It you've been following the news, you may have heard about the recent $6.2 million dollar sale of the "Comedian", which is concept art which includes a banana duct taped to the wall. The artist, Maurizio Cattelan, created this piece which was first featured at Art Basel, Miami Beach in 2019. Three editions were sold at the time, which included certificates and instructions on how to recreate the artwork. The recent buyer, Justin Sun, purchased one of the three editions in November of 2024.
