I just started with my high school games. Hoping to make it big and this helped me a lot thank you for sharing your knowledge fam.
How are you controlling zoom and focus at same time?
wireless zoom trigger
This is spectacular! You had me after I saw the Wolverines #GoBlue! 1 Question I have. What would be ideal for combating the reflections of light off a player's Helmet/visor/uniform/Coache's Eyewear? How would you remove that glint of light?
I personally wouldn't want to try and remove those as it is natural for how our eyes would see those reflections and I don't find them to be a bad thing. But if you wanted to try -- you could use a high quality circular polarizer.
I’m blown away that he did not have dust cover for the 2 lens he pulled out of the bag and then he attaches those lens and infects the the camera.
how important is investing in a tripod for this type of videography? Thanks!
I'm about to order it now. What about a media day tutorial . And do one how obtain credentials and more.
infortunately, this is not football

Hi Ty, did you used any Luts? or was it straight out of camera? And if you did used a Lut where can I buy it from?
I don't remember - it has been awhile. But most likely graded it without a LUT and used secondary tools inside Premiere.
Hi! Is there any way I can purchase these sound effects?
www.tyrogers.net/store
This is exceptional! Very helpful. You made this very easy to understand. Fantastic job!
Why no track listing for the sound effect? Do the effects have music in the background?
trying to go from highlights focus to more cinematic great vid
TY when are you going to record some more videos? I just found you
I used to watch this before every game last year. I think I have my own style now but this is the foundation I built it on.
this video is so good that im rewatching it
Do you have IBIS?
Super helpful. Shooting my first NFL game in 2 weeks 🤙
Hey man, what Hi hat set up are you using in this video?
I use several but check out E-Image ECT150XS
Glad I found you I have youth football coming up I’m using this opportunity to get in the doors this is helpful
This was an awesome breakdown of different types of coverage. Thanks, man!
This video is GOLD. 🙌
I'm a long-time sports photographer who is now adding videography to my skill set. This is the best video I have found on UA-cam that describes how to film football - which is great as I was recently hired to create videos for a high school football team. You know, you should really make some more videos...

This advice is so 🔥🔥🔥. Great video my man.
This video is amazing. Wish you were making content still.
Frame rates????. What if you don’t need slow motion??
This helps a lot! thanks man!
SUPER helpful bro. Thanks!!
Great info! what is the aspect ratio? Are you using wide angle lenses or is it the way the aspect ratio is set up that makes it look so wide?
I’d recommend familiarizing yourself with the common aspect ratios in film. These were shot 1.78:1 (16x9) and cropped to 2.39:1 (scope) in post.
@@TyRogers Sounds familiar, So it was shot 16x9 and then cropped in post, I can swing that for sure. wasn't sure if it was filmed that way. Appreciate the info. Great Job! cinematic for sure!
@@Piercemediaproductions72 you always choose your aspect ratio when filming for the intended deliverable (export), per project basis.
How do you get them to hire you or how do you go about contacting them?
Love from Atlanta bro, I got a question how do you become a NFL or NCAA Photographer? I currently do high school level videos and photo along with editing and making gameday fliers using my photos...but I want to do it on the highest level eventually. and this is hella dope and confirmed it even more.
Best video I’ve seen. Quality.
I thought I was going to learn techniques for photographing a football game.....wrong. Actually there were about 15 seconds of actual football photos and the rest about the photo stud. Nice stadium though. Check out Peter Read Miller on how to shoot sports.....a real legend.
Is your sound effects pack compatible with davinci resolve or is it specific to a certain program ?
they are wav files, compatible with any program that accepts wav audio files
Bro ive seen your video at least 15 times. My 1st year filming highschool football and this has helped me every time THANKS
check out my new course on my site!
What kind of camera do you use?
Great Great Video! I have a couple Football games coming up and this video has just become the playbook! #newsub
Filmed a game with 0 knowledge going in and missed a ton of stuff... My friend showed me this vid and I'm about to film again. Feeling much more confident 5 mins into the video.
Brilliant video
What would do differently to film a highlight reel for recruiting purposes?
all 22 camera from 50 yd line bleachers
@@TyRogers Lol. Might be challenging.
Don’t know if you’ll see this but any good suggestions for a ND filter? Preferably for a 70-200 lens
check out my new course i talk about all of that and more FOOTBALL CINEMATOGRAPHY SERIES: www.tyrogers.net/store
Can you do a video on how you edit. How do you stay organized and keep track of clips you want to use later?
would the same principles apply to filming soccer aswell?
yes
Do you use any filters for night time games with stadium lights?
I only use neutral density filters
Not sure if the answer is easy enough for a comment but here's my question. How did you get your start filming football games? Do you reach out to local colleges? high schools? How did you get to where you are now? Thanks.
love the channel bro this should turn my videos up alil more when I make player mix vids and team videos
Hey! Love your video. Do you have a discount code?
Hi! I just filmed my first football game, tried to import it into a desktop folder, and my 2019 macbook did not have enough disk space for all of the clips. I am currently importing all of them into a folder on google drive straight from my sd card (film for the coaches). What are your suggestions? Get a pc, buy something I don't know about, etc. Thanks!
External SSD hard drive
@@TyRogers do you just keep it plugged in while editing?
Hello. First I want to say, I write some words in this letter to you in CAPS, because I just want to EMPHASIZE the importance of the word in the sentence, and NOT because I am Shouting at you. I saw your video on Sound Effects. You could make a LOT of Money, if you do (WEEKLY) videos of the Hits in the NFL, with the sound ON, so people can hear everything they say and hear All of the HITTING. And do the NFL videos at Field View, and with the Sound ON. This is why AMERICAN and people all around the world, love the NFL so MUCH, because the NFL, is so ***(VOLIENT)*** !!!! Please do (WEEKLY) videos of NFL HITS videos, with the SOUND ON, so people can really HEAR the HITS, and hear how VOLIENT the NFL is. And make the NFL videos at Field level view. Because Field level view, makes you feel like you are actually on the field Level, with the Players. And do the NFL Biggest HITS videos, with the (MIC Sounds ON), so you can HEAR how VOLIENT these Hits really are. They need to do MORE of these NFL Biggest HITS with MIC Sounds ON. We want to ***(HEAR)*** the HITS! You could make a LOT of Money and get a LOT of Views, if you do WEEKLY videos of this. Because people REALLY like hearing the HITTING and the field Level view of the NFL. Because people want to feel, like they are Actually down on the field Level with the players, and Actually HEAR all the HITTING sounds going on the field. So please respond back to me, and tell me what you think about what I wrote to you in this letter to you. Thank you.
I was at this game. Dream job to photograph NFL games. Got my 400mm 70-200 all the other gear. Just need the right connections now!
