I'm like crying myself to sleep because i have no idea what to do and my dad really hates the idea of sending me to the city every day, and not allowing my younger sister to go to my current school, he also said it's too big of a change, so may I ask if it was a very disrupting change in ur life as well?

You worked hard and you should have been celebrating :(( By the way, is he not able to send you to the train station every day if that's what you mean?? Because many people go by train or bus to MacRob so parents don't need to directly drop off there. (Hope I didn't misunderstand you comment.) I understand why you must be in conflict, big changes like this is incredibly stressful, ik I can't give advice as I got in just like you this year - but I have heard from current sources that the staff there are incredible & super helpful but only if you ask for the support - but what truly drives the school forward is the student support! There is probably peer pressure from what people say, but from my sources, not many have talked about it and that the stress from that will go away after you get used to the schools' ways (but then again, it depends how you deal with the pressure if the top 10% of Australian students.) This video should be mostly accurate except maybe the Male Toilet thing - idk if it is still the same. Honestly it's your life - not your dad's, you're the one studying in these schools. However, it is also understandable why you would be affect by what's happening with your family. I hope whatever decision you make, you will move on from it. And besides, you can always withdraw from the school's offers if it doesn't work out!! Even if you accept the offer, you can message Acer to withdraw from it. That's all, I'm 8 days late and I'm not a current student so that might be annoying..but I feel bad that you're under this stress and nobody is here to help you, so I hope that whatever you have chosen is the right decision for you🫶 All the best if you are my future classmate!!

@@interstellxr_1111 Well I had to accept by this point, otherwise it would be expired xD. I did end up going and i kinda calmed down. I'm gonna miss the chaos of my current school but tbh i think its a fair trade off to go to a really good school like this. About the train station thing, my dad is just overprotective and scared to let me go on the train on my own, but we did a practise run and it turns out it's 'easier than he thought' lol

You can do your working out on the question paper, pretty sure. You’ll have to double check on the day but they won’t leave you high and dry without any working out space.

@@-mudblood-484 yess, but i know the tests have changed a bit, but ill try my best. for reading comp and maths, make sure you know the "formulas" - just understand a variety of topics. but for the reasonings just make sure you practice a lot. and DONT BE NERVOUS ON THE DAY. I made sure i was confident and i think that made all the difference 😊

Hi! I've not been in that school for like 4 years but roughly, GIV does different projects like gathering gift packets for single parents on mothers/fathers days, do random bits of volunteering projects around the school or community etc. The SRC system functions as a student-focused government: they take the student body's opinions into account, take complaints, take suggestions, all that stuff, and discuss amongst themselves and put the most important issues with the principal and relevant governing parties such as a parent's association or school board. That's from what I can remember, but you could probably find the SRC's insta account if you wanna ask them more.

Hi! Definitely understand your excitement, there’s lots to do in high school other than studying. The norm at macrob is to use your first year to figure out what clubs you’re really into without absolutely committing to one or the other, so you can join literally everything you’re interested in. However I’d advise against joining absolutely every club on that list of yours during the first semester. Trying dividing them between first and second semester, but some things (musical especially) only have one “intake” so keep and eye out for those!

Hi! I haven't been in touch with them for quite some time, so I can't say for sure. However, since COVID is a thing and I know MacRob did do online classes for those lockdowns, it would be prudent to at least have a phone you could use to connect to Google classroom, or Zoom or something. Please check with the school yourself! @@howardfjs Are you in a US uni? We don't really have double majors here in Australia, but there's a double degree, which is almost the same thing except it's two different courses. From what I hear, it just adds on a year or so to your degree, but double majors in the US don't, they just split your classes evenly. Either way, whatever you're studying would just be as hard separately as it will be together, so may as well take majors/courses that you like and/or you're good at!

the school? not at all. If you're talking about an ensemble tho, you either have to take lessons if you're playing a completely new instrument, or already know how to play one.
