When the sensor wasn't working, what did you do in the meantime to open the door? Were you able to use your key fob to unlock, and then push on it to open? Thinking about getting an EV6 but these funky door handles are a little concerning.

My Kia sorento 2023 had this feature and ever since I had to pay for a Kia connect package I did get the Plus package but I notice it doesn’t do the sound anymore I don’t get the alerts So does this mean my package doesn’t have this option?

One thing you missed (came to find your video after you mentioned it on a comment I posted earlier) is it'll also do safe emerges too. Which is a godsend as it'll happily park in quite a tight space. When sat in the vehicle stationary, engage the parking function and you'll get an option to do it, it'll happily get you out of the space it got you into using all its cameras and sensors to ensure you stay safe.

The party trick gets cooler when you combine it with the remote parking features. It'll happily bay or parallel park for you with you standing outside the car. Used it a few times now with tight parking spaces, works really well.

The MicroUSB you mentioned is actually Mini HDMI. I don't know what it would be used for though, I don't own this yet. Might try it.

Another good video. I most definitely agree that this premium stereo system is subpar. It is definitely missing base in mid range quality sound. I will give them kudos for being able to get very loud without much distortion, but what does that do? If you can’t hear all ranges in the music you’re listening to. Recently, I had my EV6 to the dealer because I received warnings on the dash. Fortunately, they saw me within minutes of the warnings popping up. The warnings were: critical forward, safety. Functions are limited. Radar blocked and check smart regeneration system. I had photographs of both warnings and showed them to the dealer. They had the vehicle for almost 2 hours. When they told me they were finished, they advised me that they were unable to duplicate the errors and the system had no error codes on it so there was nothing they could do for me. The service manager advised me to stop driving the car if it happened again and call roadside assistance and they would put it right back in the shop immediately. I drove the car away and immediately noticed that the stereo was MUCH better than it had ever been. I commented on it in a phone conversation I had with him the next day. The base of mid range were much better. The volume from the rear speakers match the front speaker speakers however, it only remained this way for about 2 1/2 days, before the back speakers lost most of their volume again. As of this date, the dealer has not responded about the loss of 80% of the volume to the back speakers.

This is very interesting and most helpful. Prior to purchasing my 2022 EV six GT line all-wheel-drive, I feel certain I watched 20 hours or more of UA-cam videos doing research. Since then, I’m sure I’ve watched an additional 30 or more hours of UA-cam videos about the EV six and then none of them has this information been provided. This is excellent information and I appreciate you posting a video of it. I am enjoying your video series on the EV six and I hope that you continue them.

Good video showing the difference in these organizers. I was unaware they were so many choices. It appears that there might be space under the organizer once it is inserted. Is this the case, or do they actually sit flat on the bottom of the current space? If it is more of a floating, insert, how much space is under the insert? Could it be used for some minor long-term storage?

Thank you for posting these useful videos. I have a 2022 EV6 and have been using my Prius (level 1) charger- 1.3 kWh. It keeps cutting out on me, leaving the car SOC dangerously low. What setting am I missing? I had also brought the car (2022 EV6) to a level 3 charger and it didn’t charge above 50% in 24 minutes! Battery conditioning mode was on - 2degrees F-, winter mode was off. Charging parameters set to 90% max threshold. Any ideas?

We are starting to have this issue with our 2022 EV6 GTL1. The RC210 recall on ICCU was completed last week, but we still got the 12V battery warning. Ours wasn't completely dead like yours, but it did not let me start the car with rapid beeping & flashing red circle warning on the right side of the instrument cluster. I boosted it to get it working, but I think it's a sign that the 12V battery is on its way out. Did you get yours swapped for an AGM battery? Is so, did you get it through the dealer or somewhere else? I'm thinking the Energizer AGM one from Costco.

Hi there; thanks for your two videos covering this topic. They were invaluable. However, I'm still unable to get rid of the Android Auto tile on the right side of the screen. When I click on the icon, the display does expand, as you point out in this video. But only up to that Android Auto tile. Is there something else I need to do to get rid of it?

I've had my EV6 GTL1 since October 2022 with about 75K KMs. I got my letter today through Purolator. I have not had the 12V battery issue until two days ago. I went to a store nearby and came out to start the car back up. It gave a red flashing light in the instrument panel and told me there's an issue with the 12V battery and also said to pull over immediately. I was able to boost it using a portable jumper I had in the car. I have not seen the warning since then even after about 200km of driving yesterday. I'm going to bring it in tomorrow to have them do the recall.

My ICCU and fuse failed at exactly 24 months of ownership and both replaced under warranty just before the new recall came out. My 12v battery is still going strong though so not all ICCU issues will damage the 12v battery.

I too had my battery replaced on my 2024 EV6 GT Line. It had 12,000 km and was 1 month over the warranty. They charged me 25% of a new battery or $75 Cdn $. I asked why the battery had died so early and their reply was, "we don't know what you do with your car." Implying it was my fault somehow. I have an appointment to take my car in for this recall on Tuesday. I will be asking them about my having to pay for the last battery. Be interesting to see their response.

just the software upgrade for me too....In May it was RC201 and December its RC210.....now sitting at 26K....still original battery

Only had one recall for my EV6 in Australia so far (after two years of ownership) the original ICCU update. The car has been flawless, still love it !!!

Again, thank you for these videos! I didn't receive this mail yet here in US, but I took my car in last week to replace the 12v battery on Warranty and they told me there was this software update. So they did all it. 100% free. 2022 GT-Line 26k miles.

With no mail service, they didn't have a choice 😂. I'm getting the car into the dealer on Monday. I'm glad my nearby kia dealer became ev certified and I don't have a 40 minute drive and wait at the dealer for a hour or so. I replaced my 12 volt battery with a Canadian tire glass mat battery with 5 year 100% replacement vs paying pro-rated coverage for the OEM battery and fussing around getting the battery qualified for warranty coverage.

Do you know what the range will be at a -30 for example? I live in Calgary Alberta , sometime the winter is harsh for few weeks , have you ever experienced this low temperature? I would imagine the window switched light up. Does the other door switches light up? The blank screen is for having the stereo on but no screen. For driving at night etc. Using the power button turns it all off. I am looking at buying one of these. Thanks for the video

Sir, I cannot believe you only have 6, now 7 likes for this video. It was an exceptional one. I am looking at a 2016 base 228i coupe with M sport package. Noticed a burning oil smell. Talked the dealership into checking and replacing valve covers etc. They are going to inspect the timing chain while in there. Listed at 13,900 US. 78k miles. Totally blown away at the ride quality. If they get those gaskets and TC if starting to show end of life issues, is it still worth getting? Audio is the base and no security features. But I need a good 1 day a week to work and weekend / trip car. Thanks in advance!
