cristina vee didnt she play marinette and mela lee did she play tikki? cuz they match perfectly plus lou just sings the theme song so that isnt fair! i mean she sings good its just the originals should have sung this. additionly , they shouldnt have promised her that she could sing this beacuse marinette didnt sound like Lou and when i saw the show it was so sad but when Lou sung i was like that isnt right because she doesnt sound like that. Please Lou dont sing this ever again!

Ok I'm gonna be honest, I think even if she's the voice actor, there are some parts of the way she sings that doesn't fit Marinette's voice. It's probably because she's not "acting" in these covers as Marinette, but she's singing as herself. If she were hired to sing these parts (hopefully in a "special edition" I'll gladly buy if there is one released huhu) we might be able to hear her actually sing as Marinette!

It is so weird hearing such a deep voice coming out of Marinette. Lou’s voice doesn’t suit Marinette’s character at all, it ruined the point of a musical where the character breaks out in song with THEIR VOICE, Cristina’s voice not Lou. I don’t even listen to the original songs because Lou’s voice is very deep for me to vibe to the songs. It’s like she is singing from the very back of her throat like she’s trying too hard in singing the song, while Cristina just goes with the flow. I wanted to listen to these songs but with how deep Mari sounded, it sounded like Marinette’s character was shut off for like 3 minutes and a third person deep voice took over Marinette’s body. 😭

Now this is French Marinette and Ladybug. She sounds just like Cristina Vee but in French and should have sung the French songs in the movie. She is French Marinette and Cristina Vee is American Marinette. Both high pitched voices. Lou’s voice was even deeper in the French songs, which made French voice actor confusing when the voice changed so drastically in both versions.

How it was in any way considered acceptable to use two different voices for Marinette is beyond me. If Lou had to be the singer, have her do the acting too- because striking such a sharp dissonance between a character’s speaking and singing RUINS THE POINT OF A MUSICAL.

Great edit! Just recently watched the film and was wondering why they went with a different singer. She was good but Cristina as Marinette hits different.
