Ah it was never full height even if with everything removed, so I’d rather have raised storage/more insulation and keep my bills down, as there’ll only ever be a Christmas tree and some suitcases up there ☺️ theres definitely ample room, it just may not come across that way on film 🤷🏼‍♀️

Heyyy, so a quick estimated figure for the materials (x2 stilt/metal beam kits, the boards, cls timber, and screws etc.) I’d say £450. Then probably £500 including the light! No labour costs obviously, cos I did it myself ☺️

@ yeah not too bad when you do it yourself! The kits were reasonable as well, if they’d been overpriced I think I would have just used timber to build the platforms, but happy with how sturdy these are/feel. The metal beams are galvanised steel so can’t go wrong really ☺️ ah thank you, yes I’ll start the garage when it’s warmer 🤣

Haha I’m not stood on any plasterboard areas, there was various areas of timber where door/wall frames etc are underneath, so if it looks like I’m stood on the plasterboard at any point, it’s likely that which you can’t see on camera 😉

Oh definitely come in handy as I got guttering and facias to do in the spring so il get the longest they do!! I know I’m off 3 days a week so always getting stuck into the projects! Ha ha yeah as it is now it is snowing down here in the south it’s -2 and been snowing a couple of hours now 🎉 x

Actually you’re right!!! No there not days off lol we’re just working at home instead of working at work! Did that make sense lol 😂…yeah it snowed here Saturday night but gone by morning….the in-laws up at Blyth have only had a dusting too thought they would of had quite a bit by now!! But no doubt itl hit when we least expect it! 🎉 x

I’m lucky enough that the local hospital I work for has pampas plants all around the car parks - they used to get chopped back by the gardener every November and binned before the bad rain/wind, so I asked if I could prune them back instead and keep some of the plumes - I did this 2 years running until I had enough for my tree; and I just dried them out and now make sure I preserve the plumes each year for my tree! Sorry, not much help to answer your question 🙈 check out local places though and ask for permission, or, pampas does need to be pruned before bad weather otherwise it won’t plume as well the following year, if you see neighbours with plants, I’m sure they’d be grateful of the free gardening and you get some pampas at the same time - win win 👏🏽
