Shadow in Memorial
This a brief video of the most wonder GSD I have ever had. He was my 7th and my best. Both Vi and I have a hole in our hearts with his passing. We were graced to have him for 7 years and for that we are truly thankful and that is what makes the pain of his loss to an internal bleeding issue with his spleen bearable. Until we meet again, my boy.

Ramblings in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina
Переглядів 353 роки тому
We decided to take a road trip on US 64 eastbound from Hayesville North Carolina. The objective was to see some water falls close to the roadway before reaching Brevard N.C. Somewhere near Franklin we lost US 64 and wound up 30 miles away from Ashville. A quick input into the GPS routed us on to US 276 to get back to US 64. It was a pleasant surprise to drive this road which runs through the Pi...
Dicks Creek
Переглядів 403 роки тому
We were told about a nice scenic creek not too from us. So we set out to see for ourselves. Dicks Creek runs from the west in the Chattahoochee National Forest. There are rapids and falls at points along the stream. Trout fisherman were there as well as folks just enjoying the water. It's a really nice place to see. So sit back and enjoy a brief view of Dicks Creek.
Royal Gorge Railroad

Take a ride on the Royal Gorge Railroad in Cañon Colorado. This 11 minute journey is a condensation of the return 2 hour trip from a return point on the Royal Gorge Railroad which follows the Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge and Bridge Park in Fremont County Colorado. The gorge features various color changes in the strata. When we went, there were dapples of snow and ice which highlighted...

We went to Arizona in April of 2021. While out west we decided to go to Cañon City Colorado to ride the Royal Gorge Railroad. Here is some video of the area around Royal Gorge KOA and Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. We saw the cable car which parallels the bridge over the gorge.
Grand Canyon Railroad HD 1080p

We had the opportunity to travel the Grand Canyon Railroad from Williams Arizona to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The train ride is a pleasant 2 hour trip in each direction. Snacks can be purchased on board or arranged for at time of ticket purchase. The dome car or the observation are the most expensive and also the most comfortable. The Grand Canyon itself is truly something to see. We a...

Grassy Key & Marathon August 2020

August found us at Grassy Key RV Park about 5 miles north of Marathon. The weather was perfect although it was quite hot. We visited Aquarium Encounters in Marathon. I took the opportunity to feed the fish in the tank. It was a great experience. Sombrero Beach was also visited. It's a beautiful public beach. Beach shoes are highly recommended. Family memberswent there with me.
Tubing on the Nottely River
Переглядів 1564 роки тому
We decided to to check out tubing on the Nottely River near Blairsville Georgia. We rented our tubes at Granddaddy Mimms tubing and were shuttled to a drop off by a bridge on US 129 and the intersection of Old Gainesville Highway. The course was about 2 miles of the river meandering back to Mimms. We had rain most of the way and that accounts fror some of the "orbs"on the video. All in all a pr...

Devil's Tower

While traveling through the Black Hills of South Dakota, we found out that Devils Tower in northeastern Wyoming was not far away. Having seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind our curiosity to see the real thing was greatly heightened. So here is what we encountered. Pretty neat stuff.

Appreciate this video, not as familiar with Vero Beach, as I was back in 2005 & 2006. Would go there frequently because of work and enjoyed the beach on a few occasions. New to having a travel trailer, now over a year & half. Not a big fan of RV Parks but some are great to enjoy in the summer and this seems like a quiet beautiful park.
I enjoyed this video because I live in Panama not far from from the Corozal passenger station. ...Roy

Great video, thanks for sharing! We just made reservations for December. We usually camp at Bahia Honda, but definitely looking forward to staying at Grassy Key. It looks beautiful!
You are welcome!
That is an original idea - to have an actual drone provide a " drone's eye view " of a model railroad layout. Drones have been recently employed to make video coverage of the prototype, such as Milwaukee Road # 261. I imagine you don't want to fly the drone too low over a layout or it might act like Rodan or Mothra.
You are right about the altitude over the layout. If you look closely at some portions you can see where some the scenery gets blown by the prop wash.
Love viewing model train sets. Great idea of using a drone.
Heading down this weekend staying in spot # 8 for 3 nights. Then off to JD State Park. Again, your thurough review and images/video was what I needed to decided. Keep it up!
Thanks Bill, still have to get over there and see it in person. What are the times again?
Tuesday 7:30 PM to 9:00PM. Saturday 10;00 AM to Noon.
Nice! Thanks for the birds eye view.
Glad you liked it.

As I recall, the tent sites were to the southeast of where we were.
Venessa Colmenares the tent area is on the north side of the campers close to the dog park i live in the estates by this park
Venessa Colmenares when the drone go way up youll see a plop john (or as i call em nasty crappers lol ) on the left side of the screen thats where the tent section is

Thanks for sharing Bill. Lots of folks in our church like to vacation up there and I would like to visit it someday too. Went to Stone Mountain and saw The General in Kennesaw last year.
It's a really nice area with plenty of activities and friendly people.
im look the Panamá canal railway in real life ☺🚂
I rode it several years ago. Great ride.
Gustavo Melo I’ll keep you in mind.
Hi Bill, nice job! The park actually opened March of 2015, so it had been open almost a year when you filmed this. My property is on Oakridge right to the right of the entrance to the park (which used to be a dead end portion of Appleby).
What brand and model is this Panamá canal railway train? Where can I buy this train set of engine and wagons? Or it is custom made?
Jose Ng It is custom painted. Kato engines & Bachman cars.
Nice job. Looks like the real one. I am from Panamá. Looked and only available in n scale an Atlas engine for the Panamá Canal Railway SD-60.
Jose Ng I know. I lived in Panama for 7 years in Chiriqui Provence. I rode the train once. It was great!
Saw an Atlas several years ago on Ebay and lost out in a bidding war. The engines are Kato with tsunami decoders and the passenger cars are Bachman which were custom painted.

how come out of all these videos showing the Silverton Depot, there is nothing ever shown or mentioned about the small bldg that apparently some stooge decided that it should be taken down. correct me if I'm wrong, it was built in 1882? I guess that means nothing. please tell me what you know about it. ty.
Sorry, I have no information on the building.
Ty Bill for your response. Very much appreciated. Continue your great video work. ✌ Have a great day.
Wow! You guys have come a long wa y since we were at the St Lucie a/p/fairgrounds. My name is Ed Dannemann. What happened to the caboose?
The Caboose was gone well before I got there. I think it got sold (given) off when the club left the fair grounds. We are now in a fire house on Becker Road east of I 95 & west of the Turnpike.

Beautiful tracks love the FPV train footage, amazing layout 😎✌🏼️
Thanks, footage was mostly shot with an Ion Air Pro 2 and a little Galaxy S4. The layout is constantly evolving.
Bill: Got to admit that those power lines had me pretty nervous. It seemed that you were having trouble controlling the quad. Is that because the weight of the Mobius is a little heavy for it? You have a very well-behaved dog. Liked the background music too. Would have liked to see more of the area from higher elevation. Jim
+James C Eastep The Mobius is a little heavier than the stock camera that comes with the quad, but I don't think it has much effect on maneuvering the quad. The jjrc h5p does have gyro stabilization, but it does not have GPS. So the bottom line is that this quad requires a skilled touch with a lot of practice.
+bill baio Do you have any experience with the JJRC H5C quad? I have found mine to be very stable and controllable. It is probably a bit lighter than the H5P because of the H5Ps heavier battery. I'm wondering if the H5P is worth another purchase to get the 14 minute flight times compared to the 10 minute flight times i get with my H5C using a 600mah battery. On another You tube video I saw yesterday, a Japanese pilot demonstrated outstanding video with no jello using a JXD 509V camera on a JJRC H5C. This shows that the electrical connections and remote operation are compatible. I suspect that the same is true for the JJRC H5P. Jim
+James C Eastep I have no experience with the H5C. Right now I have upgraded to a DJI Phantom 3 4k. This platform has no jello whatsoever. From what I've been able to see, jello is best stopped by an vibration isolated mounting.
+bill baio Roger that!..Unfortunately on my fixed income, the DJI Phantom 3 is well beyond my reach. Happy flying. Jim
Cool video 😎 ✌🏼
+SlayerX Purington Thanks. Had to lower the volume on the music.
+bill baio was it to loud, that happens 😎✌🏼️
cool shots , again nice drone , have a good one , Peace
+SlayerX Purington Thanks. I''m not up to your quality yet, but I hope to get there.
+bill baio thank you , I really appreciate that comment , you have seen my work ? 😎✌🏼️
+SlayerX Purington I saw Moss Cove. it was quite impressive.
+bill baio thank you , I appreciate the view , I will sub your channel and support , thanks again , 😎✌🏼️
Very nice drone and first fly , they are awesome to fly , I cant stop flying , good clean video , Peace
+SlayerX Purington Thank you. Still getting familiar with the drone. Found I needed a ND filter to cut down some of the light. Litlle by little.
+bill baio yes it's one big learning curve I think , the filters help out a lot , keep flying buddy , it's a awesome hobby , 😎✌🏼️
Nice park I wished that you would have narrated more.
I like the cab views the best. Nice layout.
That must have been.
Thanks Bill, that was great........Bill Bacon
