdo and behead myself as my favorite! To be fair, everything Five Eight did/does is awesome!!
❤
Could you please upload the B-Side 'Summertime'? - Many thanks!
This was the year I was hearing you on WRAS.
I miss you Mike! -Dave Ward
my grandfather used to listen to their music, so nostalgic.
I love this Song
I was a UGA grad student when these guys were rockin Athens. Now they're playing my hometown in two weeks. Unreal, love them!
Love from Nova Scotia Canada. Amazing
My favorite college band....thank you for posting.
If there are other bands like Barkmarket, respond to my message and I will check them out.
D. Sardy went on to have a pretty damn good career in producing and other music. Check his Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Sardy
Five eight rocks
I was at the show. Best live show that I’ve ever seen.
My band opened for them in Memphis around this time. Good guys great band.
She is fuckin adorable omg 😍😍😍😍
Awesome. This band was my soundtrack to the 90s. Thanks,
Wow, haven't heard this for over 30 years and i'm glad you shared this, thanks for uploading this video, and i just found the reocrd in ebay and bought it right away!!

Still gives me chills every time I hear it
Encore aujourd'hui l'un des meilleurs groupes de rock !!
Who's the bass player? Mark D? (I don't recognise him without his cowboy hat.)
Okay, I just read the video's description. Thanks @Pharrl72
sounds like a noir cabaret in the best of possible ways...
this is such a good recording. tytyty
Saw them supporting The Pixies in 1990 (I think, possibly '91). Completely destroyed The Pixies in every way possible. I'd never heard of them before but the very next day I went out and bought '1-800-Godhouse', which IMHO is them at their best.
I love the vain mood of the song, which greatly underlines the desperate screams towards the end
I just uploaded my full soundcheck and show here ua-cam.com/video/IWiaRscQzv8/v-deo.html
I saw this band by chance at the Highlander in Atlanta in the mid 90's. It was just supposed to be another night. I had no idea that I was in for an amazing display of sight and sound...a ride that I was not prepared to take. The venue was small but the sound was quadrophonic and crystal clear to me. I got lost in it all at one point... and the whisky, oh the whisky. To say I was blown away is an understatement! The next day I felt that the world was somehow a better place knowing that another unexpected surprise like this one could be just around the corner. I've waited a long time to see these guys again. Thanks for the post.
I saw them at this same venue ... but I think it was the next tour.... 95? 96? Anyway- thanks for posting this!
The bass sounds amazing
love how the played godflesh-pulp before the first song.
Godflesh and the Melvins in one show? That would be heaven for me.

Thx so much for this upload. Precious. I didn't attend the Emo gig, but I did see Ed Hall live in Basel Switzerland at the "Kaserne". Best gig I've EVER attended.Still, watching the Emo gig brings back such intense memories. How the gradual, rhythmical descent to chaos sneaks up on you! People like me realised at a certain point during the gig they had been lowered deep into what can only be described as a vat of audio goo. I only finally emerged from the goo once I realised that the drummer had collapsed and fallen off the back of the stage, whilst the guitarist lay motionless on the ground with the bass player lying on top of him. To his credit and for a good ten minutes, the bass player had this riff going on repeat... I think to audience comprised 5, maybe 10 people. I bought all four of the CDs on sale in one go. Happy days!!!
greatest band far too many people don't know.
Great video. I lived in Athens in their hey-day and they played some amazing shows. I saw one of their early shows - a free show at the Tate Center. I remember I worked at a call center with Mike and chatted with him a few times. He worked in outbound selling magazines or something. Everyone was scratching their head why they didn't get some huge record deal; it just wasn't their style. I also remember one of their shows I saw in 95 or so. They didn't play a single one of their hits and the crowd got really po'd; then they broke into cover songs; and most of the crowd left. Man, I've probably seen this band 15 times.
Thanks, so much, for sharing this.
thanks for posting! saw them 3 times in Belgium/Holland...mid 90's...original shit man.
Whoever gave that a thumbs down is a fucking twit ..
And Nowlin is God
One of the best but unfortunately totally unheard of rock bass players
Saw them on the L Ron tour in Atlanta ! I preferred gimmick , which was this tour. Such a treat! Thx for posting.
