Empowered Electric
United States
Приєднався 21 жов 2015
When you think of construction you typical think of a high school drop out, alcoholic, wife abuser. I know that sounds really dark but true. Construction has been considered a dead end job that people settle for, not pursue.
What if that wasn't the case?
What if the face of construction could be passionate, caring, invested men and women that were working hard to make their cities, families and friends lives brighter... better.
Empowered Electric was started to answer the question, "What if we cared More about People and Less about Profit?"
The Answer: A Group of Passionate men and women are working hard to make their cities, families and friends lives brighter... better.

Whats the Difference Between Solid or Stranded Wire?

Whats the Difference Between Solid or Stranded Wire?
I'm remodeling a bathroom where the existing outlet was very close to the sink (a mid-century home built in 1951). The new sink is a bit larger and has 8-inch faucet spacing which reduces the distance between outlet and faucet so I'm moving the outlet a foot to the left. However, the existing outlet box was attached to a stud. Once I drilled a hole, Romex solid wire is almost impossible to work with over the short distance so I've ordered stranded wire to use to splice the existing wires to the new outlet. I hated having to buy additional wire but it sounds like stranded wire's flexibility should resolve some of the installation problems I've experienced. (BTW, I'm not completely opening the walls which made it harder to use Romex solid wire).
Ok that into though... 🔥
Like how you're pouches are used Show you work and real life mistakes lol
Will the equation be the same for each size conduit ; 11/2 ;1;3/4; 1/2
He taught me how to bend my fish tape! Great job boss.. 😂 #WhataWaste..lol
Don’t you think adding electrical tape around the wire & the WAGO connection would add strain relief? Strain relief is used in almost all related fields like Aviation Electronics. It keeps the wires where they’re supposed to be even if there is a bad connection at the connector. Too bad you can’t get Cannon Plugs at Home Depot. It would make wiring a house a piece of cake.
the reason his bend was underbent... He wanted to hit the center of the box? then measure from the center of the first one. He measured from the outside right of the pipe, but the bender is working with the LEFT side of the pipe when its said and done, due to his use of the right side of the pipe. so you always want to measure from the center of the knock out to the center of the knock out that youre going for.
Excellent job. Excellent video presentation
They also continue to use electricity even when you're not charging your phone. It is a small amount but it does add up
doing a lot of steel conduit work at this building site im on currently, never done anything to do with conduit prior this job so im learning what i can.. them benders you are using. does it work with steel conduit or is it aluminium only?
"So if you unplug it it will go back down to zero?"No it will magically go up to 1,000 volts..smh.. For the love of God plz stop.
couldnt you just poke a regular probe into the usb port why do u need a special device for that
Not much space for two probes, and high risk of shorting the 5v line to the housing. The "special device" that you NEED is just a cable with USB plug on one side and loose wires on the other. THEN you can probe the wires safely. The device in the video also allows you to check the current when charging. Honestly not too useful for an average Joe, but worth it's weight in gold for a repairman
What I don't like about these devices is, its like a wall wart thats always on consuming power inside your wall.
Dude do you not have google? Just buy one exactly as you described they make em!
Klein also makes the best Bongs
Nice tool, but all of these outlets are junk. They can't keep up with newer phones
Klien has the most niche, but extremely helpful tools ever made, I love them so much
These things have been around for decades. Sorry I'm not spending $30 for this when I can get the same thing for $3
@moguaiato5583 sweet thanks for the opinion
how about 2 receptacles what mudring?
It was all a rickroll guys, really you CAN use an extension cord. (Some idiot is gonna burn down their gouse after they read this comment)
@5:30 ...that sigh made me lose my sheit 😂😅 i know that feeling AF... TIME TO FIX THAT DOGGY ...
Sheesh..just saw the rest got more than a leg problem... fixable though 😂😂
I'm in the plants where time is essential and everyone is an electrician.. understandable bro 😄
Your buddy Wade looks like Trent Dilfer.
💯🔥
Also, this is all BS. Quality depends mostly on volume of work. If you don't have a lot of work, you'll need to switch to quality service to compete. Too much volume and the standards drop to match.
Ya... don't worry, the excited new guys will have their excitement squashed, like always.
Eaton.... DEEZ NUTS
You can possibly get around flickering LED's by buying better bulbs, especially the USA made dimmable ones.
He sounded like Theo Von in the beginning. 😂
Why would there be 4 ground wires coming into the box in the first place?
Count shrinkage
Nice 😆
If someone was paid .12 a day for that, then yall are robbing us on the charge to get one installed.
My favorite part of the video was not being able to see it
That's a column...
⚡Awesome videos⚡
I'm sure glad my journeyman taught me how to bend offsets that took all the math out of it, no multipliers no math.
30 years and still can't spell electrical?
My electrician used wago's for my light fixture in the bathroom. It was soooo easy for me to remove, repaint it and put it back. I was happy.
You might get more engagement if you spelled the title correctly in the thumbnail. Lol
How do you get into larger projects as a small shop of a few guys??
lol, Its look good from my house. 😂
Good enough for this neighborhood.

Incorrect. It’s been researched and commonly accepted that access to clean water is more important than electricity for communities in sub-Saharan Africa. Water is essential for hygiene which is essential to keep people out of hospitals and alive. Also, hospitals, education and jobs have existed for millennia without electricity so I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make with that.
As an electrician, I'm biased, and have to agree. I live in a city of just under 2 million people if you include the incorporated areas and county seat. All fed water from the same aquifer. That water ain't getting where it's gotta go without them electrically driven pumps.
I think water is more important, you need it as a basic tool to survive.
When I worked in Chicago we used to run the lights and fans together all the time and never had any issues you can use the same circuit just use a different switch leg for the fan
I work for JE Dunn from 2011 to 2014 as a logistical driver.. good company hard to get back into..
Crazy how walmarts hartz ultra wide tape measure can go up fo 14 almost 15 with out a problem, its insane that its showing these other companies some challenge
Yeah I should have finished the video for a refresher but didn't finish the full video and was like damn it what am I doing wrong then finished video and was like damn it . Been a long time since I had to run emt mostly rigid conduit at a steel mill. But got thanks for the video
Did they just watch a video and say, let’s make a video DONT FOLLOW THIS
