What I liked the most in this battle was the part where you match words with the BBEG. I had spent the entire game learning about the Fey and curses, so getting to now put all that into action to tell the BBEG that "No, YOU are in trouble." was great.
Best boss theme ever?
... Thas it, I'm installing this game again. While the last thing I need right now is another distraction, I have new ideas for this fight that I want to try, that and it was an amazing boss battle.
Да 😅
It's funny how often the easiest encounters in this game's dungeons are the boss fight. I killed Vordakai before he had a chance to attack
He managed to send my Linzi back to the capital with a single finger of death and, then, the whole Tristian business happened. I finished him with my remaining party and went back home in a less than triumphant march, despite having saved the people of Varnhold.
@elvastan, my MC got oneshotted in the first playthrough so it was game over screen for me before the fight even started 😀. But yeah bosses are not that scary unless they dispell every buff.
And lo the monarch of the Stolen lands realised that (s)he was fighting neither a clown nor a cicrus, but the entire entertainment industry.
He was actually attempting to defeat GM with a mentality of a 10-year old.
This mix is damn-near flawless
vocals and music are terrific here
Couldn't appreciate the name enough 😂 Also, RIP Armag, you were the most pathetic of bosses, who got the most badass (imho) theme.
I have a lot of sympathy for Armag. Dude was gaslit from birth only to get absolutely discarded once he couldn't deliver in his fey-determined destiny
so i spared him. and also, well, Vordakai even easier, bcs he killed only Linzi, while Armag beat all except Ekun, huh
I struggled against him. Didn't realize buffs had no effect in the boss room. So while everyone was down, I took Ekun and Okbo back to the room with the tomb guardian warrior guy and just kited Armag with the wolf while Ekun took him down
I love how absolutely chaotic this battle gets, like at some points it felt like looking at the death throes of a madman. Spells are flying everywhere, people are transforming into so many forms that they sometimes forget what sex they originally were, the bbeg just literally went supernova, and I’m pretty sure that the other Eldest are on the sidelines munching on some popcorn. Calling this final boss Pandemonium would be like calling Asmodeus, “a big meanie”- it’s downplaying it to the point of being a disservice.
And considering the game's setting, that's PURE HERETICAL if a devil heard that.
Reg one shotted his last form with a empowered and maximized critical Hellfire Ray lmao
That sounds like the ultimate joke, the percect way to kill him. Killing a literal fireball with a fire ray.
@@otroweonllamadoseba And according to the spell, whoever gets killed by it literally gets sent to HELL
@@Nakisey Even better since I am playing an infernal sorcerer/ecclesitheurge fiendspawn devoted to Asmodeus.
Yaaaaa....first edition is so damn easy lol Wizard solves all your issues if your intelligent enough to break the game (and its not that hard).
good thing its his AVATAR ...lol@@Nakisey
Loved this fight. If this was when they introduced the Wild Hunt as a surprise encounter in the boss fight, I wouldnt be mad. Instead they were plastered all over like normal, frustrating late game mooks. Why were they in Nyrissa's house, anyway? A single valderavn and some scouts would've served the purpose of foreshadowing how difficult would become. Oh well
To give the player forewarning about the gaze attacks.
@@azarisLPi mean, the first 10 times it think i already got the point you know.
The most ruthless yet playful boss ever in any CRPG. The fight gets more intense with every beats, as the baron and friends face the impossible odds with the last desperate attempt to fix everything wrong.
Ture and he is probably one of those rare few cases that you REALLY feel like you are fighting a god
@Dyingember Even worse when your realize, by Golarion standards, Elders like Lantern King don't even qualify as minor deities.
@@raistlin3462 Yeah, that's exactly the case, gives you the feeling of "Whoa, a powerful being can be this menacing and cool and he is not even a demigod?? what the actual hell a real god will be like in this world??" that's a clever way to introduce the world's setting, not just some "in your face haha I'm a god ouch you can easily defeat me??" cliche shit
@@dyingember8661being fair, he's not that far from a god, the thing is that Fey have stupidly strong weaknes and limits to how their powers work and can be used. We literally forced him to use only physichal powers to fight because our *words* had more power than his words.
@@raistlin3462And he's weakened. But this is how it should be. Gods and even minor divinities like him shouldn't be something you kill for breakfast.
Putting it here then. Octavia is a thot. Good song all in all.
Love this theme! I can just hear my companions belting out spells: "Ag, Ehr, Riti!" "Tooshani Savitoor!" "Ah, Rool, Esno!" "Esgun, Soyo, TAYA!"
Funny enough, companions doing spells are one fo the things I totally dislike of this game, they couldn't bother to record the lines with the characters VA, everybody has the same voice while casting a spell, totally breaks the immersion for me.
_Haksa, yaksa, yas!_
@@wardensurana8336 agreed, but I guess recording voice files might require a high budget considering that every mage enemy you'll face will use them and special named cast having their own "unique" voice files might be something. Maybe the next Pathfinder game might change that. Then again there was the PC/player character
Valerie's shield deflect arcs of multicolored flames as Jubilost tosses ice bombs as fast as he can make them. Regongar and Octacia strike the demigod's body with a swift flurry of steel and lightning. Harrim's power courses through them, keeping them strong in the face of the archfey's wicked attacks as Ekun's arrows fly. Seeing their chance, Amari and Jaethal's weapons cleave into it's side, appearing to tear the flame itself asunder as their ruler prepares the killing blow...
Wonderful writing :)
@@HassouTobi88 thank you!
Tristian and NokNok Vibing at the capitol.
@@bluntlyhonest6803 I didn't know how to save Tristan so Jaethal killed him, and NokNok annoyed me so I didn't do any of his loyalty quests. :)
@@AquaLantern Lol it was th opposite for me, Tristian killed Jaelthal, and i simply forgot about Noknok. (In the first playthrough anyway). Noknok is actually a really really strong rogue. He hits like a truck.
Jeez, it’s like I’m fighting Tim Burton and Danny Elfman tag team.
I knew that each of the 3 battle themes connected in someway. This is perfect.
It's so cool how each form of the Lantern King has its own music. Inon Zur and Dmitry Silantyev are great.
God this is so good. The soundtrack of this game is so good. Here's hoping Wrath of the Righteous has boss fights that make your blood pump just as much. Thank you for the mix, it's perfect.
From what I played in the beta they suppased it by wide margin :)
Yeah wrath knocked the music out of the park
Music for wrath was good on a constant basis, but lacked any memreble boss themes unlike kingmaker, While a lot of boss themes were just offshoots of each other they all diverged based on which boss you were fighting. And The lantern king. Oh good gods the lantern king is just great.
@@bluntlyhonest6803 I really liked areelu's themes, but yeah nothing on the lantern king lol
@Bluntly honest tf are yiu talking about. Drezen battle theme/tavern defense blew all the standard battle themes out of the water - and Mythic Power stands head and shoulders above a lot of Kingmaker. Idk how you got 'no memorable boss themes'
Damn I wanna kick him in the doodle
LOUDER!!! LOURDER!!!
really nice work on the extension! this track is seriously amazing
I was hoping someone mixed this so I could add it to my playlist, this is great, but would it be possible to get rid of the distortion around 5:15?
Epic music for what is, for me, one of the hardest bosses in any cRPG. Holy shit this fight was tough
One of the best tactics is to quickly take out his first form before he casts dispel magic on the group, erasing all buffs. Then it´s much easier. :)
Deadly Earth + Cloud stacks = you win
Also, in second form, use the level 8 spell storm bolt to take out any wild hunt or extra gnomes. Fey have lower fortitude saves any way.
Well I just... enslaved him with tier 9 magic on all 4 phases...
Those are some nice buffs you have here, would have been a real shame if someone were to… end them.
thanks for putting the songs together! its great!
I was looking for mix of all bosses themes, tnx
They certainly rhythm, and you rhythm them so perfect!
SOOOO GOOD!!
Very nice!
great work on the mix
These are the best boss theme sets I've ever heard of! The Lantern King battle truly is a masterpiece, thank you for uploading this.
Thank you for uploading all the 3 tracks consecutively!
