Regarding the Mammoth Belt Squat price increase......Fringe is currently running a special (think it's a repeat of what they did for Black Friday) where you get the kickstand for free with purchase of the Mammoth. I jumped on that prior to the price increase kicking in.
Kabuki power bar is more like 25 TPI. The Chewy retail version is 20tpi volcano. But there are also special order chewys with 25TPI volcano and 20 Tpi mountain knurling
Back for the replay
I like my stainless steel Ohio power bar. Totally worth the money.
I listened to your podcast during work.
Love that the Dane 2.0 is going with stainless uprights. Hopefully more companies will have this as an option in the future.
It's a really cool upgrade
The same thing happens if you do that to a puppy. Why would you do it to either?
Yep!
Great overview of the book. Growing the total addressable market always beats competing over the same, smaller market.
Absolutely!
Great episode. I did go to business school 😂 so I appreciated the content.
haha great!
Great book!!! Here for some insight!
What insights did you make?
@ afraid none. I already read the book twice so much of the great info you brought up I was already aware, I do think companies who were known for innovation like rogue have been getting their lunches eaten from other companies like rep, getrx, and smaller brands
Will we be able to buy 2 of these at launch date.
You can reserve 2 of them right now
Looking forward to seeing this piece in general
Reupload?
I wish there were comparisons between the Voltra 1 and the Maiak Go available. I’m considering purchasing one of these soon. I’d love to get to Maiak Go’s instead of the single Voltra 1 I was planning, if they’re of similar quality. If they have finished products ready, there should be more such content out there IMO.
Yep!
Finally
What is the price?
Around $800
@-Cristian_12 thanks... that's better than $2,000+ for a Voltra. Let's see if they make it to Gym Con
$599 + shipping if you get the first in the preorder
How did Duffin have all this money for his pet projects while Kabuki was struggling so much? Something isn’t adding up, or maybe that was part of the problem.
Thanks for the shout out guys! I’m definitely going to take my time and make my lateral raise the best I can now that there are multiple options on the market.
I agree that the new Kabuki Power / Takeover Strength Transformer X bar looks really interesting. Right now, though, it’s not at the top of my list to review-mainly because niche products like this tend to draw fewer views compared to more popular items (like power barbells or rack attachments). That said, if circumstances change-whether that’s extra budget, sponsorship, or a surge in interest-I’d absolutely love to test and compare it for the channel. I appreciate your suggestion and will definitely keep it in mind!
18:15 it sounds like MWPiG is doing a legit anchorman impression! " I don't know if you heard but I did over 1000" [tests in this case]
YOU WILL PAY Tariffs get it?
We absolutely love the podcast, as always! You guys are constantly uncovering new insights, and we’re thrilled to showcase our new center attachment for the RX3 Tornado Rack.
Where bells of steel gets you is that all their demos are with 5 or 10lbs
Great content guys keep up the good work! The 45s on the 3rd peg problem appears to be unique to the bicep curl exercise. I did not experience the same problem on any of the other main three exercises. As Jason said a few of us are trying to work together to come up with the best long term solution. I know it’s HACKY but I’m probably just going to continue putting a couple barbell collars on the top peg before loading the 45s to create the necessary clearance regardless of what other solution comes about!!! 🤷🏻♂️
Good to know. Thanks!
I don’t understand how people on the Facebook group keep making tariffs controversial. If the companies’ costs go up, prices will rise. It’s about as simple as that.
People always have something to complain about.
@@ducdu4136sad, but true
It’s one of the reasons I wanted to rescue PK’s video from the cesspool that is Facebook.
@mwpig5 hero
Yep
I bought a rep black diamond bar 15 months ago for $329 plus tax. Today the same bar is $279 plus tax. Not concerned about tariffs. Steel prices have collapsed in the last few years and are about 35% lower than they were 18 months ago.
Good to know!
That may be from their "underworld"
@@GarageGymRadio no it is the full price black cerakote bar with duracoat sleeves.
Got off my last Oak Club order the other day justtttt in case lol
Ooooh, what did you get?
@@mwpig5 Wessey! Smith calf raise with plates are 👎
@@chrisj7660 I have the wessey! It’s nice and stable and oddly not outrageously priced for an oak club item. Weird hole spacing on the feet though. You’d think they’d line up w the holes on a crossmember for storage or something but nah
Good thinking
@@mwpig5 brother why would you tell me this, I've been holding off on buying for 2 years BECAUSE I'm worried about how it'll store on my rack 😂😂 Can it mount on an upright with pins in opposite corners?
The lads are back
💪💪
Infinity arm + spotter arm are almost on par with the Pritchett pad for t bar rows. For that reason I sold my Pritchett pad.
Good call!
Is there a video on this?
Trying to picture this but can't
Yeah, there was a company at Ursa last year that was selling / introducing those self propelled stair climbers that Bells of Steel has that’s where Kaevon saw it and probably brought it in as one of their branded items
@@carps_gym that's correct
That’s cool
The Nano X is the actual “best” shoe of all time in my opinion. They’re great for all types of lifting and just as good for being an everyday shoe because of the comfort and looks. Haven’t been able to find a true successor that checks nearly every box 😢 Great episode Jake & Jake!
Appreciate you
Weird how so many founers/inventors come on podcasts and don't have their product to physically show.
Good point - may be something I can remind them to do.
Les go 💪
💪💪
Yep!
Storage Wars!
👋👋
Let’s go
Where are we going?
@ streaking, through the quad and to the gymnasium. Everybody’s doing it.
We are going
I want a shoulder boulder. well done BoS
It definitely looks like a good piece.
I, for one and very excited for the Take Over Strength launch. I am sad to see the end of Kabuki and I still enjoy some of the content that folks like Chris are making, but I am optimistic
Definitely looking forward to seeing how it goes!
HOLY CRAP Mike takes caffeine pills?
he's a savage
Significantly less expensive than pre-workout and none of the additives.
Love the content! Appreciate it!
Appreciate you!
I’m catching this one on the replay and wanted to give a quick shoutout to Michael for relaying my joke comment from the FB group 😂. I’m sure I’ll have more thoughts as I’m able to finish this one!
Haha I just found it! Funny guy.
Really funny!
Thanks for the content
Thank you so much for checking it out.
I love barefoot shoes because of wide toe box.
Same.
@ I really like xero shoes. Their price pretty reasonable in my opinion.
I think the Bulletproof PCD does all four of those exercises as well.
This thing needs to come out already
Yeah, hopefully it comes out soon.
Wow ❤
Very cool podcast guys! I love that the home gym community is continually growing and becoming more & more mainstream. I’m actually the one who posted my initial impressions of the Smart Arm on the GGR FB group forum. Since then I’ve done one full workout on it (doing three sets of each of the main four exercises) and I still stand by my initial impressions. IMO the movements feel very similar to their standalone machine counterparts and that is the very most important thing to me. I find the main difference to be the overall play in the the eco system vs that of a singular 500lb machine. That being said there are some other trade offs. Those being setup, storage, and a newly discovered issue on one of the movements (bicep curl). I personally haven’t experienced any issues with setup or storage but it was surprising to learn that depending on one’s size and ROM, 45lb plates placed on the top peg (#3) can hit the rack post during the bicep curl exercise. This can easily be averted by placing a couple barbell collars on the top peg BEFORE loading the 45s to create the necessary clearance. Yes it’s a very simple fix to make an issue a non-issue but it would’ve been less disappointing if Prime would’ve just let everyone know about it ahead of time so it didn’t come off as a design flaw. Because of this, some people are completely writing the machine off. I think that’s a pretty drastic reaction considering it’s such a simple fix but I guess people have to weigh what’s important to them. Other than having to add collars to one peg on one exercise the machine works perfectly. I am not easy to please so I’ve been buying & selling equipment for years trying to get to my final setup and I’m happy to say that the swap was worth it for me. I will absolutely be keeping my Smart Arm!
Aye, it was you! Haha! Thanks for chiming in here. I can totally see how, as someone who had all of those machines, getting that space back was a big win for you.
Thank you so much! That is fantastic feedback!
@@nicelikemike huge win! With how picky I am I knew there was only a 50% chance of it working out but I was cautiously optimistic and I’m glad I took the risk. Saves me a lot of space and money that can be utilized for other things now!
Cool product. I wonder why he didn’t have the battery built into the machine instead of plugging in a battery pack.
To keep the options open for plugging it into a wall instead, I think.
At the end of the video I think they mention there will be 2 versions. External battery pack will be easy replacement was one of the reason he did it that way.
@@ducdu4136 Correct - 2 versions.
With the bench and all the other shit it’s at like 5-6k
Foot print is also massive. Better off just getting the leg curl/extension from prime
@@Cd11998 I agree with you here.
Not cheap.
@@GarageGymRadio definitely not cheap! However, if someone already has the shorty bench & attachments (as they should 😉) it’s about $3k to add everything smart arm using one of the available 5% discount codes. $3k for six machines. The selectorized stand alone leg combo that I swapped the smart arm for was over $6k by itself. Prime’s stand alone bicep machines run $3200-$5k. I won’t even bother calculating the price of all the other stand alone machines that the smart arm also replaces. So, if you really had the other machines like I did the smart arm is actually a HUGE deal. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But I think it’s something definitely worth considering for some people!
Dang, home gym podcast, more like home school podcast. Whats the correlation?
Yeah man! This podcast never talks about home gyms! What gives?!
@kyledivine Not what I meant haha. I just mean, in what room are 2/3 of the people home schoolers? I wonder if there's a correlation between home gym people and home school people.
@@kyledivine lol
Sounds like we should change the title
Kudos on the engaging podcast! @nicelikemike and @KaizenDIYgym. This episode with Lindsay was fantastic, and we were as excited as you by her high praise for our RX3 Tornado Rack. Can't wait to see the review and hear more from GGR and Lindsay about their experience with the rack.
Can’t wait to see the RX3 Tornado Rack at Lindsay’s home gym!
@getrxd they are so good
