Meadow drag race at 10,500ft. 2022 Boost Pro RMK 165" vs a 2023 9r Pro RMK 155" vs a 2022 RMK Khaos 155 vs 2023 RMK Pro 155". The 9r revs very quickly and gets a great hole shot. The boost is reeling it in on the big end but runs out of real estate. More uphill and longer meadow racing in the future!

What size of wheels do you have on it
@@NetoVasquez-f4w 18's in the front, 20's in the back.
What Intercooler are you using? Got pics of how it’s routed?
It's a Mishimoto MMINT_UR which is a 4" core with 3" inlet and outlet tubing. I have struggled with IAT since going turbo so I'm not sure I'd say I'd recommend it, I've been looking at switching to the same size in a Treadstone or adding water/methanol injection. Head over to the Infamous Racing page on Facebook for some more pictures, send me a message on there and I'll help.
Sweet truck
She's quick!
Very nice run! What is or do think your whp is at on that run?
Haven't had it on the dyno with this setup. The Wallace Racing calculator would put it around 550 horsepower with the truck at full weight, that sounds about right to me.
My opinion on the 9R’s and 850 N/A’s is that it has all the power at once which is really good if you have some speed in the technical terrain. But the 850 Turbos it gives you the power you need when you need it most of the time
polaris is way better than ski doo 👌👌👍👍👍👍💪
just so bad ass😵💯💯💯
Boost was on powder slush 9r on hard pack Not a comparison
Yes exactly what a stupid race comparison!!! Must be there first times.
Man this brings back memories. From 1976 to 81 I drag raced a 440Z my dad’s buddies 340Z and my 634 Puma in the WSRF racing association. We won just about every race. My dad was a set up guru. And I weighed 150 lbs at 6’3” I started in the 7 th grade. Arcticcat ruled everything back then.
Nice video brother
That's a beast
why is your muffler where the clutches should be? wtf
He has his phone in selfie mode so it's mirrored
UA-cam recommend this video to me. Lol small world I guess.
The problem with the 9r is when they start breaking, which they will.. they are crazy expensive to fix and parts are impossible to find.
You would be piss owing the boots sled lol
Awesome video 👍🏽
Boost was asleep at the start
Track length is also a factor tho in these races
First time I've seen a bus converted into a deck/hauler. So damn cool.
Snowmobiles May be one of the fastest land vehicles ever produced
Bro... Love your toy hauler set up with basics
Won't buy another Polaris POS ever again.
Thanks for commenting. We've had an all Polaris group in the mountains for the last 4 years and they've been very good to us.
Then you are the luckiest group of people on the planet as every year 75% of their sleds are on “DO NOT SELL” cause recalls. Even when you get them, they foul plugs until break in is over and the screen shuts off and restarts. They are junk
@@xGR1MxREAPERx recalls are not relevant to reliability, 15 years and 5 sleds all 800 155 rmk based sleds zero issues i didnt cause my self.
@@motorizedjunk6666 800’s are old. I am talking about their 850 reliability.. we also had a 900 explode last year too.. only 9800 for a new engine 😂😂😂.
Polaris gets lots of haters but the sledders around me have had very few problems, I wouldn’t touch any other brand
Have it on my vr1 boost. Thing rattled my eyeballs so I took it off. Super nice piece for the price though and did pull more RPM with it 🤷
Curious if you ever tried the quiet core insert? I ran this muffler in the mountains with the quiet core. Was loud, not as loud as some like the MBRP stuff. Was really happy with it there but I would opt for a chambered muffler if I was riding the trails.
( I AweJusted Time Traveled & Built Awe ArkTik Kat ZR 800 That Kan Beat Tha F7 That Wuz Like An zr1000 & , Tha Girlz Wanted Me To Build Awe F1000 Or Better . )
Been running their titanium version all year. And I will say this the performance gains over the stock and their baffled muffler are very noticeable. Really opens up the bottom end and give it alot more snap. Also doesn’t affect the top end at all. It’s loud yes but I haven’t found a can that works as well as this one yet
Hard to lose when you don't race anyone else!!
Radar runs are the fastest mile per hour in 1000ft so generally you aren't lined up against the others in your class.
Sounds like it has some bark at wide open throttle, would you say its more along the lines of a trail can or mountain/comp can? I run a GGB trail can now on my sled and it has some bark but nothing obnoxiously loud like a mountain can.
My opinion is that it's more along the lines of a mountain can. They do have a quiet core insert as well that I will shoot some footage with coming up. They also sell a chambered muffler.
@@brodyolson6 Thanks for the insight, I was going to get the quiet core insert with it just in case, guess I will make sure to do that, I have a boost coming next fall :)
@@toy4rnr You will love it!
@@brodyolson6 I think it will be a blast, coming off a 165 Khaos NA, going to be rowdy for sure haha.
How much horse power gain with the new open muffler
RPM's website claims a 4hp increase and 8.4lbs lighter
Those 9R’s are snappy! Can’t wait to throw a leg over one and see what I’ve been missing.
If you're thinking of buying, you might want to watch some of Muskoka Freerider content. The episode that is titled 3 broken sleds (I think) is the one I would watch first.
Actually its called "Adventure mission turned into a rescue mission"
Another to watch is "2 sleds one heli"
@@mitch6968 I’ve watched them. I’d rather have a clutch issue or failure over my chain case blowing up like all the Gen5 skidoos. Polaris is up front and proactive on the issues, skidoo kept theirs pretty quiet this season and pissed a lot of people off.
How’s the MPG on that thing? Pretty badass set up!
Thanks! We didn't end up calculating MPG on this trip but our last trip with three same amount of people and this trailer we got about 7.75mpg round trip. It ends up being cheaper than using two trucks hauling sleds and a lot less drive time per person. Definitely slower though which is the biggest drawback.
Where you racing? If it's close I'll bring my 94 vmax 4 with a turbo runs around 148mph at home
Please 🙏 post some videos 📹!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋🤠
I hit 112 in 1000 ft on my buds thundercat 900 crazy fast! Had more to go !
Badass ! Is that stock?
There was a touch of clutching and gearing work done to the ZR but otherwise it was a totally stock sled with some studs.
101 mph!?!?! So cool
Cant beat a triple they might be temperamental but fast
Were some of these spots just off trail?? I have a trip planned to Dubois this February. Looking to do some trail and some offtrail. Wasnt sure if we need to get a guide to spots like this or what. Any other tips!?!? Thanks!
Not all of them are just off trail but in Dubois specifically you don't usually need to venture all that far off the trail to find some fun spots compared to a lot of the areas we've ridden. Do some studying on the satellite/topo maps before you head out to get an idea of areas you'd like to try but a lot of it is guess and check. The fun spots that aren't far off the trail are almost always tracked up because everyone else wants to hit those too. If you time it with fresh snow then just about anywhere can be fun. I recommend staying on the mountain if you can, makes it so much easier to just ride out of camp versus trailering every day. I also highly recommend making sure you've got all your safety gear and that everyone in your group does as well. Airbag pack, beacon, probe, shovel, radio and know how to use them! Have fun!
I've been away from snowmobiling for 2 decades now but I'm buying a sled to ride around my area (ditch banging) and would love to rent a sled and ride in the mountains someday
I will warn ya, as soon as you start snowmobiling in the mountains you'll be hooked! This was our first trip out there and we've been out a bunch since then (check out some of my newer videos). Some of the views out there are breathtaking and the places these modern machines will take you are impressive.
@@brodyolson6 I believe ya
Sounds great!
I have a 1997 zrt 600 triple. As you can probably imagine, its pretty dang heavy. Was thinking about getting a 2002 zr 800 as an upgrade. But was wondering if it would be liter or heavier because of the bigger engine, but the zr 800 only has 2 cylinders..... Just wondering what you guys think?
I’ve got 2003 ZR800. It’s on carbs, electric starter and has rear gear. I think it’s a best snowmobile ever! My friend has brp 2015 year with also 800cc. He can not get away:-) new models have only better steering, no more:-)
Zr800 is pretty dang fast and has the ability to get that sweet big bore kit lol
way lighter and it's very smooth turning compared to my other zr 600 98
I have the exact same sled, I'll also be racing it this year in the stock modified class. If you're at 101 stock I can only imagine what I'll be.
2006 f7 were the best years
Too heavy.
Bull shit. Saying that is too heavy is like drag racing a 1300 pound miata with 600hp vs a 2400 pound pro mod making 4000hp. Power always wins on a strip.
@@Yz4Life Yeah 2 strokes suck, like a yz250. Why use that when you can have a heavier bike with more power and a turbo.
@@davidbrennan5 a yz isn’t a drag race motorcycle lol you use a turbo hyabusa motor to drag race a bike. You don’t understand the concepts of the the right tool for the right job. No shit you wouldn’t want to take that m1100 in the steep and deep trees but for strip racing it is the machine you want
@@Yz4Life yeah lightweight drag chassis are for losers and power to weight doesn't matter lol. The hand guards add 5 mph I am sure.
@@davidbrennan5 you sound like you have the iq of a billy goat.
He beat them all but at 400 h.p. he should wax them all.
A bus length at 500 feet is a pretty good waxing.
