I own a couple Special 20s myself (although they are the 2014 Progressive version). I'm mainly an oldstyle Golden Melody player, but I started out on the SP20s. I liked them, but I thought they sounded too dark for the style I was aiming for. Then I realized, it was my embouchre messing things up. Now that I developed a better tone, I still think they're pretty good but they don't have the sweet and raspy tone of the Goldens. I'm planning on getting a Suzuki Bluesmaster as my next harmonica, so I'll be in for a treat.

I'm soon going to be purchasing my first Suzuki Bluesmaster in Bb. I always liked the tone of them from the videos I watched. From my end, they have a sweet, mellow sound that sounds pleasing to the ear. I mainly play the original Hohner Golden Melody and ever since they've been discontinued by Hohner, I'm trying to find a replacement for my other harmonicas that aren't tuned in Equal Temperment. I think the Bluesmaster will be a good choice for me.

Thank you. Aren't you playing: A major / D major / E MINOR chords ? And isn't the blues progression A major / D major / E MAJOR ? Is that a problem?

Wow, out of mine hohner’s marine band deluxes, crossovers, rockets, my seydels 1987 lightnings, my hering harmonicas, i only have 2 suzukis, a pro master and a fire breath, and the pro master is one of the best and easiest harmonica to bend ~ you r saying the Bluesmaster is even better 0.0 i will have to buy one and see now
