ooh yes that is true, Las Olas beach buffet doesn't have a huge variety! I wish they had Kitchen Table open for a lunch buffet as well! Will definitely let everyone know good lunch options! And yes excited to see what all activities they have, if they'll be the same or different!

If it is the 2 story honeymoon ocean view suite...it is the room i talked about around 4:18 of the video. There is that one or there is a beachfront honeymoon 2 story option i talk about later!

There are probably only 2 of them at the resort, so i'm guessing they'll both be booked when we get there, but if not...i'll try and get some footage for our full review

@@belledabear definitely better to book separately?! Even though it looks like you are booking direct through their sight with the packages, it is actually through a 3rd party vendor. You won’t get the free transportation or anything! Best to book resort on its own (travel agent can book direct! Let me know if you’d like some help from me) and then book flights separately

@@justindaniels1148 it is included if you book at least 3 nights and book direct (which travel agents can do!). But it does need to be set up separately through their vendor, but no extra charge

Hard to pick! I would say that EPM is probably their most well known one that people go back to time and time again. ERC is usually cheaper, but I really enjoyed it, thought service and resort were great! If cost isn't an issue go with EPM for your first time! but if you go with ERC, I dont' think you'll be disappointed!

One more question would you say the beach is better at Exccellence Playa Mujeres or Excellence Riviera Cancun?

I those rooms are offered in building 7 or 9...i would go 9 if you like more quiet. Building 7 if you want to look out onto the resort more.

they usually do it once a week, but dont recall if it is always a certain night. You can download the Excellence app and check out their daily schedule for up to a week in advance

i would book this direct to get the free transfers and such and just book southwest separately. That is what we usually do. Any package deals for flights and resort are a 3rd party

So with the beach house, if you were on the 1st floor you might hear people above you. You could do a 2nd floor beach house and not have anyone above you, but honestly I would actually book a rooftop terrace suite, you have gorgeous views, a bigger room, and we never heard anyone up there. Hi! I’ve stayed in the beach house room and never once did we hear our neighbors! It was so peaceful! I hope this helps. I can’t recommend this resort enough, it’s our favorite place to stay in Jamaica.

The only sound I heard in the beach house was if I was on the 1st floor if someone moved furniture or something. I would guess the 2nd floor would be fine...or another great option is the Rooftop Terrace Suite with Plunge Pool, it is a larger room and even more quiet! We’re tore between the imperial suite and the beach house direct asset to the beach because we are beach people. What are your thoughts and recommendations about the two different options that we’re gonna have? With the beach house we would be wanting to do if possible, the direct sand and not visitation.

I went here last summer and the tomahawk steak is only available at the excellence VIP restaurant. It is free , I would highly recommend booking the VIP experience, it's worth it. There is a bottle of cuervo in this video shown in a room.

No the rewards program is pretty non existent. But you do sometimes get personalized promo codes sent to you that only work with your email. Hoping they revamp that soon!

there are some, but i didn't find it too bad. You are kind of at the end of a beach, so that help! But we just said no thank you and they moved on

No, you can email ahead of time to the resort and put in a room or building request. But you won't find out room until it is ready.

So the only thing extra you would be paying for is any spa treatments (if you book club room, you do get a free hydrotherapy), tips (usually $1/drink, $2-3 dollars breakfast, $5 for lunch, $10-20 for dinner, and $20s for transportation tip and possibly concierge tip), other than that you shouldn't really be paying for anything else unless you wanted to do any excursions.

I've been there twice and didn't feel like the rooms were rundown at all. It just opened in 2018. No the plunge pool isn't heated! If you have more questions or interested in booking, feel free to email me alicean@myalitravels.com

I saw that as well about the hydrotherapy! I just went to EOB in June and it was still full experience, so might be a new thing! But regardless you'll love it! You'll have a great time in EPM!!

There are definitely people in their 20s there. I would say it is more of a couples spot, but you will find some people that are there with friends and singles. AC was good, we did request a fan in our room though to make it extra cold! I haven't been to Punta Cana yet, but from my research and why we went here instead of PC was because it was newer and more modern and does seem to have a bit more younger crowd.

The resort itself is limited to what is in front of the resort, but you can walk out to the left of the resort down the beach for quite awhile!

So the sun sets over by beach houses 1-6, so you’d have afternoon, evening sun. The rooftop we had in building 7, the sun was over of us all day, but we went in July and some shade after 3?

If you are looking for more isolated beach time/private and quiet, I would stick with EOB. If you’re looking for a deeper beach with rows of lounges, EEC would be better! We personally overall enjoy EOB better than EEC, but both are great!

So I actually liked both! But what was nice about the beach house was just being able to walk out to the beach from the back patio. But I dont think I would like the 2nd floor of the beach house, only the first floor. But what I liked about the rooftop was the aerial view. Plus the room was much larger than the beach house. Two completely separate rooms (living and bedroom)

the biggest thing with those suites are you get an extra large rooftop terrace

No you don’t have to reserve them! Free to use! They are new this year!

So I would say most people did like a $1 per drink, but if we stayed at one area we’d tip them at the end a $10 or something. Most people prob do $3-5 for breakfast, $5 for lunch, and $10 for dinner.

So stay home.

⁠@@my.ali.travelsI agree, that’s about how much we tip as well. It’s shocking to me that some people have a problem tipping for service, yet they do it at home no problem. These people work so hard taking care of us while we enjoy a luxury vacation. I make sure I take a few hundred in $1’s and $5’s for a week long trip. If you can’t afford to tip, then you clearly can’t afford this trip.
