I would hand wash from top of the wheel well around the car and above. Light rinse. Then hand washing below that line to avoid any chance of dragging debris from the road accros the upper surface of the car.

Why not remove the wheels to better detail them and inspect the brakes and suspension? Most cannot afford to dry ice their cars.

You mention period correct radio, but looking through period blog posts, it looks like 7" Alpine VIE-X08S infotainment WAS the factory unit for the car. Foreign made infotainment in Japan is still sketchy, so a lot of imported cars had aftermarket units as the stock back in 2010. Tesla back then was absolutely one of many such brands.
