i have been studing english for three years , and every day is something new and it's never ends , like the ocean , thank you ma'am .
No problem. I'm happy to help!
@petrtroschenkov360 Thank you for the suggestion!!
Good morning I think I can’t understand how to use the model verb “would “ For example: What is meaning meaning of this sentence Thick carpet would reduce the echo in this hallway. What is the meaning of “would “ hear and the sentence talks about present or past an how can I know?
Good afternoon. The meaning in that example sentence is the same as "If you put this carpet in the hallway, it will reduce the echo." Maybe you're thinking about putting the rug in the hallway or leaving it where it is now (imaginary situation). So the result IF you put it there WOULD be reduced echo noises (result). The time/tense here actually isn't as important as in other sentences because nothing happened. Just like: That food would make me full if I ate it. (I didn't order or eat anything. My current real situation didn't change) / I would go inside if it rained. (It isn't raining so my plan for today didn't change)
If you want to put the rug in the hallway in the future tense, you can say "When I put the rug there tomorrow, it will reduce the echo." Present: "I put the rug there every morning, and it reduces the echo." Past: When I put the rug in the hallway last week, it reduced the echo a lot." I hope this helps!!
Thank you very much for your excellent explanation about "will".
You are welcome! I'm happy it helped.
Informative class Thank you teacher ❤
Thank you for learning ☺️ see you soon!
Hello. Do you have any plans on making a video about the articles? Thank you for your input.
Good morning. Do you mean "the, a, an" etc.? That is actually a really good idea. I can make a video about this after the modal verb series finishes.
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish Yes. This is a very tricky grammar topic. I spent so much time trying to figure out which one to use,and still it’s not quite clear. I think even native speakers might have some trouble using it and we don’t use em’ Thank you for your answering me.
I really like that idea. I'll finish "will" and "would", then I will post a video about the articles. Thank you for that suggestion I think I can help!
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish This would be such a help for many! Be safe!
Very afficient.Thank you.Are you from the Nortn of the US ?
Good morning. I am actually from California and I try to hide my Californian accent! It helps with speaking clearly and slowly. Do you like the American accent more than the British accent? Some people say the British accent is really difficult to understand and others say the Americans speak too quickly.
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish I just love when you speak. It sounds so pleasantly to my ear and very clear.British accent is the one I literally can’t stand. I spent some time in California near LA in small town Lake Elsinore.I’m from Saint P. in Russia.
Lake Elsinore is beautiful!! Did you visit Big Bear and Yosemite while you visited as well?
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish No. Didn’t have a chance to get there but I’d seen Big Bear from far distance!
@petrtroschenkov360 Ah great! Yea it's so beautiful there and I really like how you can go to the mountains and lay on the beach on the same day if you wanted to!
Hi teacher
Hey there! :)
Thank you, there are a lot of different things I never thought about 😅
Thank you for your lesson, it's very interesting 😊
Well thank you very much! Schönen Abend noch ☺️
You are an incredibly talented teacher! I can learn from you easily, pleasantly and effectively!!! Many times (and for many years, I have been trying to gain fluency in English), I have tried to understand the use of the word "might," but not avail... That's why I never used it (instead, I use the verb may or can). After your class is the first time I think I fully understood its usage as a modal verb! Furthermore, it is very helpful that you gave so clearly the usage of the word "might" as a noun and as an adjective. I have the same highly positive opinion of the rest of your classes!!! Many thanks, and keep it up!!!
Well thank you that really means a lot! I'm always happy to help:)
Hello! Teacher, you're so beautiful. I'm really into you ❤
Thanks for watching! I had a small typo at 6:39. I meant to say "raincoat" not "ring coat" haha.
Thanks a lot.
Thank you for learning.
Very good.
Hi good afternoon
Good afternoon to you too.
Bom vídeo.
I enjoyed it. Your audio is better in your last videos. But a lapel microphone would improve it further.
My camera overheated:( and I didn't realize until I started editing. But that's a good tip I might permanently do that.
Hello friends
Welcome.
I was waiting for your video for past a week and thankfully I got it today. Thank you!
You're welcome! It's nice to see you back again.
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish same to you!
Expecting “would” , thanks.
Good morning, I finally finished the modal verb series. 'Would' will be posted on Monday:)
I liike, teacher, Modal verbs is so important
I agree!!
Good lesson.
Your beautiful smile 😍 makes my day 💕. Thank you, teacher!
You learning makes my day! Thank you.
❤ great teacher for a reason❤
Nice❤
Good teaching😊❤
Thank you! 😃
Wow. I love this video.
Thank you very much! I'm thinking about making a part 2 soon:)
Excuse me Ma'am, When you said , " So the event Did not happen yet ", Why Did you wink at ? 😉✨
Because I try to use the word I'm teaching as often as possible haha. With my newest video for "just", I used it often too.
Rosie great amazing teaching, appreciations ❤❤
Thank you😍
English had never been so simple and enjoyable so far. I wish more power to your elbow.
Where were you teacher? Was that destiny which concealed you? Best wishes from Turkey on your attempt.
Merhaba! I'm genuinely thrilled you enjoy it!
Your presentation is awesome. Congratulations.
Thank you that really means a lot! With my first few videos, I was so nervous and almost gave up. I'm happy I didn't because knowing that you learned something is worth it 😀
Your English is very clear and understandable. Your talking speed and your pronunciation are perfect. I think your channel will be followed by much more English learners in the future. Congratulations. Go on.
Rosie very good explaination, my vote for you
Good morning. Thank you for your support. It really means a lot to me. And I'm really happy you're enjoying yourself.
Awesome! Your lecture is so clear and concise that I easily capture you in the video.
Thank you I'm happy you're learning and enjoying :)
I found it's more tricky about context the "yet" being used anyway. What about those clauses as followed. "I do yet to get my certificate" or "I seek yet to address the issue" or "That must be the taxi yet". There is no negative signs in then but for the "yet" itself. But I observed sort of them quite often in many kinds of texts from official to more familiar ones.
Yes this form: "I have yet to receive payment" for example is not exactly "modern" English anymore. People DO still say it but in an ironic or sarcastic way (at least in American English I'm not sure about British English). I haven't seen an example like the taxi sentence you wrote; did you hear it in a movie or read it in a book?
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish The phase about taxi is from the dialogue text book. Well, I took it like if "yet" is to be used "not" is not applied necessarily, just for better expression. "Yet" implies "not" itself.
Ah interesting I've never heard it used that way. It could be a regional phrase but I'll look more into it that's really cool!
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish Having read your answers to "@I_am_ on_theSky" struck me to change my mind into that "yet" may be congruent with "but" and "however" rather than associated with negative sentence anyway.
@@КонстантинКоньков-я1п I can see that too but a negative sentence here, means a sentence using "not". Positive or affirmative sentences are without "not" like "I have a cat". A negative sentence would be "I do not have a cat." I hope this helps!
Why not "still" together with yet and already. Had you included stil for today's plan it would have been even more satisfying for the interested viewers.
I posted 'still' before this video and I originally planned to do them together but I realized really quickly that the video would be over 40 minutes and I'm not so good at editing yet:( So for the sake of time and my sanity, I had to split them haha. Sorry for the split though:(
SO GREAT TEACHING , YOU AMAZING, ROSIE ❤❤
Thank you. I'm always happy to help!
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish Rosie you so kind, great, favourable, close .....keep it up
Good morning, teacher.
Good morning🌞

Good evening, yes I was born and raised in the United States.

I'm happy to hear that:) have a nice weekend 😎
@@ConversationCompanionEnglish Thank you, have a great weekend too 😊😊🥰
Thank you for the suggestion @edgarprieto100 ! I hope this helps.
I don't usually comment on videos on UA-cam, but I have to admit that this is the first time that I fully understand the present perfect notion. Thank you 🎉
Good morning, that's so good to hear I'm happy to help! 🎉🎊
Are you native speaker mam where are you from
Good evening, yes I was born and raised in the United States.
Thank you for the wonderful lessons and the videos. I enjoyed practicing learning at your pace. You're very beautiful teacher. 🙂
Bravo ❤ I love this lecture already. I'm done cooking already .
Haha, great usage of already!!
Thank you. Would you please talk about using 'insane' in slang?
Good morning. That's a good idea! I'll think of a few other slang words to talk about and make a video on that soon too.
Using between affect and effect, I have been having trouble everytime in writing.
I made a video about it couple of weeks ago:) I like to remember it like "A"ction for "A"ffect and "E"nd result for "E"ffect. The mean lady affects my mood and the side effect of the medicine is fatigue. I just double checked and it's part 6 in this series. Enjoy!
