This mindset is so awful. I have struggled with low self esteem since I was a young cancer survivor. The damage it leaves mentally and physically is so hard -then to be judged for surviving: having a flat chest, thinning hair and sagging skin (due to surgeries removing hormones). To me, "beauty" is what God gave you. Like Gracie Gold (Olympic figure skater) says, "I had no choice where my nose was going to be placed or the smile I was given." Beauty is so much more.

What are ugly features ?

You can’t win when you are attractive. If you are pretty but you have bad character (eg. You are mean, or you are used to everyone giving you everything so you act spoilt or entitled), then people don’t like you. If you are pretty but you are kind, then people see you as a people pleaser or an easy target for bullying, and again, they don’t truly like you. Society makes such a huge deal out of being pretty but the reality is that it sucks most of the time. The only pretty people who actually get benefits out of it are people who are pretty and born into (or get into) the right social circle or social status. Such as celebrities and nepo babies or if you are born into a wealthy family. That is because they are surrounded by people who support their pretty privilege. Other people cannot really bully them because they have the family or connections to back them up. And if they are mean or have bad character, etc, no one can do anything about it anyway. For us normal people, pretty privilege does not work in our favour
