Anymore knowing the number of stories doesn’t really help know how many ft, the Vanderbilt tower is I think only 57 stories but it’s 1400 ft!
Wow doubling the skyline of Hudson Yards?? It’s already bigger than most lentire skylines of most US cities!
Yeah with phase 2, the new residential building, this and 3rd Hudson if it ever gets built 😂 would give us multiple supertalls and a couple near it
another building that’s approved but has yet to break ground is tribune east tower. It’s looking like a dead project but i’m still praying it goes up
That’s a pretty building. Good vid as usual buddy.
Appreciate it
the new jp morgan building quite looks very blackish , not bronze lol
Sorry I had to talk so quite there were reasons why just turn up the volume if you need to
God finally they kept saying this since 2021
THANK YOU FOR THE INFO. HOPEFULLY, THE PHASE 2 WILL BE BUILT SOON
Yes hopefully soon
It is immense! My favorite bldg. is 230 Park Avenue.
should've brought up alloy block and master plans like domino square and green point bk
I’ll probably talk about them in the future
What a downgrade, this literally just looks like a newer international style skyscraper that'll ruin the Lower Manhattan skyline
I like the updated version so much
The new one is not terrible IMO, just very bland and unmemorable, the kind of building you wouldn't even notice. The old one is definitely much better. However, there are far uglier buildings than even the new design in NYC.
Yeah I’m not saying the new design is terrible it’s just super standard while the old one was great

The older design is iconic. 🧐
This one is Very Nice looking.🎉🎉
Isn't using less glass on a scraper supposed to be more environmentally friendly?
It takes more energy to heat and maintain glass facades
If this keeps going this shit gonna just look like a Las Vegas strip but in New York of supertall skyscrapers 😂😂
NY has to Update. Even the Brasilians are getting closer with supertalls
@@kavilavano4433 what I mean by this is how they’re only putting such tall skyscrapers on one street it is un smart and overwhelming
@@AdiGomez-p1w A BETTER DISTRIBUTION MIGHT APPEAR ON THE ZONING IN A FEW YEARS
@ I hope it does cause they can add so many more skyscrapers on the west side and add more skyscrapers on the east side near the east river
The different pics you show dont even look the same
Ye I accidentally had an old render photo in there and didn’t realize
Don’t forget about Toronto. It has over a dozen going up and is just about to surpass Chicago in amount of skyscrapers.
They should give it an elegant spire too. If they're going to block views of the Chrysler, they might as well pay more homage to it.
Yea i prefer the old design😊👍
Your righ, the old rendering was much better. I bet they decided to save money on the facade of the building and got rid of the bronze. I’d say the new rendering looks to be about 900 fit in my opinion.
Good chance they scaled it down to try to get the project back on track since it had to be put on hold. That’s my guess at least
@ normally when they scale down the height it’s to bring down the cost. And I’m betting they got rid of the brass cause it’s probably HELLA expensive! The old design had a breeze thru halfway up that was going to be open to residents. and the bromze lattice work kinda made an open barrier it was really cool.
@ DUDE! Just saw a doc on the Jeddah Tower. I knew how tall it’s gonna be, and best the Berj, but I just heard it’s going to be TWO HUNDRED stories! I knew it would be well north of a hundred, but 200 just sounds CRAZY to me!
what a waste of money.....Fl not so good with these type of investments
Huh how so?
If you are going to build one of the tallest buildings - you should want something that is iconic/ distinctive/attract tourists - not just another big BOX in the sky. The building before was superior, not great but far better. This new generation of Americans don't appreciate/know style - Would suggest one travel outside of the the US.
A lot of the newer buildings in Asia are incredible in scale and design.
Hope it doesn't get built. It's ugly and doesn't belong in the New York skyline as well as the upside-down Affirmation tower. It's out of place and does not look good.
You are mixing up renderings. The renderings that you show for the 1st 3 + minutes are from the old Tampa/Ybor City proposal that died years ago. That's the reason they look different. 🤣 C'mon man!
The last playoff game we were at there was all kinds of empty seats. Now Championship games or World Series could be an issue
I wonder who’s ranked more energy efficient, this or the new Chase headquarters? I hear both are considered insanely efficient, i read chase actually only uses friendly energy to power the building.
Hey bro question….do you have an all time fave skyscraper? U have 2.,,for old school, like pre 1950. Of course the Chrysler building. It’s just stunning, when I was a kid it was one of the highest points on NYCs crown now it barely stands out. For modern I love Scotia Plaza,,,it’s just BEAUTIFUL! It’s 902 feet to so it DEFINITELY lets you know it’s there! I read somewhere at first they were gonna go with the tallest in Toronto, but instead scaled it down to spend Notre on the architectural detail on it…and it shows! Let me know what you think!
Waiting for the Miracle to get All those Supertalls built 🙏🙏
I actually liked the previous design more.
It looked as though a gentle nudge could send it toppling over.
I thought it was hideous at first but now I look back in a sort of awe at how jarring it is.
I wish NYC didn’t have that stupid unwritten role they no building can be higher then the WTC. It would be AWESOME to see a couple mega talks going up! NYC is known of its innovation with its skyscrapers, and it stifles innovation. It also kinda tied its hands in competing with other world class cities skylines Dammit!
Yeah someone needs to break the “rule” hoping legends tower motivates NY to take back the title but who knows
Yup..It’s embarrassing that America’s first mega tall is going to be in a city the rest of the world (and to be honest half of America) have never heard of. As usual love your channel my friend!
I don’t know if this is a rule. WTC just has a really long spire too. I think developers are not building higher because buildings that tall aren’t quite financially feasible enough right now.
@ it’s a unwritten rule nothing can be higher because of its height (1776) being patriotic and symbolizing americas resilience after 9-11. And I think a spire adding to a buildings height is cheating. I much prefer roof height. Also the pice of a plot in land in manhattan is so ridiculously expensive that it can be financially infeasible to NOT build a super tall building in NYC. That’s why Chase bank tore down their 700 ft headquarters on Park Ave (the tallest building to ever be demolished ON PURPOSE) and just topped out their NEW headquarters which is TWICE as tall!
@datavisualisation5600 Too bad the housing crisis happened because Chicago would’ve had the first mega tall. I agree though that the legends tower should motivate other US cities to build taller.
I think they should put it in Corn, Oklahoma instead
@@buckeatingbread lol quit playin!
Not going to happen
I think it would be awesome in NYC or Chicago, maybe even LA or SF. But OKC? It just doesn’t fit in, it will just be a eyesore there
Nah it wouldn’t stand out there
@ first…the problem is…in OKC it stands out WAY TOO MUCH! Second the WTC and Empire State COMPLETELY stand out in NYC’s skyline and this building is 500 ft higher! No offense bro, just my opinion.
Building very classy looking and has character.
The building will be 861 ft tall
Dude why did they make that skyscraper so thin though that made a 10/10 a 6/10 cause how thin it looks
You should mention that the zoning included no building height limit, no parking requirement, and no density limitation. Unlimited development ontop of the PATH station.
looks like the aqua tower in Chicago
Yeah it does! It could be the same architect, she’s still very active and her buildings always have a similar design . Whit out researching it I’m betting there’s a good chance it is.
Love the wave effect on the facade of the building beautuful new skyscraper for miami❤❤❤❤😊🤠👍
Yes you are correct very nice lines on this building
Really nice design!
1,002 ft tall - nice pictures - - thanks for sharing. 😎👍
Renderings
Also I’m happy that people are starting to realize how many very low rise buildings are still on the west side of nyc 😂 it’s about time god
I think it has to be built first to see how it looks cause I think it would look cool and it would grow on people
They let Pegula decide how it would be built with taxpayer money. I'm helping pay for something that should have been a dome stadium so the taxpayers could get their moneys worth by using it for other things all year long , not just for playing fixed football games for the nfl.
Good looks stupid and would ruin the skyline
Ny skyline is already a 💩. It doesnt have Megatalls
Dont forget they are using tax payer money to help cover the cost of a privately owned business.
