Froggie went a courting
Переглядів 1059 років тому
Record numbers of frogs and spawn in the Nature Area in Jesmond Dene. These males (you can tell by the pale throat) are advertising themselves to the local females. Huge thanks to the volunteers who made this possible, all that hard work is paying off.
Otter fishing in the Ouseburn
Переглядів 1,6 тис.9 років тому
I couldn't believe my luck when i spotted this otter as i was coming into work through Jesmond dene. It spent half an hour fishing in front of me so i grabbed a camera and got a few shaky shots while trying to hide behind the fence. i'm sure it knew i was there. I suspect it's a female that tolerated my presence (and that of people, dogs and bikes passing by) because she was peckish after a nig...

Fox cubs on the way

follow the story at ua-cam.com/play/PLCKrgDEy5bYAzaPp8r4FKyXevMTbgY8vd.html Cubs will soon be emerging from a fox lair i've been watching. The vixen is now bringing solid food back to the den, indicating it won't be long before the cubs venture above ground, at 3-4 weeks old. The male (dog) fox, seen here calling into the lair, stays in a different den to the cubs but visits regularly, bringing...

Water Rail in Jesmond Dene

First ever film of a Water Rail in Jesmond Dene! I was really lucky to see this (only 4th ever record in the Dene) and even luckier to catch some nice feeding behaviour on film.

It’s like Farthing Wood
I could have watched this for HOURS, it’s so amazing! But the mother in every species has such a heavy load to bear, evidenced by all of those kits nursing....my goodness, their sharp little teeth must hurt, lol! I just love fox kits, with their tiny, perfectly round black noses and the little white snips on the tips of their tails! And their mother is so beautiful, especially her face. Thanks!

A Very Adorable Family Of Red Fox Cubs & A Red Fox Mother Vixen.

Chunky kits
Amazing. Still can't believe you saw an otter in the Ouseburn! One day.
where nation is this? it's adorable foxes.
Baby foxes are called kit's, NOT cubs!
They are called both - it depends where you are from. In the USA, I think they are generally called kits. In the UK, where this video is shot, and where I live, most people call them cubs, hardly anyone calls them kits.
Bruu one of them r saying ME WANT THE MILKY NO ME ITS MINE
The mom needs some food . Not easy feed so many
want to strangle them!!
Nice den! And litter!
Vixens usually have cubs in the spring
ITS fox kits
Adorable
Very nice video. Greetings from a birdwatcher from Norway.

Where was this filmed? What variety of Kingfisher is this?
HI aspencrest. this a common or Eurasian Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis). Filmed in Jesmond Dene in the North East of england
I don’t think the cutest and cuddly comments would last very long if you saw the carnage left behind when a Fox gets into chicken coop. What about the 8 month old baby in the uk 🇬🇧 a Fox went in the top bedroom window and chewed off the baby’s hand as she slept in her Cot,, now how cuddly was that Fox i ask you?
Humans deserves it. Much more that foxes do.
Humans needlessly and cruelly indulge in terrorising and slaughtering foxes, which wish to survive. There is no need for fox hunting or hatred of foxes. Foxes are fine and feeling animals. Greedy farmers who see their "livestock" simply as units of money, and happily have them slaughtered anyway, are the vermin- so too the hunters, who feed little cubs to their packs and routinely break the law.
Do you know how many children, adults even, are killed or injured every year in the UK by domestic dogs? I'll tell you. It's just over 3 people killed per year average (but it's increasing, there were 10 people killed last year), and nearly 7,000 people are treated for dog bites per annum. That compares with an almost total absence of instances of foxes biting humans from one year to the next. As for the chickens, if you don't take measures to keep them secure from predators, it's your own fault.
Never new foxes were even up in Newcastle or Gateshead
Aye sticklbacks for tea nout else could live in there
Richard Sales eels and shrimp. It's tidal
