Stereolab sounds so great here in this session. Soft with clarity. Laetitia's voice sounds so unforced, gentle, and sweet, the vocal harmonies are purrfect, and the mix is very well-balanced

In 2007. I belonged to MQS yahoo group. I was in London and I met up with the group at Westminster Abbey for MQS birthday. A man in the group approached and said because I had come from the US, furthest away, I could carry and put the Heather arrangement on her tomb. I was handed the Heather and we were escorted to her tomb, they shut the door. Someone read a poem and read a prayer. Earlier someone had come in with a velvet bag that had MQS name on it. He removed some of the iron bars surrounding her tomb and I climbed in and over a put the Heather on her tomb. While coming back down I said happy birthday Mary. One of the best days of my life.

Interesting how they killed eachother but at least managed respectable burials (for the most part) as being a royal was still mostly honored above all disagreements (mostly). As the old saying goes: "It's just business"

Mary Queen of Scots was executed on 8 February 1587 at Fotheringay Castle on the orders of her cousin Queen Elizabeth I of England, whose prisoner Mary had been for nineteen years. Mary was originally buried on 5 August 1587 in Peterborough Cathedral, which is also the burial place of Katharine of Argon, the first wife of Henry VIII. Things changed when Mary’s son King James VI/I came to the throne in 1603; by 1612 he had created an ornate and elaborate marble tomb at Westminster Abbey, which is the monument that today’s visitors see. Mary’s body was exhumed and she was buried in the abbey in October of that year.

They say she really lost her head towards the end...
