      They have a porta John, but no shelters or tables. The area was basically abandoned for years. So there are a ton of good fish in there that were left to their own devices. It's a nice lake, but dont expect state park level accommodations.

    • @jakelovesfishing
      @jakelovesfishing 3 місяці тому

      In this case? Stock Ugly Stick 6'6" spinning combos. They can pull in just about anything with 20lb braid. I've put that theory to the test by hooking into several large tree trunks on the rivers. If you manage to break those rods, you were actively trying. They're also light enough to throw lures around all afternoon.

    Just got mine what do u recommend line wise?

    • @jakelovesfishing
      @jakelovesfishing 3 місяці тому

      With any new baitcaster, I suggest 10lb mono. That way, you can experiment with settings without fear of getting a bird's nest that you can't get out of. That's also my preferred musky line, so if it's good enough for that, it's good enough for most anything else.

    • @jakelovesfishing
      @jakelovesfishing 3 місяці тому

      Setting 2 or 4. From personal experience, don't run anything lighter than 30 pound test on a baitcaster. You still have a chance of pulling out of a bird's nest at that weight. Anything lighter, and you're cutting. If you're cutting on this spool, you're messing with the computer. I'm going to have a full review of this combo up probably by next week. So keep posted, I'll go over everything you need to know in depth.
