Neji is better than Lee until Lee opens the 3rd gate then they are comparable. 4th gate should overwhelm Neji and 5th gate should be enough to take him out. The nine tails chackra without the cloak definitely should be inferior to the 4th gate if the amps do what the series says they do.

One of the most memorable moments from my childhood was when lee took off those leg weights and turned into the flash. Truly brilliant writing for a kids show 😂

Nah, Lee is winning this one. And i think he should've won against Sasuke early on too. His speed is immense, even before opening gates, when he takes the weights off. That alone was already a secret/surprise for people. And he already knows not to let Neji touch him. Doesn't matter if you can see him coming if you can't move fast enough to react. Easy win for Lee.

Lee had to lose to Garra or else he would have been on team "rescue Sasuke", making everyone on the team looking like support characters in hunter x Lee.

Neji's can't be beaten by just being rushed down like Lee's fighting style does. His loss to Naruto relied on him dropping his gaurd. Look at his fight against one of the sound ninja 5 when he was on the ropes only because his opponent could formulate a way around his defenses

Here's my honest opinion about the Neji versus Lee Neji has always been too overconfident in his abilities and the fact that he would always think that Lee would never stand a chance against them I think would be neji's downfall. As far as when Naruto fought Sasuke you have to understand that Naruto's power that point from the Kurama was far greater then when Naruto fought Neji. I mean Naruto during that fight with Sasuke was moving greater speeds then Lee's primary Lotus probably even greater than that. So I don't think you can even compare the two fights but at the end of the day I think that the only way that Lee could win is to go full on using the eight inner gates from the start in completely blitzing Neji.

This isnt true. The inner gates breaks open the chakra gates. Blocking off something lee would break anyway doesnt make sense

Were giving Neji the advantage of "If he closses Lee's chakra points, he can win, because Lee can no longer use the 8 gates." It might be true that he could stop the 8 gates transformation, but the real problem comes from how likely Neji is to beat Lee before he starts opening up those gates. Im going to keep it real with you: Lee and Neji are on even-ish playing field before 8 gates open. I say "even-ish" because I still beleive Lee has a clear physical advantage of strength and speed in this fight. Lee opening up the gates is a Win-harder scenario, not an absolute must win-condition. Also, suppose these two are fighting, and they trade hits at any point. Gentle fist is designed to systematically shut people down hit after hit, limiting their options, and removing their ability to fight. Compare that to Lee's hard-fist style, designed to shatter bones and cause great physical trauma. What will be worse, 5 clean strikes from Neji, or one solid punch from Lee? Lee just has the ability to decisively end the fight with 1 or 2 clean hits. Lastly, even if Neji got his way, locked up Lee's chakra points, im not even convinced thats enough to stop him. Were talking about the Shinobi here that *got back up* after having two limbs broken, internal self inflicted damage, completely exausted, and *unconcious.* If they're both fighting emwith the pure determination of winning, Lee might honestly win through sheer perseverance alone.😅 There are situations where Neji wins, but its going to be an uphill battle for him.

In the whole chunin exams Neji was never surprised or phased by anything, even when everybody thought Kankuro/ant got his neck broke. He beat everyone to Jonin. He beat kidomaru by striking his spider web and he died from running out of chakra against the 10 tails and living his branches nindo and driving the story to make hinata instantly relevant.

Neji is the best Hyuga ever. He would’ve beat Lee.
