Is ZELDA Inspired By SHINTO Religion? - A Few Comparisons
Shinto is a complex and fascinating religion that originated in Japan and is still practised today. It is a unique blend of ancient folklore, mythology, and ritual practices that reflect the spiritual connection between the Japanese people and their natural environment. The Legend of Zelda reflects many aspects of Shinto, but how many of these did you already know? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Noting that third eye, that golden ornament over it has three spiked eyelashes. If he were to open that eye and a tear were to fall from it, it wouod be identical to the Shiekah eye. They gotta be related to the sheikah.

I mean, yeah - no Minish but I'm sort of glad Tears does not want to fully rest on the Laurels of past games _too_ much and was focused in pushing the Zonai out. What We got was Great but I always feel like they could have done _so_ much more with the Zona, they were a ton more interesting than anything in Breath. No DLC is even more sad and mysterious!
The Zonai are amazing I'd love to learn more, the lack of DLC was disappointing 😐 but daaamn what a game!!
@@HyruleStories Yeah, it was incredible. After thinking on it for a while, I do find myself wishing we would have gotten some DLC. I recognize that Nintendo wants to move forward, away from this iteration of Hyrule.. but despite being centered around the Zonai, we still know precious little about them, or the three dragons. I gotta ask - was it everything you hoped it would be?
Hell YES! I would of loved to find out more about the Zonai but honestly TOTK was brilliant and blew me away throughout the whole game, I wish I could play again not knowing whats to come!
Awesome theory! Looking back pretty much every 3D zelda until now, its only just dawned on me how central the eye theme is. Even more so the accentuated swirl motifs. I hope we see some more concrete evidence in tears! Also Kirin gives me PTSD from monster hunter lmfao

@@HyruleStories I wouldn't be at all surprised if the both the eye and swirl motifs all originated from the Zonai tribe. It definitely seems like they supercede all other races found in Hyrule. What I find super interesting is that the Zonai could have in some form or another, been present or at least their architecture/anesthetics in past Zelda games. After BotW, I immediately connected the sheikah tech, with the tower of the gods, from windwaker, but now I'm more thinking it's Zonai related, since even TotG shares the same "circuitry" motif, and white stone. Even the boss is similar to the large construct from the trailer. Gah dayum I need Friday to get here.

I really, REALLY like the Kirin theory. But I'm torn between that idea and the idea that he may be a humanoid dragon. There are a lot of similarities between his facial features and the dragons' faces. In fact, Creating a Champion even mentions that the dragons' features were inspired by goats. Either way, we'll know quite soon! And GREAT choice for outro music ;)
Hopefully we will have these questions answered in TOTK! The outro music is probably my favourite part of this video so thankyou for noticing 🤣

I have the feeling Zelda lost her memories based off the ways she mentions Links name. She almost says it like she's familiar with the name but can't quite remember why. It'll be cool if we'll be chasing zelda throughout the story following the castle rising, rather than finding her. Some quests could lead us from location to location following rumors or signs of her appearence.
