Quick Hazy Afternoon Recycling
Went down to Huntington Beach after school on Friday to film some of the collections in the hazy conditions. Stumbled upon Antwan collecting recycling in an HOA in 253. Huge thanks to Antwan for letting me film, Enjoy!

thanks to the driver for allowing me to film his truck. this truck as stated in the title was previously from the Lampson yard near Stanton. It ran in Orange before getting moved down to the San Juan yard a month or two ago. Unlike the rest of the SJC trucks, this one runs on CNG. My video is not to be used against this driver.

For older truck it’s pretty efficient, and I do like how the claw stays tucked away when you pull away from a stop…. Our claws stay out in the open and you have to always pay attention to them. I would’ve gave you a show if you were recording me working in my garbage truck 😅🫡🚛

This truck looks great with the new side decals !! Do you know how many other new trucks the HB yard got ? I noticed the new recycling dumpsters around down with the light blue lids. Do you know if they are getting new carts like the toters republic in LA and San Diego are getting
I'm not sure as to how many more of these trucks HB is getting, but it's safe to say it'll be more than one haha. Currently I believe HB is getting new SSI Schaefer M and Q series and Rehrig EG cans.

That is not a amrep that is a STS K7000 those trucks were discontinued in 2006 great find!
That's.... an amrep.... There's pictures of this exact body on its previous Rainbow chassis online at the Amrep Factory... Rainbow also never bought from STS. They've only ever bought Amrep and PendPac. Not to mention that this body has amrep stickers and branding all over it. I know bc i was talking to the driver...

every few years they send one truck to Los Buitres for overhauling. Part of the overhaul process is repainting the entire truck into republic scheme.
