Thank you for your advice for potential encaustic artist.
Hi! Can you please tell where you got your brush holder? I haven’t been able to find one like it. Many thanks!
Thank you for your tutorial. My paintings came out beautiful. I have a question. I polish it and it shines but very fast turns dull again. I like the look of when it is polished. Is there something I can use to make it looked polished and how would I put this on. Thanks
Why doesn’t the bottom layer of paper burn?
Where did you find your brush rests?
I am a fluid acrylic artist I am intrigued. I would love to give this a try. I have so many ideas in my head. All I need is some new supplies.
Thanks you Kathryn for your wonderful tutorial. Much appreciated.
That's so funny. I made a hot pallet for an idea I had to use the small chunks and stubs of my oil pastels.. I melted the pastels down and mixed with oil... Put em on the hot pallet and painted with them
Where did you find the metal brush holder?
Thank You 🌻
Thank you
Wow. Excellent intro to materials. Clear thorough understandable staying on point presented pleasantly without a shred of too often useless confusing jabber wanna be movie stars and idiots Very helpful Thank you :)
Great introduction. Thank you! 😊
Wonderful tutorial! What type of paper are you using?? Thank you
Super helpful Thank you.
Great video. Thanks.
very helpful and well explained thank you
You mention what sounds like "Slick" wax. Can you give more information on this?
THis has been so helpful. Thank you.
So, what are the papers? Great video but please reference for those of us just learning...vague suggestions not helpful. Learned a lot need more thanks
Does the wax ever melt off the picture?
Don't know why you don't just put the paint directly onto the hot plate. And why the paper is larger than the size of print area. Why not cut it to fit the plate?
What temp is your griddle
Did you add medium into the hot cakes or do you add medium went you mix it on the pallette
Do you have to gesso Masonite?
Yes
Do you have to gesso all the panels used? Also, should it be traditional gesso or store bought new kind?
Awesome video! Thank you
Great job, Mona! I will share this with my friends who work with encaustics.
Thank you. I wish you had included some specifics about the suitable papers.
I’m about to begin encaustic, just made my own medium, pretty excited!
Where do you find these brush rests? Thank you
Those look just like the cheap stands that come with soldering irons. I get you could find them online

Love this ! Thank you ! Kind regards - Judi - Australia
Really helpful, thank you.
Are you using Tepanyaki Plate?
Did you cover your board with encaustic gesso first?
I am new to encaustics. I took a class this weekend. We did not learn about the wax snaps, though. After watching this video, I am so eager to try them! Thanks for posting.
I noticed that you didn't use a heat gun or torch between applications. Is there some reason for that? Thank you.
I think it may have been omitted to speed up the video. There is a note onscreen, about half-way through, that states to fuse between layers.
how much are the tips the brushes ?
Thaks for this great video. I love your work
