Was the best era 😂 I remember gambling starting from only hc sofas, eventually making enough profit to get my first throne and started bigger gambling

hot take: gambling in Habbo kickstarted one of the most toxic sides of the community.. it made the game go from virtual world to just another gacha game, one that is ran by scammers.. if you think about it, the gambling scene was Habbo's mafia scene.. heck, whole in-game groups (or gangs/families as you could call them for sake of comparison) were formed surrounding this scene, working together to ruin the fun for everyone else.. maybe if credits weren't paid for with irl money, the scene could've just been a fun little thing, like you see on Habbo Retros, but overall, on Habbo itself the scene was toxic and boring and honestly outnumbering well-made rooms and actually fun mini-games.. it got so bad that there weren't any Battle Banzai rooms being hosted anymore, in favor of the gambling scene.. i'm sorry but any defense anyone could possible come up with, i don't think people get my point about how bad things were getting..

i would say habbo hotel works in the similar way as anime gatcha games because to recieve rewards you have to pull or gamble

im 27 now but i quit habbo wayyy back in the day as soon as they banned casinos. Habbo was wilding when they removed casinos. I get that they dont like scamming and wanna protect kids but thats the downfall they chose

Haven’t watched the video yet but I think in generally that Habbo died, or would die, whatsoever because of social media. Phones replaced computers, nobody has a laptop nowadays if you dont study, and chatting to people all over the world was something new back then, which isnt now

Man I wish they’d bring it back. Still an amazing game. Just kinda no really set way for anyone to grind except buy creds. Tax also lost a lot of ppl bur tax has been added and gambling has been removed from RuneScape also.

They should just make it an 18+ game barely any teens play habbo lol teens these days play Fortnite Roblox etc. plus aren’t they trying to make nft the future of their game which mostly adults that spend on it

12:51 nooo so this is why I can't find my account anymore... I remember I got banned and it was un banned in 2018 I had rare chairs like theater chair etc I even remember my account name. So my account is gone gone. They should never do that!

What made habbo great back in the day is that it was basically pure unregulated capitalism given to teens. The elaborate scams, exploits, social engineering and more that came from that was just golden. These days you get banned for most of those things and the hotel's biggest downfall came with the official ban of casinos. Being rich in Habbo ment you were a master at psychological manipulation and that brought a lot of respect and is what made these rich invidiuals so mysterious and powerful to us mere mortals.

This video really took me back, I started playing during the mid 00s when I was probably around 10, simpler times, even Habbo Retro feels very nostalgic to me. I feel like Habbo should have closed like Club Penguin or Millsberry did and the whole pedo scandals prove my point, it should have ended as a nostalgic emblem, something people would look back and remember all the good times. I doubt Habbo will ever become popular again, it's a product of its time that can't be translated to modern times and I'm sure it's mostly used by legacy players, just like Neopets, it's a shell of what it used to be but as long as there's some revenue, it will keep getting milked for nostalgic reasons.

I sure miss the old habbo shame it became what it became nothing will ever beat habbo as my childhood game.

For HabboX, from what I understand, you will be able to purchase rooms with Ethereum, but all the furni to furnish your rooms will be completely free. I think this is a great way to meet us as players in the middle as we have free alternatives to Duped Habbo Hotel games. I think it will definitely take some time for HabboX to become more popular then the classic Habbo client, but I definitely feel the excitement of it. If you somehow find time to make another video like this a year from now, I would love to hear your thoughts. Till then o/
