There is enough evidence to say that one of the two pilots in the cockpit ditched this plane in the southern Indian Ocean. There is insufficient evidence to say which one. Both were very capable. Fariq Hamid had been described by an assessor as being one of the best pilots in the company. Both had possible motive. Hamid was under investigation for behaviour following a complaint from a customer. We know Shah was in the cockpit 2 minutes prior to the plane making the turn back to Malaysia. We have no idea where Hamid was. The evidence we need will not come from finding the plane but from an electronic footprint left by the perpetrator in planning this crime. Shah's simulator data is not a footprint but a reverse engineering.

When talking about Germany and USSR, he says “H*tler” and “Stalin”. When talking about UK and USA he says “Britain and the Western Allies”. Small point, but demonstrates Western tendency to obsess about individual leaders when thinking about foreign adversity countries. As if 1 dude represents the whole nation (which is absurd). E.g. to be consistent he could have said “He’s got Stalin on the East, and he’s got Churchill and Roosevelt on the West closing in”. But he didn’t do that, as it just feels absurd to portray his own country that way.
