Mi transporte preferido el tren y esta canción me conmueve.
Twas a tyme when music / lyrics had a story. Most of the garbage nowadays be simple 7 - 11 ruacus in your face with no messege at all.
this is also known as train engineers lament
So beautifully sung❤
Great stuff.
California back when it was half way sane.
위대한 사람들의 예술엔 가식이 없다는 특징이 있읍니다.
This is definitely not a good video
Wow what a beauty at 0:41! Hallelujah!
Best version of this song for sure , though Justin made it very well , the only sad thing about it is it's shortness, you wish if it was much longer 🌹
Incredible.
An absolute beauty. Thanks for sharing.
This resonate a forgotten memory of mine hidden deeply in my heart and brain
I ❤ the brothers four the journeymen the highwaymen best of folk rock
I love how they start singing much softer when the audience joins them. So wise. Whispers are always more powerful than shouts.
Jab koi baat banjaye jab koi muskil padjaye
Who is the woman at 1:24? Anyone know ? her name and where she is now? Alive?
Wonderful performance of a classic song. Dick Foley had a flawless voice and knocks it out of the park singing the lead.
Many of their live performances have a very faint sound on UA-cam.
Geez. The Brothers Four and The Kingston Trio. I hope these two groups made a GAZILLION bucks. They were SO DAMN good!
folk in the early 60s!😊
They missed and der no flight...people get tagt
*Five Hundred Miles* If you missed the train I'm on You will know that I am gone You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles A hundred miles, a hundred miles A hundred miles, a hundred miles You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles Lord, I'm one, Lord, I'm two Lord, I'm three, Lord, I'm four Lord, I'm five hundred miles away from home Away from home, away from home Away from home, away from home Lord, I'm five hundred miles away from home Not a shirt on my back Not a penny to my name Lord, I can't go back home this ole way This ole way, this ole way This ole way, this ole way Lord, I can't go back home this this ole way If you missed the train I'm on You will know that I am gone You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles A hundred miles, a hundred miles A hundred miles, a hundred miles You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles
Me, being the son of a father who avidly loved this song would often hear him hum the tunes all my childhood. Back in maybe 2013 my father played this video on our family computer and together with my mother I sat through. Now almost ten years later, I'm nineteen only in first year of med school and sitting on my bed at 3AM as I'm listening, mind goes back to those days; missing my parents at home.....i can only reminisce of those days now. I'll only thank my father(baba) for this. To all the folks, love and peace ✌️
So many years, so many songs, so many memories, so many heart breaks, nothing made me distant from this song. My heart still melts the same it did when I first heard this song. ❤. This song is just one more thing to be grateful about ❤
Audience paying attention and not talking and looking at their phones. I miss those good ole days. Thanks for sharing this clip.
Some songs just bring people together regardless of who you are, where you come from. You just have to be human to share that connection.
Hammer : marteau Voir le groupe : the beegees
Beautiful voices - is that a thing of the past?
As a small child between the ages of 3 to 7 (1979-83) we would sing this often in school or at home for fun. Good memories.😊❤
There best version of 500 miles. Period.❤
Indian Bollywood great musicc director stole this tune and made his song a super hit without giving any credits.... Funny thing is indians have no problem in it...
I think that is being Inspired🤔🤔
Legends who know this song's melody was inspired by Bollywood that went on to become one of massive hits of all time as well. ✨Jab koi baat bigad Jaye✨
😂😂😂
Pure talent, and we can see the audience is mesmerised, love it.
What Beautiful Song 🎵 Thank 🎵 you,
Peacefulness lies deep within this song ❤❤
Give me a Time Machine.i want to be there.😊
Thank you for uploading a precious and rare video. I heard this song was about the lonliness of seasonal workers in the rural area in the US, but it meant much more than me. It was a song of good-old-day America with full of hopes and dreams, and I used to love and admire such a wonderful country !
Stupid Yankee! Since when is Alberta in the USA?
Good comment, but it is actually about Canada.
A Canadian, Ian Tyson wrote it about a breakup and leaving to go to Alberta Canada. Others have admired this song and covered it including Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and John Denver to name a few. Btw the writer was friends with Bob Dylon who had just written Blowing in the wind.
The emotions in the audience says it all 😢
This was when America was at it's greatest!!!
It's the one of the greatest song in the world forever.
Все бы их старые записи увидеть в хорошем качестве. Красота голосов неимоверная.❤
The rhythm is copied from the Hindi song ' jab koi baat ban jaye'
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” (Psalm 133:1) ♥️BEAUTIFUL!♥️

🌷🌷🌷!!!)))
So sad to watch this video and see the innocence of the pre-Vietnam war, pre Kennedy assassination, young people. A lot of beauty and idealism. Made me cry.
😢❤
Very peaceful. I love it. Thank you for sharing ❤
Great folk song. I was 8 and now 68.
God bless the Brothers Four. I grew up with them.
This is a very lovely rendition and the audience appreciate it.
