This channel is all Molko and he is one of my favourites, though not why I’m here… I wonder what the audience here thinks about the surrealism of the interviewer Micallef, whom I’m bingeing on as I type this comment.
I watched this interview when it was on TV - it was actually my first introduction to Placebo - but looking back 27 years later it definitely wasn't Shaun's best work! He could barely feign an interest in Brian or the band - spent more time talking about Chris Martin and David Bowie than anything. Glad Shaun got better with age!

he was! i always find it interesting he calls himself half american, but he wasn't born there, he didnt even grow up there! His parents were back in europe by the time he was born. Nothing remotely american about him, aside from his accent a bit

@@bellatonelli as far as I know, his father's a US citizen, but has french and italian origins... Heh, that's funny we both are watching it today ^^
@@bellatonelli his dad was born in Egypt (and speaks fluent arabic - brian said so in 2003) and he was in America in NYC for years, his brother stuart was born there but by the time they had brian they were back in europe, but his dad was born in egypt and his mum was born in Dundee - like his brother is literally the only one who was born in america and they didnt even stay there the majority of Stuart's childhood either i think his fucked accent throws everyone off
