Maxxis Tires Makes me Tired
In this video, I dive into the wild ride that is Maxxis tires' customer support-because when your tires hit a bump, their support shouldn't be the flat tire of the experience! Spoiler alert: it's a bumpy road. But don't worry, I'll also share some hilarious ideas on how they could turn their support from zero to hero.
I'll also review Lewitt customer support as they are something else. Buckle up, because it's going to be a funny, frustrating, and hopefully enlightening journey!

    Awesome review I own the 7 L racing version, but I really want to get the 14 L that you have! How bad is the swaying, is it manageable? I noticed the next size down the 9 L only has one strap on the seat post and yours (14L) has 2 straps. Does that extra strap make a big difference in holding it still?? please help appreciate it so much

      Hi thanks for your question i have never tried the openrun but according to spec there shouldn’t be any big difference. However the coating is different which might effects the sound a little bit, this is just a guess. Over all the sound is better than i thought, its not a bass bomber but it does the job well. They dosent interfere my workouts with pop out buds or too bulky they are just in place

    Had mine loaded up with 4-5kg and extremly bumpy gravelroad in the alps, never dropped a millimeter. You have to get the cord tension right though. Loosen the bolts on the handlebar part of the clamp, so that you can tilt the Rack and the clamp as one unit on the handlebar, angle it towards you, that way the distance of the cord will shorten and you can easily insert the cord into the slot. Once its in the slot you push the rack back to an horizontal position which tensions the cord. Tighten the bolts. You wont be able to get enough tension on the cord if you skip the tilting part, which results in your rack dropping during your ride until the cord is under tension. I think fjällräven and specialized could work on the installation instructions. I once saw a biker with the same rack that didnt shorten the cord at all, so it just tangled around the stem and the rack and bag where literally angled 90° (top of the bag oriented forward). For the price i would expect better, took me a while to install the saddle bag because the instructions were truly not usefull

    Hi! Thank you so much for your review. One of our core philosophies is to get feedback from the people who spend time in nature and use our gear as it helps us develop better products. As @Kleanmf mentioned, the clamps of the rack should be screwed on to the lower rod and the cord should be tightened from below and upwards in order to maximize stability. Hope that helps, and let us know if you have any other questions or want to chat. Happy biking!

    • @iamleonofficial
      @iamleonofficial 4 місяці тому

      Hey! Thanks for reaching out. 🙌 I tried both ways and its still dropping. And yes its a bit more steady if mounted on the under rod. What i did to prevent this is using gorilla tape around the bar as a layer which makes the surface more grippy and steady and the clamps stay in place, kinda 🙂

  • @Kleanmf
    @Kleanmf 4 місяці тому

    I have never had problems with mine. Are you aware of that you have mounted the rack wrong? The clamps should be mounted to the lower rod, not the top rod. And the dyneema cord should come from above and go under your stem head. Then it will be solid as a rock. Good luck.

    I mean it's definitely not as sleek as the Fjall Räven Bag, but Ortlieb or Vaude Handlebar bags have been around for years and work just as great as a camera bag. The only thing that is undoubtedly not very cool for a Gravel bike is the mount that will stay permanently on the handlebar.

    I checked Sony's site, no firmware update for it. But seems like macro lenses are known for bad autofocus.

    • @iamleonofficial
      @iamleonofficial Рік тому

      AE on macro is not something I use at regulare basis as its not fast enough for action. Too much layers of glass that need to be moved in a complexed lens as macro lenses are makes it slow. On the other hand its sharp and light and creates beautiful bokeh with nice contrast which makes it perfect as a portrait lens too. I like it alot and you get used to the workflow when it comes to manual focus for action. Theres was a time I only use manual as I found it better as the AE found focus on everything else besides the main object. Now sony are really good at AE but still on a Macro its hard to have fast precise ae, its a complex lens. But a really light lens that delivers great quality with a beautiful character. I like it a lot :)

  • @mtbboy1993

    I see there's a A mark 2 of this lens now FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II, smaller, lighter.

    • @iamleonofficial
      @iamleonofficial Рік тому

      Yea now it is :) if you need one lens to rule em all, this is the one. However i think the AE in the updated version is better aligned with the new Sony houses and makes the AE faster which is the biggest thing. Dont know if the actual technical quality is better regarding colors,or micro contrast . But still if you found a 24-70mm previous version for a decent amount of money buy it, youll be satisfied. It is always new stuff poppin but tbh it never changed my way of composing or become more creative or even a better photographer. I actually dig deep in to second hand boxes to find “that” lens to create character. That makes me more creative as it challenges my skills with lack of AE weird leaks and so on. Age when it comes to lenses is not a negative biggie its actually a great feature and opportunity to find ur own character in a world where everything looks the same :)

    11:03 It's not intended for tubes. But I think you can fit a Tubolito tube in there. The compartment looks the same as Neo 16L, Fr Enduro 16L, so for me this is ideal. I don't have spare tube, don't need it. But looks like it doesn ot have the large zipped pockets I use for usb cables and spare hanger, bash plate, and zip ties and spare shoe laces, and various small stuff. Or did they just replace it with one big pocket? if so I'm fine with that.

    • @iamleonofficial
      @iamleonofficial Рік тому

      I dont use tubes either just showing what you can fit in there. If i go on longer free rides i place that in my frame anyways. Tbh I only burst a tire once riding tubless and that was the drop in leogang. I usually dont dang those on regularly rides. So yeah its a big pocket with small pockets on the inside to keep essentials :) some ppl like to keep so much stuff in their bags, specially swedes. I dont, less weight on my back the happier rider I am 😊

  • @mtbboy1993
    @mtbboy1993 Рік тому

    I am considering this back pack, as my Neo 16L is worn out, there's a hole at the botton, it's trough both layers, so on the next backpack I will tape gorilla tape at the bottom to reduce wear. the Sony a7Iv fits in there, but it's too snug for my liking.

  • @mtbboy1993
    @mtbboy1993 Рік тому

    An Evoc backpack will last up to 3 years for me, so can't complain, zippers will give out in 3 years. and some wear and holes, and Velcro will be worn out. but the rest will be good. I've had Evoc FR Enduro and then Neo 16L I was happy wit those. I am glad to see they kept the well organised tool compartment. I have an USWE Patriot 15, it's not as good, as the there is no dedicated tool compartment, and things want to come out of the pack. 16L from Evoc I've tried were nice, to keep 3L bladder and have jacket in there, and even some groceries. So I would not go lower than 16L. I am curious how it will fit with a mirrorless camera, I recently got one, so ride with that, but that's very snug in the USWE backpack. On Neo 16 and FR Enduro the tool compartment was perfect, not too narrow nor too big pockets, so tools fit perfectly, at least my Lezyne Rap14. But On USWE patriot 15, they are too narrow,and can't keep my Fumpa inflator in main compartment with camera.

      @mtbboy1993 Рік тому

      @@iamleonofficial But a Issue I experienced with the Neo 16L is the bottom wearing out at the edge where the thin plastic sheet is, and thee second layer where the back protector things go trough. it tore there on one side. I don't know for sure why it happen, the Fr Enduro 16L seems to have same plastic sheet inside, but it does not have an external protector. So that backpack wore out prematurely. zippers did not even fail yet, not worn out elsewhere. Just that spot. But the back protector also adds a lot of weight. And it's overkill when I wear a torso protector already. But when I don't need that I don't need a pack protector. But it kept my back cooler than FR Enduro 16L. I don't know if it's cus I overloaded the backpack, or if I just put it down on the ground more often.

      @mtbboy1993 Рік тому

      @@iamleonofficial I bought a Explorer 30L on sale, so will have it soon hopefully, maybe late this week or early next week. 16L is a bit too small with a full frame mirrorless camera, and definitely too much with a full 3L bladder. I will see if this backpack will last longer than the Neo 16L, I suspect the back protector might have just made things worse for the durability, as it's a hole and back pack might move and rib on the part that sticks trough the hole.

      Really true i touched that topic in previous video 😀 but great that you brought it up here too 🫡 9hrs is kinda long time to just paddle with no actual breakes and it worked without a skeg. it works but def better with a skeg, or rudder specially in open water it’s helpful. The backrest is there and the ergonomic in this raft is pretty comfi tbh. Do you have any other raft in mind that weight around 3,8 kg and as mobile as this raft with all the features you mention. I would love to try that.
