Im always gonna see an electricians knife when i see this version. I appreciate a great blade:handle ratio, but its never a make or break thing. Its just so glaringly off, here.
Always a good day to see you in my subscription feed
I think you like this one more than you realize 😂. Me too. Its my edc.
I keep coming back to this review often. I just enjoy watching it. It's good to see someone else demonstrate and appreciate how great of a knife the Knafs Lander is. Great review, good test, informative and fun. Would be cool to see you do one of these test with a TRM Atom or Neutron (If TRM is listening, PLEASE SEND THIS MAN A TRM ATOM OR NEUTRON TO REVIEW). Keep up the great content!
Thank you good Sir. What a nice comment. 🤘
Bonne présentation et merci pour toutes ces informations sur le 154 CM
Really nice Video. Why is your Canadian Camp 2 so thick? When I look for it it is only 4.8 mm thick instead of 8 mm like yours.
I have now idea. Maybe they got it wrong.
most of the knives were affordable some years ago like El Gigante. For example trail master was affordable and now the price is crazy. I dont know why but knives prices duplicate ore more in the last years
inflation and high demand.
I am a Large Rscon 1 Fan, too. And, like you, I absolutely luv the Large Talwar, also. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
i prefer parang
How does the lock work? Seeing some problems in other videos about hinderer knives.
Knowing RHK, I wasn't expecting much from the hollow, but i was still disappointed. The one I got to use was only .003" thinner BTE than my swedged spear point. I carried my full titanium version every day for almost 2 years, so I'm really looking forward to hearing your long-term thoughts.
Great points on this video. I had a small xm-18 and I sold it. Finger choil was tiny and unusable. And I have medium to large gloves
2:42 "Why would you do that, Benchamde?" LOL 🤣 You are right doe.
Heck yes! Another great video. Great knife choice to test!
But what in a defwnd situation end you hit a gesp ore a dot from your blouse meaby the tip break i want buy one this one or manix xl
A wonderful review of the knife and of steels in general.
Magnacut or Cv & Titanium only.....or Nothing. But 4them prices. NOTHING!! RIP OFF 4what you all get 🤢🤮
GARBAGE 1st OFFERINGS by Demko Knives!! OVER-PRICED SH*T. COLD STEEL Demko BLOW THESE OUT OF THE WATER!!! YOU ALL GOT RIPPED OFF. FanBoy City. No thought design or effort went into these crap knives EXCEPT the LOCK....i wouldnt WASTE my money on it. ALL of you KNOW IT too. Just Admit it, THEYRE SH*T 4what you all paid!!! Sheeps foot is a SH*T Design Blade!! Much better for HALF your money out there on offer. 5-MAX from Cold the steel or AD-10, even 4-Max is BETTER BY FAR for a 3rd of The Cost!!! Ill wait for 2nd or 3rd offerings WHEN THEY ACTUALLY BOTHER to put QUALITY into their Blades Manufacturing 😂🤣😂🤣👏👏 Nice one everybody, you got ROLLED HARD!!!
Awesome video and knife! I have the Native Chief in M390 with DLC and brown G10 scales bought directly from Spyderco almost two years ago. Funny thing is I use the Chief more as a kitchen knife because it's thin and slicey and having other knives for edc. Thanks for sharing brother! 👍
For anyone looking for a knife similar to the broken skull, the Buck 110 slim pro TRX is almost the same. Unfortunately It’s about a quarter inch shorter, and is in s30v but it’s the closest thing to the broken skull besides the Cold Steel Range Boss.
Gut gemacht 👍
Hey MegaronKnives - EXCELLENT ANALYSIS AND REVIEW! I don't have a Chris Reeve knife yet, but I definitely want to get one in the future. Your video did a great job of comparing/contrasting many of the important and even subtle differences between these knives. This IS very helpful, because I'm still not sure if I should start with the Sebenza 31 or the Umnumzaan - you gave me a lot to consider. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I subscribed to your channel.😎👍
Nicey video! Fank yoo.
Thanks!👍👍
😅😅😅illegal im öffentlichen Raum. Sagt doch alles.🇩🇪
And also from my experience their customer service Sucks!
When I was in the miliary 1970-73 the Ontario Machete without the saw back was the issued machete. Later I bought and sold some Ontario Knife knives and the machete and kept 3 of the 18-inch machetes for myself. I don't know if at a later date the US military adapted the saw back ones or not. Ontario was sold to another company but, it had been a major contractor for US military knives, bayonets and the machetes.
Use the correct tool for the job.
My homies staying warm by the Detroit River!!! FIRE IT UP! FIRE IT UP! FIRE IT UP!!
Hitting the wood with Wharny was like hitting bone, it hits so hard I love mine in k390
i love mine got the all black fully serrated version. my only niggle is it's way off center and messing around with the pivot screws does nothing. any suggestions anyone ?
Yeah Spydercos have that sometimes. Loosening body and pivot screws and pushing the blade over to the opposite side that it is faceing, while tightnening body screws.
Ah likes mah french fried patatas with mustard on them. Also just picked up a Spyderco Native Chief Lightweight in Black & Serrated. Great video and a thumbs up too.
I’m getting one of these soon and an hinderer xm18 I want a skinny but really I’ll take a fatty skinny or regular tbh I don’t make a lot of money so I have to save up for em but worth it

Didnt like these at all at first. Now i think the serrated version might be perfect for edc.
BD1 and BD1N are just takes on old GIN-1 steel Spyderco used to use. It's alright, but BD1N has nitrogen, so better corrosion resistance and maybe a little better edge retention. I never noticed much of a difference in edge retention and sharpening between the two. VG-10 is a better steel. Proven.
That particular billhook is €40-50, its made by Spear & Jackson(probably others as well, so it stands to reason that you can get a cheaper version, but to get one for €10, you need to shop somewhere in the mid 80's)
Spear & Jackson are good quality but not much can go wrong with billhook
That is such a good model. I personally prefer my Police LW in K390, but this is my second favorite K390 model. The Stretch XL will be available in PD1 Micromelt very shortly. Gonna pick that one up.
Why not use aluminum as a liner rather than steel?
BD1N loses its edge extremely fast, from my experience. Even though it is super easy and quick to “touch up” (strop or ceramic), I find this type of edge retention just a bit too inadequate for my taste. Especially when it comes to fairly abrasive materials. I resort to using BD1N knives in kitchen, only. This knife pattern does sound interesting, though. I’ll def try the Magnacut version that should be out, shortly. I always found the newer FRN Native models a but too “blocky” in hand. Something about it just never feels right in so many different grips. Hopefully they did better with the Native Chief LW. I think it could make for a good comparison vs Police LW - a model I really enjoy, this size. Thanks for the video. I thoroughly appreciate the opinions of folks who actually use their knives..!
i only have that lack of edge retention with factory edges. As soon as i put Bd1n to a stone it cuts way longer. My edc uses consist of a combination of many different things, so i did the cut test accordingly. Still think it is underrated by most people. Magnacut will definitely give you a longer lasting cutting edge though. Thanks for your input.
@@megaronknives3032 I resharpen all my knives as soon as they come from factory. BD1N does well with a polished edge, but in a world where you can get MC, S90, K390 and other great steels, BD1N definitely gets very little love.
Great review. Can't decide between this and the police lightweight.
@@rustyhawk9335 if you can’t decide than wait until you know.
That's a white stork. They're cool as hell. We don't have them in North America, but I've seen them in Malmö a couple times. I haven't used bd1n much in PE, but I have tons of experience with it in SE. I've broken 2 of the "teeth" off. I do tons of dumb things with it, but I've done far dumber things with SE k390 and never broken any teeth off.
Yeah we have them a lot here. Very smart creatures. Hmm hard to say, there are a lot of variables here. Did you do the exact same thing with both knives, was it prefractured, was it overheated while sharpening... overall K390 is probably thougher, but chipping on serrations are not unusal in my opinion.
Buy a small sebenza w/ inlay for EDC, and a large or umnumzaan for back-up and home.
Such a beautiful work of Art. Thank You for this video
There's a knife sold as 'Omesio Neck Knife' on Amazon with the same Neckmuk blade shape but a less-guiding handle. There's another similar one from 'SDOKEDC', with either a black or an orange handle. Anyway, thanks for the detailed review and the discussion of steel attributes and purposes.
I have seen a couple of copies, maybe even by the same manufacturer. China copying China is the best new genre in knifemaking haha. Thanks for letting us know.
Stronghold 2 music? Nice!
Just impulse bought one of these 😅
Haha. it’s a lot of knife for the price.
Awesome review and great collection of knives on your other videos! I also have this exact knife and a Spyderco Ulize bought on sale before it was discontinued about 8 or 9 years ago. These knives are now collectors items in my opinion. Thanks for sharing brother! 👍
Also got an Ulice- and this year, 2024!! Was very lucky. I love all these Classics from Spyderco - the Police, the Civilian, the Military (particularly the Gen2).
That’s a new one on me! Reminds me of the Benchmade 806 AFCK‘s I wish they still made.
Benchmade using the hole was a giant controversy back in the day. Its pretty well documented on the official forum. It was an "ask for forgiveness, not permission" scenario. Sals only real comment is "we eventually reached an agreement"
All my 6 Reeve‘s have MagnaCut! Other Steel are no intresting and dont make a good Job!
