This channel is about having fun with Rc !! From Stony mountain quarry to Eliminator Rc's indoor rock course. Sometimes just in the backyard on my own rock course, or plowing snow with a custom Rc plow truck. I will also have custom builds and unboxing some Rc's on this channel.
Learn with me and possibly from me as I go through this UA-cam journey. I have lot's of Rc's to bring to the channel still, hope I can get them all on the channel eventually.

In this video I take out my Axial Scx10 Pro for the first time to Stony Mountain Quarry. Sinister also makes another great run, driven by my brother. I found out from this Crawl the Scx10 Pro does very well with not many modifications. Tune in and watch these two amazing trucks do some gnarly steep climbs at the quarry!

Morning Crawl With Sinister, Finding New Lines!
It's Bad 😊 how do you like it ?
Cool truck 😊
👍💯♥️
Thank you, I have built it up pretty well over the years. I have only changed the axle bearings a couple times. Also never broke anything internally yet, very solid trucks in my opinion. You will like the Se, it has servo on axle like my Trailwalker. Also pick up a bearing kit eventually, the Se comes with bushings to bring down the overall price. Slowly upgrade things, electronics are always the first thing I upgrade. The Fusion Se 1800kv would be perfect for a motor/esc upgrade, and servo anything 25kg or above will be good 👍 I am actually working on making a video now about cleaning up the truck and checking over the gears in the axles and transmission. Stay tuned for that it will be up in the next day or 2. And thank you for watching 😊
I saw some negative reviews about the fusion SE’s bearing (after running it on water) which they say is not fixable. Do you use this exact model or do you prefer the 1080 esc and a motor of your choice? I will surely wait for that maintenance video. Also subscribed to your channel for some great contents!
I have tried every Fusion on the market, and I've never had one go bad on me yet. I like to run the 1080 esc and Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster 550 13T in all my trail trucks. And the new hobbywing brushed motors are really good to. I have Fusions in all my LowCg crawlers since I don't go in the water as much with them.
@@ManitobaRC hobbywing looks great for upgrades then. Anyways, thanks again man!
What a very capable truck! May I ask your opinion about the sendero SE or element enduro products durability and maintenance wise? Planning to get the sendero SE as my first 1/10 crawler. Also, a quick cleaning and maintenance video after running it on water/mud will be very helpful for newbies like me! Awesome video, man!🔥
💯👍
Awesome vid 😎 rig looks cool! I am in the market for a new rc. Only had axials. I wanna try something else than straight axle 😊
Thank you 😊 The Zuul is a great rc. It performs very well with the IFS2 👍
Thats a great spot
It sure is fun 😁 Has a lot to offer, for being on the side of the road lol
💯👍🪨
Awesome ❤
it's gonna be fun cleaning that my dude!
I'm actually doing that tonight 🤙 going to open up the axles, clean and regrease everything. Might as well open up the transmission just to be safe, that was alot of water!
@@ManitobaRC do you clean it every time you get into mud and water?
Usually I'll go over the rig when something starts to squeak lol. That was my first time going in that much water! I'll have to wd-40 all the screws, bunch of them are rusty now 😅
man that's an awesome trailwalker. what are the upgrades you've put there?
Thank you 😊 I put on metal bumpers, new StealthXF transmission, Reefs metal rock sliders, Artful Dodgers Servo on axle mount, and their metal bumper skid plate. SSD brass diff covers, Treal wheels with heavy front inner rings, Injora silicone inserts in the 4.5 Pitbull Rockbeasts tires. Stretched the wheelbase from 12.3 to about 12.8. Electronics are, Hobbywing motor and esc brushed setup, hobbyporter remote/receiver, and a Power HD 25kg servo. It's had alot of work done!
@@ManitobaRC yeah it's a lot of work done i can see that. it performs very well. you think that stealth xf is much better than the X?
@@raident29 I'd say it's one of the biggest upgrades done to the Trailwalker. It comes with 18% overdrive already installed, also moves the motor more forward which is a big difference. Downfall of the XF you can't unbolt it and move it to another truck, the lower half of the transmission is the skidplate.
@@ManitobaRC yeah it's the lower part is the skid itself. i have both the x and xf which do you think is better for a prerunner build? i'd be removing the overdrive and putting it to 1:1 ratio.
@raident29 I would go with the X for a pre runner build, I forgot if the Xf comes with the gears to go 1:1.
👋😃👍
If we had video of the month , this would be it😊
It was pretty sweet getting that slow-mo shot 🤘
So I have the Ford F150 high Trail, and apparently the frame is longer… I’m going to have to cut the end of the frame so the body will open properly… I’m really getting sick of low quality Chinese hardware stripping very very quickly. Great video and the other stuff I have from the company hasn’t been horrible.
i think the pinseeker tires from enduro sport editions are much better than the general grabbers right out of the box, even better after breaking them in after 3 months of usage. general grabber are great for scale looks but performance wise they're quite lacking in my opinion.
I agree I've seen those pinseekers do alot better on a buddy's rig. I might give the 4.19 Jconcepts Megalithics a try for rock crawling, then just keep the grabbers for trailing.
i got a powerhd LW-30 from the hobbyshop where i bought my utron. it was the replacement of the reedy 15kg servo that came with the utron, the reedy just suddenly stopped working.
Solid upgrade 👍 My reedy servo was randomly twitching on my last run, so I replaced it before it crapped out. Stock electronics in crawlers are usually worth upgrading right away if you can.
What would you recommend for a solid first crawler been watching endless UA-cam and now I want to get into the hobby running
anything from element rc
Any brand has good options, I would recommend a Element Ecto. Great price for what you get. It will crawl very well and has a narrow body compared to any other crawler. Also something to consider is will you be Rock Crawling or Trailing?
Ecto 12 is cool or a Zuul 😊
Personally I just got into crawling after only having bashers for a few years, I went with the axial basecamp because it was on sale and it's been the best thing I could have ever asked for out of the box with diy mods. Although any element rc in the same price range is just as capable!
@@m.m.aautos6608 Basecamp is Nice
awesome vid!
Thank you, much appreciated!
@@ManitobaRC i have a knight walker and an utron. was thinking of using the ifs2 for the knight walker and putting trailing rear suspension for a pre-runner like build
That would be pretty sweet! Put some brushless power in it and hit some dirt hills 🤘
@@ManitobaRC already got the fusion pro 2300kv, it's a beast of a motor!
But how many upgrades did you have to do for it to perform good? How good was it out of the box
I added brass wheel hubs/rotors, and heavier rings inside the front wheels. Treal servo on axle mount and that's it. The Scx10 Pro comes as a builders kit, so you pick your own body, electronics, and wheels/tires of your choice. It does very well without a bunch of upgrades
@@ManitobaRC how does it compare to the ascent fusion?
@@Danielxperez14 The fusion ascent probably crawls just as good out of the box, especially since they added brass portal covers on the front axle. The scx10 pro will have more flex and might help in certain situations.
Awesome! You made it out to Chornick Park. It’s a great park to rip around.
I had to check it out. What an awesome park!
@@ManitobaRC it is perfect little place to rip around. Lots of room!
🏅🔥🔥🔥😎👍
what's the body on that scx10 pro and the wheelbase size?
Pro-line Cliffhanger body, it's listed as a 12.3" wheelbase body.
@@ManitobaRC i was thinking of putting that body on a 12.8(325mm) element enduro. will it fit with the chassis if i cut it right?
@raident29 I think you should be fine, my scx10 pro is 12.5" wheelbase. I like to setup the body so the wheels are flush with the headlights or stick out past the body a touch.
@@ManitobaRC thanks man! i kinda want to set it up like what you did but on a 12.8 wheelbase.
@@raident29 No problem, hope it goes well with the new body!
Hey dude! I met you at pineride one day, I’ve got the Trx4m ir40 and defender!
Hey man! Nice to see you found the channel 🤘
Impressive
Should come to stonewall next time!
That would be nice to crawl a new area, what's the go to spot in Stonewall ?
It's mainly just the quarry at the edge of town, it only has 2 main GOOD hills tho which is the down side here, one huge rock wall with many possibilities and another sandy/rocky side hill section on another hill side, not nearly as big as Stoney but some solid sections! I have only been out to Stoney once but I plan on stepping out this evening for my second crawl sesh there
@m.m.aautos6608 sounds like it is worth checking out 👍 I'll try to make it out there this Saturday, around 11am.
Plus the Ecto has the tailgate net 😊
I knew I forgot something 😅, thanks Jim 🫡
Sweet drive. Good call on the clutch. Dope driving
Thank you. I really like the way this truck rides, lots of suspension movement and handles the power very well. Thanks for watching! 👍
Where did you find trailer hitch at?
@brandonhowell5039 I found this one on Amazon 👍
Kicked up some dust Nice
Awesome crawl 😊 the truck looks sick
Thanks Jim! This truck was so fun to build, the Ecto body makes everyone think it's a stock element underneath lol. But that's actually what I was going for on this one, make it seem like a trail truck but performs soo much better!
It looks like it jumps great
Great looking Capra! I built a straight axle Capra myself and it’s almost exactly like yours even down to the black and copper paint.
Thanks Alan! Great minds think alike 🤘 hope you have a good weekend, and thanks for watching!
Very nice! On that terrain the portals should help. She looks perfect nice and low! Can’t beat that rupture grip
Thanks Arty 👍 The portals would forsure help. I should have a Capra show down one day 🤔 I have the Og capra it's not 4 wheel steer and still has the portals, the straight axle converted Capra and the Capra Utb18 😅 Thanks again for watching Arty 🤙
Great vid! That's an awesome looking truck too!
Thanks man! I gotta take it off some smaller jumps next, like a real Raptor 🤘Thanks for watching
Love Traxxas great brand
Yes definitely want one great video 👍👍
Great video cool rig 👍👍👍 how do think vanquish phoenix compares to the element ecto? Thanks
Thank you! 🙏 The Vanquish Phoenix will hold it's own against the ecto. The ecto might actually be a better crawler since it has a really narrow and lightweight body. And the Phoenix probably weighs 1.5-2 pounds more than the ecto.
Had a similar issue. Mine was the front left wheel and the shocks and drive shaft had all popped out.
Big quality control issue with the Zuul it seems. That's unfortunate we have to fix a "RTR" 😅
That truck is pretty epic 🛻💨💯
Thank you, It's alot of fun! 🤙
That is Fast !
It's crazy that's just on 3S Lipo, and stock gearing, it can be faster 😎 It's perfect for me the way it is, I prefer to have a longer run and have some fun then try to hit top speeds 🤙 Thanks for watching Jimbo, always nice to see your comments.
@@ManitobaRC longer run times are better !
@@ManitobaRCthe vxl system overheats like immediately on 19t and even 17t with ecm and motor fans
Thanks for the heads up! 👍 I might do a 14t or 15t to keep things from overheating. I will forsure grab a heat sync and fan for the motor. It was getting pretty hot just on the stock gearing in my last run.
@@ManitobaRC yea the vxl is pretty garbage. I was disappointed.
Hey thanks for the info appreciate it yes something to think about I have always heard ecto great value great performer haha I do prefer blue zuul body don’t have a ifs front end thanks
No problem Chris, I agree with you I really like the blue Zuul body. The IFS was also upgraded on the Zuul, better ground clearance than the previous version
What tires are on both trucks?
The fully modified truck has the Pitbull Rock Beasts, and slightly modified has the Rc4wd Mudslingers. Both are on 1.9 wheels 👍
Great video great info, bummer came that way, I think you nailed it done on a Friday someone wanted to go home. Question I really like the zuul and the enduro ecto ,are they any different other than the bodies? Thanks I’m torn like both and subscribed
Thank you 😊 I'm just glad it wasn't broken, but the quality control should be better! The blue Zuul has the independent front suspension and solid rear axle, also has the scratch and weather body. The Ecto has a solid front axle and solid rear axle. Both trucks have the rear trailing arm setup, not traditional lower links like most other crawlers. To be honest, you might be happier with the performance of Ecto, the IFS on the Zuul does not perform as well compared to a solid front axle. If you really like the Zuul body, they have a brown/beige body version and it comes with a solid front axle like the Ecto. Sorry for the paragraph lol, and thank you for the subscribe and comment 👍
🔥🔥🔥😎🤟 Very nice🥇👍👍👍
Thank you! 😁🤙
Dude perfect
Thanks! I'll try for a clean double backflip next time 🤙
Always fun finding a cool new spot
Absolutely 🤙
