FNIRSI manufacturer is not reliable. They don't respond to customer complaints about their product, even when they include design mistakes. I tested a couple of units of this model FNIRSI DSO-TC3. I was more interested in the values of the parameters than the functions. All of them presented a big problem with the measure of the volts. I made a simple volt divisor and tested it with two different connections: a Voltmeter and an Oscilloscope. In both cases, the low impedance of the device influences the measure, and the voltage is wrong. When measuring with a DSO-TC3 Voltmeter, the result is the same as measuring with a proper voltmeter with a 2K Ohms resistance in parallel. When measuring with a DSO-TC3 oscilloscope, the result is the same as measuring with a proper voltmeter with a 1M Ohms resistance in parallel. They don't have any software compensation and display the wrong measure. See the attached file for the results vs. the theory. I contacted FNIRSI at the beginning of May 2024 (via email and WhatsApp). The aftersales department knows nothing about the equipment's functioning or electronics in general (they didn't know what a voltage divisor is, even after I sent the drawings). They tried to ignore the situation, and they asked me to pay attention to their website in the future in case they make a firmware update. Nothing happened until today, 17 Jun 2024. Previously, I sent the same complaints to the internet shop I purchased (in Taobao, China), and they told me the issue was a one-device issue and changed it for me. After verifying similar output, I found this is a design problem, and the manufacturer is trying to ignore it. Note that their specification already announced an input resistance of 1MOhms. What is surprising is the value when using the Voltmeter and the fact they have no correction for the displayed value. (I am using the most updated firmware version until June 2024.) On the other hand, if you want to use the signal generator simultaneously with the Oscilloscope, it will deliver a standard pulse wave of 10,000 Hz, three v, without possible modifications. I am talking from memory; I may get the frequency wrong.
I've got one, personally i don't like it but I'm willing to say its due to the lack of documentation. autorange is very slow, infind it hard to scale.

it is dangerous for anyone and for the oscilloscope to measure sine wave from the high voltage 230V, you could put a frequency generator and test it.

Hi bro, how do you calibrate the probe in this scope, without using an external signal generator? It´s not possible, right? About the FFT, actual firmware have the code but the hardware doesn't have the required performance for using it, it's disabled.

If this oscilloscope really has 10 MHz bandwidth, then I'd really like to see how it displays a 1 MHz square wave. Square wave is the best test signal for an oscilloscope. And there is no need for unnecessary words.🙂
I have not tried to measure 10MHz, but I have measured sine, triangular wave and PWM up to 1 MHz and it is visualized satisfactorily, there is no basis for comparison with more expensive devices, but for amateur prices it is excellent.

In addition, rectangular signals are extremely common today. These include PWM signals and all kinds of data transfer protocols. Therefore, it is important to know what the limiting frequency is at which it will still be possible to distinguish a rectangular signal from any other on a given oscilloscope. And in some cases, not only the displayed signal shape is important, but also the actual measurements of the duration of the signal transition to one or another level. That's why it's interesting.

@@hobbyelectronics1995 Please test with a meander. You can set the frequency to 10 kHz to begin with and gradually raise it to 1 MHz. It is best to do this in steps: 10 kHz, 20 kHz, 50 kHz, 100 kHz, 200 kHz, 500 kHz and 1 MHz. This way the video won't be very long. I am more than sure that I am not the only one interested in how this oscilloscope displays square wave signals.
Will it capable in testing current by putting uni T clamp on the probe. Hope you can do a video for that

i don't remember exactly but it's either 20mV or 10mV. for sure 20mV is possible but for 10mV I am not sure.

Website is really screwy, hard to find the files needed to update. I do have the files now and did the upgrade to V1.96 2023/12/07, works ok.

hi! how long video can it record at hd by having 32gb sd card? have you wached video on any other device after recording?
it records about 1 hour and 30 minutes, the main camera is fine up or down, but the second camera detects, otherwise it works, but you can't expect a similar type of camera to record like the expensive ones.

I have one of these - seems pretty good for what it is - general audio work in my case. Did you figure out the upgrades? It only seems to go to a mobile webpage via the QR code and the .rar file I find does not open.
settings are clear, works very well for the price. Their web site is not good, but it has all the files in .rar format, so everything is correct for me.

I had the same parts in the Audi A3 2002 BFQ. Not easy to do but I wonder if the click sound means it is broken. I check cables and only 5V is going to there flap. Remember to put it back to need to put the arms straight otherwise u will have a bad day!.

there are flaps to adjust the air flow, they are made of foam, over time this foam breaks into pieces and cold air enters the car from the outside.

Great repair. How is the accuracy after repaired? AFAIK the calibration values are stored in that EEPROM and they are unique between each unit.
I had the original bin file, and there was no problem calibration or anything else.
For my device the calibration has been lost, now it shows slightly increased voltages and resistance :/

Dear @Hobby Electronics. My tester has suffered an overcurrent. I have replaced the fuses, but the tester beeps every 5 seconds and is stuck on DC. Only the range button works. Only the range button works, any idea what could be wrong, could it be that the relay is burnt out? Thanks
