Yea, this is also the advice Netflix would give you when you reported a faulty disk before sending it back.
You deserve it
Same for PlayStation man
Never works for me 👎 my copy of Spyro almost stopped working when i did this.
go to a game store to fix it do not do this lol
do not do this lol 😂 😂
it's not that you're getting toothpaste inside the scratches, it's the fact that toothpaste is basically polishing paste and you need to add a little then buff it out with a cloth just like any other polishing job. It's smoothing out the surface, taking away a thin layer of plastic and making the grooves less pronounced. So it's not the toothpaste that's doing the "magic" It's the polishing. No need to use that much toothpaste, just put a pea-sized drop on the cloth and spread it and with a dry, clean cloth buff it out as best as you can. Hope this clears things up!
It's just abrasive, using any car polish would be better as it has grades of abrasiveness, there's nothing 'magic' about toothpaste.
You sound like Damon Darling when you said "Ill pay dollar to hear the damn song
Love your collection 👏 keep collecting my friend
Nope. Toothpaste contains micro abrasives that will scratch not only plastic but also glass. Putting toothpaste on a disc will scratch it up further and probably destroy the top layer of it leaving the data and metal sub layer exposed to the air. On top of that, it looks like you used an acrylic microfibre cloth, which also scratches soft plastics as acrylic is a plastic itself. You basically just ruined that disc. Never, ever do this especially to vintage video games because they use worse plastics. If you want to fix scratches on a disc, some libraries and video game stores have disc resurfacing machines that will take a very tiny layer off the plastic and give it a mirror polish like factory new, or if you really care about collecting games, just buy one of those machines yourself.
I thought a microfibre cloth is the only thing you should use for a disc. Like the ones you get with glasses or screen protectors. Cuz they’re soft and don’t scratch it.
Appreciate all the games that mean a lot to you in this collection 🫶
Love your OG Xbox collection 👏 I just got over 100 titles for the console. So many great exclusives and new IPs and much love to Fatal Frame 📸👻 friend of mine recommended that to me during that generation and I have always recommended it to people since.
Definitely trying this.
dont
@@Casp3r.aka.Droid. Its a FRESH take. Came out looking MINTY.
Just a FYI: I've used a micro polish for cars with great results. I've even used Brasso on really bad disk to get them to read.
You cant really polish plastic without a delicate machine taking a tiny layer off the surface, plastic is too brittle and soft for polishing. Polishing a game disc is stupid because the plastic surface is so thin you risk cutting through it and exposing the sub layers to air.
You deserve it dude
I had to buy multiple copies of the same disc as a kid after they stopped working ): Too bad I didn't know this method, thanks xbox boomer!
@@geuxmer2355Sad, I've done it many times myself. No problem, hope it helps
@@XboxBoomer117 i tried it way later but it didnt really work, but i do doubt the exact way i did it, im afraid i sanded down the disc instead of fixing it lol
Snort ... Theft is terrible. Sorry this happened to you. Sniff.
Bro as a true gamer I do understand your frustration and I am sorry you had to go through that but after that first time bro I would have been on that ass and then I'd would have set up me a camera then I would have got my mailbox moved up closer to my door or I'd have to set up me a PO box with a key from my local post office at that post office ... Lesson learn ... Damn smfh ...
I had that 50 cent game when I was younger which I bought for ten dollars at a pawn shop but I got rid of it because of the glitch in the game where you couldn't pick up the rocket launcher when I was trying to finish one of the missions with the helicopter when you take down the gut who betrays you
Stubbs the zombie is such a good game omg
@@lilithisaperson Criminally underrated

@@kenshinesca I'm cheap ("frugal" is the fancy word). I also did "off grid living" for several years but to tell you the truth, it doesn't really exist in today's world.
@@XboxBoomer117 Internet and playing games on newer hardware is nice but really games on the whole have gotten worse imo. 360 generation is one of my favorites. I'm not going for a complete set but kind of an all killer no filler type of collection.
I love your videos! I'd love to see your channel explode! You are soft spoken and easy to watch. Downside is when you blow up so will the prices haha. Cheers!
Thank you, the last few videos have been a bit of a rant but I'm glad someone out there enjoys these lol
I guess I've been very lucky with my eBay purchases, haven't had a bad experience as of yet. Sorry this happened to you, I would be upset too for sure. **edited to add** do you think some of these sellers used other people's photos to sell these? Super shady behaviour...
Thanks for the comment, Im actually really happy to see authentic and thoughtful comments like this. Not what I had expected posting things online lol I think some of it could be people using Google images for their ads to make it easy to list without having to upload photos. I also think there's problems with postal workers handling packages, sellers packaging stuff, and probably some accidents from people uploading things for pawn shop accounts, resellers, etc who really don't know videogames or don't care In the end of the day I am still happy and grateful that I have all the Xbox games, I use it a lot and take care of it. I usually don't try to return anything unless it's completely not working
Are you related to Darksydephil from DSPGaming on UA-cam by any chance ? I ask because your constant snorting into the mic is so like Phil it's uncanny. Disgusting by the way. Video was excellent otherwise I hasten to add and I watched both parts. You've earned yourself a new subscriber.
Cant you just buy new xbox case ? They sell pretty cheap. You just can print cover art and you will have same thing. They are easy to find online.
Yeah, you can but for me when collecting games I put the financial to the forefront. I did the math a long time ago about roughly how much it would cost for a complete set of 360 and it is expensive, so I know for a lot of these I have to "stay on budget" and get what I expected. I try not to spend extra because I put my family's financial goals way ahead of games. There are some Etsy sellers that can mail you almost identical cover art for just under about $10 USD but I really try to get the original stuff that I grew up with, although I have done this a couple times for more expensive games
Had a copy of haunting ground for the PS2 with a reproduction cover art before I had to sell it when I fell in a bad situation
You should've hid by your mailbox with a nice 2x4.
Show him those Devil May Cry skills lmao
Ratatouille and Lollipop chainsaw you're fucking tripping
I wanted to like both of those games. Ratatouille I actually tracked down the version with the promotional movie ticket unused. Either one of them didn't do it for me
Dude you should have told the pawn shop owners and showed them your eBay receipts. They would have blacklisted the guy and depending on your state would have had to give your games back
Don’t be gullible, pawnshops are legal thieves.
Great video - subscribed! Love to see Xbox content on UA-cam. I've been picking up a ton of Xbox One games for insanely cheap, although, there are already some expensive games out there for the system which I was shocked by!
Sorry to say but seems like you could’ve done more to stop them besides ordering more games expecting a different outcome set up a camera next time or if you know your local mail times wait at mailbox if you have time but if I knew someone was taking my my mail I wouldn’t keep ordering stuff without setting something up
It wasn't quite like that, I order my games in batches, usually on pay day. I was committed already to a lot of these games being in transit. The mailboxes are not attached to the house, so makes it harder to catch the guy. I would run out as soon as I got the delivery notifications if I could, but it must have been delayed cause by then it was too late
Sneak King is GOAT 🐐 BRO
Not gonna lie, I own 2 copies lmao
Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
Sure thing, we were looking for this console for awhile for my wife and it was a trend I noticed A LOT
You're the one doing all the sniffing bro.......IM KIDDING
Yeah, I'm sick as a dog. Been sick for like 2 weeks
Glad I found this channel, this was a good watch bro
Thanks man, Im just having fun with it. In the end of the day, it is what it is getting smashed up games in the mail, but it's still fun to talk about
well shit. It'd be nice if people were a bit more honest.
Ain't that the truth lol
At least you got the games back but not for free
True
I bought a factory sealed slip on case borderlands pre sequel for 10 bucks then I opened it tried to play it guess what It didn't even work out of the box
1:49 🤣
great collection , i have all the titels except operation darkness , i have around 1400 xbox 360 games
Wow, that's awesome. Why no operation darkness? I haven't beat operation darkness yet, but I've put a few hours in and it's not a bad game, just too hard at times. So hard to find the time for long games like that nowadays
I want to be like you when I grow up.
No you don't lol
It doesn't end. lol
lol
Wow now thats a collection.
Magna Carta definitely a gem.
Why do you not clean your games / remove the stickers and also why don't you put them in proper 360 green cases? The stickers and black cases totally ruin the flow.
I do clean all of my games in depth when I get them, but some games like dark messiah are just too rough. I'm not sure what people are doing with these games before I get them but they are too far gone sometimes. As for the green cases, Its just a money issue. Xbox 360 collecting is a small hobby of mine and I always put my family's financial goals ahead of game collecting. In a nutshell, I'm too cheap to buy the green cases so I use DVD cases because that's what we have plenty of at home. If I ever see $1 Xbox games I will buy them just for the cases, but they are getting harder to find
Played it as a kid, finished it many times, and i loved it. It had great atmosphere.
I always wanted to play this game, just took me a while to getting around to beating it. Saw it many times as a kid
Battlefield 3 servers are shutting down soon in the next month. Play it before it gets shut down.
They used to be very expensive. 50$ used and even more new. There is no room on the original Xbox 360 to even use it. Only 1 usb port in the back and that’s used for Kinect. The front usb ports always break on most consoles. Compared to the ps3 that launched with like 6 usb ports. I wish the Xbox 360 had more.
And they were in almost every game. Meaning if you didn’t have Xbox live you could open up your game collection and have an unlimited supply of them basically.
I have this one on PC. It’s not easy and I’m an expert video game zombie slayer.
I was playing dirty to beat this one. Like I said, that sniper section and turret section were the worst. I was glad to be done with this one and put it back on the shelf
I buy sealed games and open them if I want a fresh disc.
My wife bought me rainbow six lockdown brand new about 2 years ago just so I had a nice copy that would work well. It hurt opening it, but works nice and I'll have it for life
