The Northern Heights project
A while ago, I came across a 1939 tube that had extra bits that are not on today's map.
As I explored what this was, I decided that I would walk the disused parts and make a video.
In this video, I have tried to explain the best I can!

Paul's proposed route! It might work, it might not! We will have to wait and see on the day! I have realised watching it back that there is an error! It is not possible to get to Ruislip on the Central line. Of course I meant to say West Ruislip!

When I created this, I didn't have the September 2021 map to hand, so Battersea Park and Nine Elms have been added as a simple line and I know the line is not in the right place, so this is for illustration purposes only!

This is a collection of some of the photos and the videos from when we completed the tube challenge in October 2021! The music is all by a band called "Bond" and the tracks used are "Allegreto" & "Feugo" Some of the videos were recorded on Facebook live and then uploaded afterwards. This is my first attempt at creating a video, so hope it works ok!
First time visitor here. Enjoyed the video in general and the dash of humourous honesty too. If I may offer this critique: whilst you included an admirably high number of images of the journey, I was a little disconnected from the video about half way on when the lack of enough detail in the maps left me rudderless all of a sudden. This is when your attention to detail and determination to include the relevant open, shut &c. dates began to grate. It's a difficult one I grant you, but I think that others do it is by including them whilst distracting us in the audience with a pretty picture of how the station looked in its heyday. Onwards and upwards to greater heights...

@paulhipkiss6693 it needs to either be a start or finish as it is single line working and it would waste too much time to go there and back from another station
That is an awful route.
@@AndyJames-i5v it is if you want to beat the record, big not if you need to drive to a station and get back home in the midlands, with an overnight stay because of being unfit!😂
Its still poor even with being unfit far better connections and better routes available on line😊
And if you wanted there has never been one when u never left ghe system
There are no rules as to what type of camera, but it would need to be hand held and not on a Tripod. No drones are allowed. Just factor in that there are a lot of steps and you have to carry everything with you and some spaces can be a bit narrow in places. I just used a phone!
What cameras are permitted on the tour? Can you use a digital camera or is it just a mobile phone.
Longest ever completion i reckon
When I first went to London (and I’m in my late 40s) on the Waterloo and City line had old rickety wooden trains with small high windows that smelt of cigarettes (they used to allow smoking on the tube - crazy I know). The trains were so loud you had to shout to be heard. Slightly more civilised now 😊
