Please do not do this, it's all over the internet. You will stain your pool 100%. It is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when and the only thing which removes copper staining or copper cyanurate is an acid wash which will likely cost you $500-1000 depending on your region.

Bumpstops are intended to be the last resort when you bottom the axle, not to support ANY weight. This is a horrible idea. The only correct method to support additional weight are HEAVY DUTY SPRINGS.

If the piston doesn't wind back all the way the first time. Re engage caliper but put something in front of piston so it wont wind out by using old pads, after doing so a few times then the piston will wind all the way back and the caliper will sit on bracket nicely. Easiest way was by using an diag computer

There’s a pool guy that said it’s the chlorine that can push the copper to the walls and bottom of the pool and potentially stain it, he said use just a small amount of chlorine

Hi I am pretty much fed up with the middleman sort of speak. Our pool person doesn't do the job right always look slike crap always an excuse... I know that Copper kills algae and Silver kills bacteria... I am doing research to just keep all this stuff clear. My fish tank is crystal clear since I put soil, sand from the beach and water in it.
